This is why I have my stick placed between my legs mounted on my flight chair. I think that G940 forcefeedback will be strong enough to give vibrations through the chair, maybe not much but enough to sense it. I have not built a solid cockpit, its just a transformed office chair with all the controlls built into the chair itself :). I will find out next week when I get the logitech G940 system.

I have just ordered this system and I hope to recieve it next week. Can someone tell me the size of the throttle/stick (base length, hight etc). Thanks in advance

I agree on all of your points and the main negative things I think is the lack of a dynamic campaign and AI that react more like real people and get out of harms way if they get fired upon. I thought that DCS would have a dynamic campaign when I bought it but I was wrong. It is a wounderfull simulator, best I ever played but it could be better if they changed some things.

I agree. This is a simulator and is supposed to simulate a real military helicopter in action so the first thing is to improve the AI and the textures that simulate real combat. I would ofcourse love to see nicer terrain too but first of all I want to have a simulator that responds like the real thing in warfare and DCS is close but some things is just irritating like the AI and the ability to use ground as cover.

Whats the point by doing this? I mean why not create a folder on your desktop with your games in it? Have I missed something?

I agree with the grinding feel. I have the x52 system right now and I the only problem I have is with the grinding feel in the joystick, its hard to make precise adjustments, I really need a smooth stick and if G940 fails on this part I have no use to change my system setup.

If they send by regular mail this is normal. They have their hands tied and the postal service does not do anything before the 6 weeks has passed. I had this problem with a missing letter sent from Sweden to the US and had the same problem. Its not ED who is lazy its the postal service that have these rules. I know this is frustrating but all you can do is to wait untill the 6 weeks has passed and after that contact the postal service or if ED will do it for you. I wish there was a spell checker for firefox that could check my english spelling cause I know it sucks badly but I think you get the point :P

This is weird. What I heard was that BS should be upgraded to work with the A-10 standard, thats a major part of the hole deal.

Yeah I know how to use my wingmen and how to set up datalink targets but sometimes it seems like me and my wingmen speaks a different language, they have to learn english better I guess ;)

Well he had the curtesy to tell you anyway, maybe he was low on fuel? I mean my wingmen didnt say anything, they just left, talking jibbrish and then crashed when fuel ran out.

I have the same problems. My FPS is ok, between 20 and 30 when it gets hot but I still get stutters and freeze, don't know whats the problem.

I must agree with you on that. I love this sim and ED have done a lovely work on most of the things but this is one thing that could have been much better and it drags down the playability a bit in my own opinion.

I am really sorry, I was so sure I saw it on the swedish site but now when I look I must have looked at the US site or something cause it says 299$ and I translated it to about 3000 swedish crowns but thats a bit over the edge, maybe 2700 swedish crowns is more likely. I need to check with logitech sweden when this might be released here. Thats true. The list price on the swedish logitech site for the G25 wheel is 3999 swedish crowns and you can buy this for less then 2500 swedish crowns from other sellers.

My wingmen must be low on IQ. I flew the campaign mission "over the other side". When we reached the target area and we had everything under controll, one of my wingmen crashed into my tail and died, I had to make an emergency landing and recover. I flew back, the two wingmen alive meet me up halfway (they could have been waiting I think). We flew back to the target area, I used my datalink to pinpoint targets. All of a sudden wingman three repeatedly said; rejoin and took off followed by my second wingman. I told both of them to attack datalink target, they acknowledged but flew away in another direction. I guess that they where low on fuel. They said that they where under attack several times also. I looked at the replay and saw that they where not under attack, both of them crashed after a while because of empty fuel tanks. I mean if they new they where low on fuel I think they should say so and as a normal pilot fly back to base before the fuel runs out. Well I finished the mission myself so its all good but this was rather irritating :/

I ask the same question again. What makes the saitek stand out before the logitech g940? If the price of 500 Euro is right then the 200 Euro over the g940 must have something that makes the Saitek so much better. You don't even get any rudder pedals with the saitek and 500 Euros is lots of money, I even think that 300 Euros for the G940 is a bit over the edge but then you get rather much for the money.

I read somewhere on this forum that the price would be around 500 euros and that is much money and you don't get any rudders in the package? 300 euros for the logitech g940 sounds like you get more for the money cause I can't really see whats so special with this device?

This would indeed be usefull so lets hope theres someone out there that have the time and effort to make this app :)

I have my setup this way too, with the shkval on my right monitor. My only problem is that communication messages is displayed on one portion top right of the center (main) screen and the rest on my right top left screen. I wish it was displayed just on the main screen. I have my second screen aligned at the top right side of my main screen, if I have it lower it does not display at all and when it is displayed it gets stuck untill another message is displayed or the shkval is in use. Is there anyway to make the messages display on either the right or main screen only? I have the same problem but I have my extended monitor on my right side. I am only using the Shkval in my right monitor but I have the same problem with text, it starts on my right side of my main (center) monitor and continues over to the right monitor. Here are my options LUA and monitor LUA.
