  1. Perfect thanks a lot for the help!
  2. Need a bit of input from anybody with some good knowledge of the missile systems in DCS world. Just noticed that it would also be possible to add specific cues for some of the missiles. The AN/ALR69 script currently lists the following: MICA_R_ P_27AE_ P_77_ P_37_ AIM_54_ AIM_120_ AIM_120C_ Are all of these missile types active guidance? I take it that they are to be listed in the script, but I just wanted to check first to be sure. Huge thanks for any input.
  3. Had the X-52, upgraded to the TM Warthog, can't say enough good things about it really, it's just such a nice bit of kit. Only thing I dislike is the slew control on it, although it's hard to see from any images of it it's not a proper hat, it's just a microstick which can be incredibly sensitive, but obviously that can be negated with proper curve setups in-game. If you want to find it a bit cheaper Maplins are currently knocking them out for 279.99 which is a bargain compared to some of the prices I have seen in the UK. Don't think you can really beat the TM with your criteria.
  4. Ok scratch that, updated to 2nd of August update 2 for 1.2.5 and it seems to be fine again. Guess it was In the update that fixed the issue.
  5. From what GGTharos mentioned that is sadly the current issue, there are no LUA hooks for the RWR in the FC3 code, so accessing anything via script at the moment is not possible. I think we will most probably have to ask/wait for ED to add that, if they do intend to at some point. Hi Ralfi, yeah version 3.0 should be good for a while. I think I now have everything in place script wise so I will most likely from now on just be tweaking sound files and releasing them as partial updates with V3.0 as the base. (for example 3.1, 3.2 etc. for V3.0). So after you install V3 all you would need to do for any future updates is overwrite the affected sound files without having to install it all again from scratch. I won't be changing missile warning or anything so your tweaks shouldn't be affected after you have changed V3 to your liking. For any future updates I will list exactly which sound files have changed so you can decide if it will change anything you have tweaked and avoid those files when updating etc.
  6. Sadly I think it will be the same issue, the functions for the RWR on the FC3 based aircraft currently have no way of being hooked in LUA.
  7. DCS world is literally "the world" for both singleplayer and multiplayer. You need it to run any modules you purchase. It contains the game world and comes with the free SU25T module. FC3 is a collection of several lower fidelity simulation aircraft, in that one package you get the A-10A, the F-15, the SU-25 etc. However you also need LOMAC (Lock On Modern Air Combat by Ubisoft) installed on your computer (has to be purchased separately due to licensing issues). FC3 does not use LOMAC, it runs in DCS World like the other modules, but you have to have LOMAC installed for it to authorize. The A-10A single module is the A-10A from FC3, however it does not require LOMAC. The SU25 single module is the SU25 from FC3, it also doesn't require LOMAC. The A-10C, KA-50 and P-51D are the high fidelity (fully simulated) modules, fully clickable cockpits, fully simulated avionics, weapon systems etc. etc. As I said before, all of the above, regardless of which modules you buy, need DCS World installed to run them.
  8. I have played Hideout a number of times since I got the A-10C module and it's always been fun, however recently the past couple of times I can never progress past clearing the camp. All coms with Uzi seem to work fine up until after I have called in SEAD and get confirmation from him to proceed my attack on the camp. The past two times I have played this I have cleared the camp as usual but no longer get confirmation from Uzi that it is now clear and I should contact the Blackhawk flight and tell them to proceed. The F10 option seems to simply disappear from the coms menu at some point and even though there is literally nothing left alive at the camp (even after checking with labels) I have no confirmation from Uzi and no way of progressing the mission any further. Any ideas on this? I am a bit lost, have completed it a number of times in the past without issue but maybe I am doing something wrong now? Or is it bugged? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Thanks for the comment :) VLC has a bit of a job playing very short sound files for some reason, it literally won't play them, they do play properly in-game, you just can't preview them with VLC, if you want to check them out maybe try a freeware audio editor like Audacity or something. As for FC3 fingers crossed, sadly it doesn't look like it's possible at the moment.
