  1. Probably because the last stable was 15.12
  2. I think you're just trying to bash the Warthog?
  3. As I commented on your newer video on the Iris software, ED should implement an option for the pointer to stick on the switches, like Falcon does.
  4. Ah, ok, thank you. It's weird that they've build their software this way though. Freetrack and Opentrack can be used as a mouse in desktop and in programs. Maybe a program/game could be coded to support it as a mouse? Edit: Btw, have you tried this? [ame] [/ame]
  5. Ok, I've asked this earlier in the thread and in Reddit but couldn't get a proper answer. Has anyone tried to use this together with the TrackIR? No, it won't be like the inside of the washing machine, because, 1) EyeX should be used as mouse emulation only, 2) that's not how headtracking works anyway... You'd be using the EyeX as a mouse pointer only, to click on switches.
  6. The only way you could use this in DCS, that I can think of, is in combination with a headtracking device, you could use your eyes to control the mouse pointer, if it's precise enough. Turn your head around to change view with TrackIR/whatever, and look at what ever switch you want to click.
  7. Buying the card for VR is an even bigger reason to wait, especially if you're willing to pay for a 980ti. There have been indications by Oculus that AMD handles it better. Things might have changed, but still...
  8. If you can, wait for the next generation of cards.
  9. Nah, the 390 costs the same and performs a little better than the 970.
  10. The problem is that Nvidia made some shitty moves, but due to good (guerrilla) marketing they've managed to not be hit as much as AMD by them. Everyone's talking about AMD's bad drivers, and everyone forgot Nvidias card destroying drivers, for example. And? What does that have to do with the discussion?
  11. That says absolutely nothing about the quality of the cards.
  12. Yes, marketing... Are you using Apple's products because most of the people buy them too?
  13. Nope, AMD wins every price point, except the highest performance, where 980ti beats the Fury X. Everything else, AMD is better. The 980 loses to 390x/Fury(non X). It's not about performance/$.
  14. I got to ask though, do you really need to upgrade your card right now? The next generation cards shouldn't be too late, and they should be a huge improvement over this generation.
  15. The 390 alone is a better card than the 970. You are comparing different classes of cards. The 390x goes against the 980. If you can get the 390x for 970 money, always go for the 390x. Also, if you can find the 390 for 970 money, go for the 390. I think they're underselling the 970 right now to hit the AMD cards, since they have started to sell well the last couple of months. Nvidia's cards have driver problems in win10 right now, which also means that any advantage they had in stability over AMD is null.
  16. Get the 380. Better card than the 960 at the same (almost) cost.

I really like the shine of the props. Do the other prop planes have that?
  18. 390 is the better card in general, and since 1.5 I have no problem recommending AMD cards for DCS.
  19. If you don't mind changing vendors, the 390 is a better card than the 970.
  20. It all depends on the prices.
  21. How easy is to get this for the TF-51? Since you don't have any controls on the backseat.
  22. He means there's a subforum for video and screenshot posting. More people could see your video if you post there.
  23. This is wrong. Or badly worded. Also, there is SATA express too.
  24. There is no immersion killer like low fps/stutters.
  25. http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/PWYTcf For 2.3k AUD you can even build a Skylake pc with a monster SSD and a R9 390. Or... http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/frHBnQ With a smaller SSD, a 970 and a bigger case.
