  1. About GBU-12, you have to HOLD NWS button to constantly paint the target. That's when L will flash. If L doesn't flash, laser is just armed. You need to paint the target just in the last 10-8 seconds before impact, not the whole flight down.
  2. You guys watched Jetstream? It's not about spoon-feeding information, it's about repetition, discipline and self initiative. Drinking from the firehose. There's definitely a need for somewhat standardised course, but these things aren't supposed to be user-friendly. There's a reason why so much info is thrown at you. If you'll grind through it, you'll process critical info faster and made instant right decisions in the heat of battles. You don't think what TMS down or china forward does, you have to know it before you press it. This is the first step. Grinding yourself to what all hat combos do, so you react instantly and flawless. I think that makes every other(further) aspect much easier.
  3. Before you fly the mission, go to mission editor and just close it, to get spawned on a different location, not next to that red house.
  4. After two US modules, it would be time to make a DCS russian fighter. Suggested SU30 would fit well, imo.
  5. 60 bucks is barely over 43 euros, STEAL for such extensive and detailed product. Too high would be in a 60-70 euro range.
  6. If you're buying now, buy the Intel's 2500K cpu. It's the latest gen. cpu and with best price/performance ratio. Then build the rest of the system around it.
  7. Hmm, i thought visible light affects only while in track clip mode. But pro uses IR leds and the camera filters out visible range light.
  8. Yep, FC2 came far enough. It's already developed far beyond the original LOMAC. It's a separate, finished product. It's time to let it go, and just concentrate on present and future DCS modules.
  9. porn on a mfd
  10. My portable, modular, flying/racing lolpit evolution. There's TIR at the top of the screen and ofcourse hunged pedals/rudders&brake. Two joypads provide 50 buttons and are detachable, so i can use'em for fifa or whatever. G25 provides another 12 buttons, 4 on the throttle and another 16 on the stick. I bolt the wheel on, when i need it (Shift 2 comes in a month). Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  11. TM themselves should come up with such product. Two TRUE mfd's, the size of those in real A10. These are somewhat bigger than those in F16 and with sharp edges. They'd sell like hotcakes! But would one USB be enough to power the screen and the bezel buttons?
  12. I don't have a credit card
  13. The only difficulty i found, were some complicated words. I can never write them properly without googling them first. Like environment or consciousness, that's my favourite. You know how to say them and what they mean, but writing'em down is a PITA. But i'm sure Germans can come up with even worse examples...
  14. English hard, hahaha. Try Slovenian, we got dual beside single and plural, plus three genders and times, so the number of permutations on how and when you say any word in a sentence, just skyrockets. I always had lower grades in Slovenian than English, go figure... Easiest language on the planet
  15. Yeah, but i still don't expect it this month. In the "worst" case scenario, it'll come out together with A10C. There goes this years birthday money and my social life  btw, is it me, or does Kaz have a bruise on his left cheek? Like someone kicked him in the face or something...
  16. Customs everywhere are on high alert right now, it's really the worst time for shipping any kind of "military" stuff around.
  17. You should use Virtual panel to set those gauges in place. Or were they out of place only in that picture? Other than that, it's very good layout, it'll sure keep you busy for a while...
  18. That's the thing i was aiming for. If this sim is hard enough on its own, what will happen when ED blows us away with a multirole fighter jet!?
  19. Yeah, no doubt. I can't wait to start learning it, i just wanna know how does it compare to other sims. What parts are all-new, and what systems have been implemented before. CCIP and CCRP really can't be THAT different, right? Basically, the flight model itself is harder to fly, if i understand correctly. More of a WW2 feeling than F-16? Plus all the systems, which were simplified in other sims are fully modelled here. Managing all those WHILE flying (in a hostile environment) represents the main challenge.
  20. Seriously. In Falcon4, the major part of (learning) the game, was mastering the radar AA and AG (sub)modes and ofcourse ACM and BFM theory. So how does this sim compare to Falcon, what other systems are there to keep you busy, or must be learned all over again? What is the next hardest thing to master, when there's no radar to play with? IMO, this is easier (less complicated) plane to live with, comparing to multirole F-16. Less time spent on systems and more on the action.
  21. Over 10 years in development and STILL NO 3D PIT? Cmon, with everybody now owning headtracking devices, a quality 3D pit must be a priority! Also, setting buttons is PITA. You got 300 buttons to look after, fullHD monitor, but all that's shown is a tiny little square and all is crammed inside. It seems that devs got their heads so far in the woods of realism, they forgot the GAME part of the sim. For me, a beautiful cockpit and easy interaction with the game is a BIG priority. Everybody is competing for example "FreeFalcon has more realistic JDAM release sequence than OpenFalcon". I don't care about that, if 3D cockpit is ugly and UNREALISTIC. We know it can be done. Before u say Use OpenFalcon, i reply: nu2_yNyG5L8
  22. Can the same level of immersion be achieved with a projector, or do three separate images give better immersion than one that's equal size?
  23. Portrait is what he has now. But i don't understand the point of such layout, human eyes capture bigger azimuth angle (side to side) than elevation for a reason. Isn't landscape layout more immersive?
  24. How about F15 strike eagle? Janes F15 deserves an upgrade. We had A10a in LOMAC, we got A10c, can the F15c be "upgraded" the same way? About the FA 18 superhornet: As much i would love to see this bird in DCS, there was a discusion at VRS forum: because some weapon parts of NATOPS are still classified, there is no way for devs to accuratelly model weapon systems for this airplane. But i'll keep my hope alive. Here's the source: "For a jet combat sim the Tac manual is what devs need in order to fully model the weapons systems etc. Which is why ED has never done a Hornet addon for DCS or Lockon because they do not have enough information or the Tac manual to make a good attempt at making such an addon.(it would be very popular if someone did such an addon) Part of the reason why Falcon 4, Allied Forces and Open Falcon/Free Falcon 5 are so popular is not only because of the dynamic campaign but also because the F-16s systems is based off the F-16 manuals and most of the stuff you read in the manuals can be done in the sim." http://forums.vrsimulations.com/forums/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4329
  25. A10c to be modded into a UAV. Can AI provide efficient CAS? http://www.flightglobal.com/articles/2010/09/23/347692/competitition-starts-to-demonstrate-close-air-support-by.html