  10. I presume you want A-10C ? FC3 has the A-10A and an assortment of other jets, also you could buy just the A-10A FC3 on it's own which is a standalone module but the same as the one that comes with FC3. A-10C is the full fidelity advanced sim, FC3 A-10 is not full fidelity (no click-able cockpit etc.) If you do want A-10C then do the following: 1: Download / install DCS World (free) http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/dcs_world/ 2: Download / install A-10C http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/modules/dcs_a10c_warthog/ 3: Purchased A-10C http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/products/warthog/ You will get a key which will unlock the A-10C module you downloaded in step 2.
  11. Updated to V3: Added audio cues for all radar equipped naval units to RAE TAC VIEW - Added Tac View reference for Naval Units in both desktop & mobile formats Balanced some of the lock tone volumes
  12. Runway numbers are magnetic heading rounded to the nearest 10. Runway 11 would be heading 110, runway 31, 310 etc.
  13. Oh wow don't think I have ever seen so many search radars and SA-11 sites on a map before! Thanks for posting this, really cool to see the mod in action in a MP game. Awesome vid and flying as always man!
  14. Many thanks for the kind feedback guys, really appreciate it! Also hugely grateful for all the input and help that has been given. Just on a side-note next update will add audio cues for all radar capable naval vessels as well.
  15. Definitely! Just would have been a nice addition for FC3 users, fingers crossed maybe it might be possible in the future.
  16. RAE Mod & TAC VIEW updated to v2. Update to V2: Updated RWR symbols based on Eddies input. Remove the leading zeros from the single digit SAM systems (08 now = 8 etc.) The P-19 Search RADAR RWR symbol changed to "S" TAC VIEW - Corrected SA radar code numbers (removed leading 0's) to align with the changes to RAE mod TAC VIEW - Added S300PS TR 30N6 TAC VIEW - Combined both mobile and desktop versions into one package
  17. Ah that's sad news indeed but many thanks for taking a look.
  18. Wow awesome feedback many many thanks Eddie! I have added your LUA corrections now thank you, will update the uploaded files later tonight with your changes. Regarding the tac view Flaplid it is the S300PS_TR_30N6? I completely missed it somehow! Just wanted to ask you also, does the Flaplid acquire/search AND lock or just lock? Currently I have it only locking, playing the SA10 lock tone as per your original Lua file, I presume the search radar hands off to the Flaplid for locking but the Flaplid TR doesn't search/acquire right? Anyway thanks again for your input, will get those changes made tonight. Thanks for taking a look :)
  19. Awesome news, let me know when you find out! :)
  20. Many thanks GGTharos, really glad you like it. As for the FC3 hooks are those definitely not in-place at the moment? _Dredd and Mustang had requested a port for the F-15/A-10A and I was going to take a look at doing that when I get hold of FC3, but if the actual output isn't there for the lua already I guess that might not be currently possible.
  21. Thanks man, glad you like it, and thanks for requesting it :)
  22. You were quite correct :) Re-worked it so it will run in SWF format, hopefully without any issues (although on my phone you need to do long held presses on the buttons instead of tapping them otherwise it jumps 2 frames each time instead of one), link on the first page or here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/916762/RAE_TACVIEW_MOBILECOMPATIBLE.rar you will also need something such as SWF Player for android > https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.issess.flashplayer
  23. Hi Dredd, I'm afraid I don't have FC3 sadly at the moment, it is possible it could be ported, it really depends on how the FC3 lua for handling RWR is handled. Sadly I have no experience with coding for android, the above "app" is incredibly simple, it's more like a webpage contained in an application than anything. What I could do is try and host it somewhere so it could be accessible via your phone on the web, but I couldn't provide a standalone app. I could however make a random quiz based off of the above if it would be of interest to a few people. Thanks for the feedback :)
  24. Hi Flagrum, basically any sound which uses the original ED acquire "blip" isn't actually used in-game, to simplify things for me when making the flash app I just listed everything as it appears in the LUA file, however, some units do not "acquire" and some units do not "lock" if that makes any sense. For example the Roland EWR never "locks" but it tracks (acquires) so by default in the lua it's locking sound is set as default just to prevent breaking anything if things changed, the same applies to some other units such as the Vulcan which switches immediately from no tracking directly into a locked state. I do apologise, it was kind of confusing so I have uploaded a version removing any buttons that do not play back the correct sounds and also added all the acquisition sounds for the air units too. Thanks for checking it out  https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/916762/RAE_TACVIEW.rar
