  1. I don't know why but when the shark was following the hog on taxiway (@1:37) it just reminded me this: :megalol: Hey hog... wanna shut our neighbor, Hog?... wanna... wanna? Don't get wrong I love the Shark as much as I love Hog.... but no more than I love the Toad of course :D
  2. LOL I was too lazy to explain further :music_whistling:but yes the ionization occurs due to contamination, although I remember to read somewhere that CO2 can also ionize distilled water, not sure about this though... in other hand, as we can't just use distilled water and have to add some chemicals (corrotion inibitor and anti-algae) then we are "contaminating" the water, right? Anyway, I agree with you... the water loop need to be flushed periodically due to degradation in the anti-algae/corrosion inhibitor properties. Regards
  3. Also if you change the color of the labels, let's say to black dots, then configure a button on your joystick to quickly enable/disable the labels while doing your gun strafing... trust me it's not funny when you find out that you were shooting at a label instead of the target... :-p
  4. Please correct me if I'm wrong but AFAIK there isn't such thing as "Non-Conductive" fluid, even distilled water will get ionized again when in touch air (afaik).... that's why Koolance label it's fluid as Low-Conductivity, right? I think that leak testing is essential when water cooling, and it doesn't take much to do it... just a few hours (12 Hours would be desirable to be 100% sure). I rather prefer spending 24H while leak testing than spending hundreds of $ replacing my GTX580 :D just because it got fried... just thinking a loud Regards
  5. Just imagine your A-10C pipper cut in half and with that big black strip in between! Forget about this... considering that you have a pretty decent machine this could be a good option if you have the budget! But, driving three monitor will hurt your FPS... I'm running 3x22"@1080p and my poor rig (see my signature) cries when I fire DCS. If your really hate your current monitor then I would say change it, and if it happends to be one of those HDTV@720p then do yourself a favor throw it out the window... In the end its just personal preference but please allow me to refer you to this reply BTW you didn't specify if you own a TrackIR device... if you don't have one then I would recommend that you invest some money on acquiring one, you won't regret it... Regards
  6. Fast fingers lol
  7. Don,t know if there are any available... try using search. Btw if you are going to create a profile just be aware that the canon is fired with the "Release selected weapon" or "Fire selected weapon" key, wich is the space bar as far as i can remember... there is a key labeled as "Canon" that is used to selected the canon a current weapon when the hub is in "Ground Mode" Anyway I,m also learning to handle the Toad so let me know if you need further assistance
  8. Yep... I'm affraid you will have to create another profile for the SU-25T, even if you are using Saitek's Profiler, they are different birds and they use different key mapping... but hey don't be worried... the SU-25T isn't modeled at the level of A-10C, so you just need to map a couple of keys to get it going and drop some ordinance
  9. AFAIK what you are trying to do isn't recommended because it can lead to strange behavior... anyway, if you are a Windows 7 user look inside the "Saved Games" folder that is inside you profile folder... there should be a DCS folder that stores your profile for the game (saved tracks, etc)... You can't probably find the files using the search because they use some sort of GUID as the name of the file... they should be in \config\inputs folder that is inside DCS's saved game folder
  10. Very valid comment I can't comment on that matter because my poor core i7 has never been able to run DCS modules (even the old standalone ones) with frame rates above 25fps but leaving that fact aside I think that DCS World is a big improvement in terms of integration... no more "compatibility patch" is needed for the modules to interact with each other... plus the added value that 3rd party developments can bring to the community, etc... But let's not start another FPS war thread and hope this matter is addressed soon, so we all can enjoy this study sim... Regards
  11. Shame on you if you didn't bought CA module as well :glare: Just kidding...:D
  12. @Mar044 Thanks Dude... I know what you mean and as I said I'm not using full labels but dots instead, dots causes less clutter but then it can be confusing when using rockets or the gun... crap... it's that a tank or a dot? I just use them when I'm really frustrated because of I can't find my target Sure it helped me... after seeing your track it's clear the areas where I need to improve 1.- Learn to not get target fixated. I crashed a couple of time while practicing with your track. 2.- Learn how to position myself for the attack. I thought that dive bombing was just for free fall bombs... but now I know it applies to rockets and guns too, they all are ballistics objects after all, aren't they? 2.- Learn to manage my speed while attacking targets... 3.- Learn to identify targets and use the right weapon. On my first attempt with your track I managed to destroy all targets excepts the Abrams, but that was because I used S-8KOM rockets wich, according to specs on internet, only have a 400mm penetrating warhead... the M1 Abrams is reported to have 700mm against HEAT... go figure Anyway... many thanks for the track and for taking time to anwser my RFH... I know you must be very busy Reagards
  13. Hi Can somebody give me some advice to improve my aimming skills with guns and rockets? I've attached a track just to ilustrate how much I suck... even there is a part at the end where I'm trying to destroy a truck with main gun and the bullets hit just behind the truck.. twice  Anyway... please Toad lovers, help. P.S: The track was made using DCS World 1.2.0. Sorry for the labels and got them on and configured to show black dots for all (enemies and allies) Gun and Rockets.trk
  14. I just wondering what made you think that the shark has such capabilities. AFAIK DCS Black Shark only has NVG (Night Vision Googles) and the normal zoom... I might be wrong though:music_whistling:
  15. Ok guys lit your torches, he will learn to support our team or burn to ashes ... just kidding:megalol: Rome was not build in one day pale, they had to start somewhere or with something should I say
  16. Hey Panzertard, I just wanted to let you know that, as expected, I no longer suffer from this bug after I upgraded to DCS World 1.2.0 + modules. Thanks
  17. Crap... today I faced a hard decision: Buy upgrade parts for my water cooling loop or buy DCSCA instead... and well, guess who lost... I just bought CA and replaced my old BS1 with a full BS2 :D Now I have A-10C, BS2, P-51D and CA just to play with the SU-25T :P (Before you lit your torches, yes I know I just need to buy the modules that I'm going to use, but what the heck?... I want them all)
  18. Hey, thanks for taking time to look at it... I think that the problem could be my system, my cpu is always in turbo mode (2.8Ghz) even after resetting bios to defaults :(... My last resource its to flash the bios hoping it will reset everything back... Weird enough, A-10C module for DCS World works just fine:huh:... but that's because that module loads a different binary than the SU-25T, right? :smartass:
  19. Hope your new board returns quickly mate...
  20. According to the cpu support list for the mobo the Core i7 2700K is supported since version 7751v11.zip. Well a last thing you should consider is to test your main components outside the case... Put your motherboard on antistatic mat (or in worst case above the antistatic bag that came with the mobo)... plug the corresponding psu conectors (as mentioned by PoleCat), be sure to use the correct 4/8 cpu connector and not a 4/8 vga connector from your psu, then turn on your mobo directly from the power on pins on the main header... you can use a jumper to quickly short the power on pins until the fans begin to spin. Regarding the thermal compund, well unless you really did a bad work applying it and installing your aftermarket cooler then I would say that in the worst case you will only have bad temperatures but your system should power on and post... in the other I see that the Phantek ph-tc14pe can handle three fans  but I'm wondering if one of those fans have a 4 pin connector like the one that comes with the stock fan cooler... so check that Some motherboards will power down itself if the cpu fan isn't detected... just as an example, I got an Asus P6T7 WS watercooled with an Koolance 360 and if I don't connect the stock intel fan cooler then my P6T7 refuses to POST... I don't remember if it show me a message before powering down though... Also, check if your mobo's manual to see if it has some small diag leds (one for cpu and one for vga and sometimes one for ram) that may give you a clue if one of those components are faulty
  21. Sorry, I should have ask you what where you trying to achieve... I don't know if it can be done, and I haven't tried myself. An idea that comes to my mind is to put your second monitor below your main one and configure DCS to use it as lower viewport, that way you'll have a nice view of the instruments... you will need to add something like the foolowing to your monitor definition _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('5 Screen'); Description = 'Configuration with 5 identical monitors each with its own camera' Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 1280; height = 1024; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = screen.aspect / 5; }, Down = { x = 0; y = 1024; width = 1280; height = 1024; viewDx = 0; viewDy = -1; aspect = screen.aspect / 5; } } UIMainView = Viewports.Center ViewDx and ViewDy controls the position of the viewport with respect of the center viewport, have a look at this thread for more info... Remember that you need to set your monitors in windows to match you DCS setup. Anyway if you wanna give a try let me know... I'll be glad to help
  22. Yes it's possible, I'm playing with three 22"@1920x1080 monitors for a combined resolution of 5760x1080. you need to specify how your monitors are connected in order to get some help, Are you using eyfinity, TH2GO or SoftTH?
  23. a) Please try to describe what you were doing - and trying achieve. I was just trying to play the game b) Were there specific factors involved? Were you doing something particular? Bombing, strafing, was something destroyed when the problem happened? (etc). I got the error even doing nothing in the mission (starting from ramp). I tried unplugging my controllers and without using SoftTH but the error persist c) Were you just using singleplayer / user-interface / multiplayer? Single player d) Does the problem occur just in a specific mission? What about other missions? The problem occurs with all missions I've tried, both with SU-25t and P-51D missions e) Can you produce the problem again on command? Yes, I just load a mission and after it loads I unpause it, then press Esc to exit mission and... Windows reports dcs.exe stopped working and ask me to try to find a solution on the web. I hit cancel and the game returns to mission debrief and show the statics of the mission... It even happend to me once when I was watching my last mission, the game CTD while I was viewing my target from outside view... I think I was about to launch an air-to-ait missile from my SU-25T f) Can you get around the problem by changing some factors in the game? Tried a couple of things... installing a fresh copy of DCS World, deleting DCS folder from my saved games, I also installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 64bits and installed updated drivers for chipset, sound, vga and saitek's drivers/software I wish i could be more helpful... Note: With my original Windows I was getting the message, after formating now the games just show me a frozen image in the left monitor, wich is my main monitor, and won return to mission debrif until I hit ESC Attachment description: dcs_logs1.zip: content of the logs folder after loading a quick mission and exiting. the logs folder was empty before flying the mission dcs_logs2.zip: content of the logs folder after the game CTD while viewing "Against A-10c.trk" Test_Mission.miz: mission file I created just for fun, it was used to generate "Against A-10c-trk" DxDiag64.txt: saved info from DXDiag 64 bits DxDiag64.txt: saved info from DXDiag 32 bits dcs_logs1.zip dcs_logs2.zip DxDiag64.txt DxDiag32.txt Test Mission.miz Against A-10c.trk
  24. Yeah... that's why I bought my GTX580 3GB, was going to purchase a GTX680 but wifie didn't want to sell the house... what a bummer  I love the part where the hole base is atacked... Grandma look! Fireworks... niiiiice Anyway... I'm considering overclocking my i7 920 but for that I need to redo my watercooling loop because my temps are awful (44°@2.66 Idle)... Stupid plasticizer
