I went to 3 x 27"@1080p Led monitors because I found them at a really good price, and I thought that, being dcs a more cpu dependant game, my gtx580 3GB could handle them, and to some extent it can though not as I wish. While running StrongHarm's FPS Killer mission in DCS A-10C my GTX580 registers a max load of 98@82°C in GPU-Z... but the mission runs at 1 FPS:cry: that its with High Settings + Heat Blur, 4x MSSA, TSSA enabled, etc. @PeteP Yep... I'm planning for TH2GO but as I said: I'm poor

I still want to sink that sucker... :spam_laser: I think I really need to improve my evasive maneuvers:D

I'm using the precision slider directly in DCS and it works fine... my rotaries are not as steady as the precision slider... I think my X52 its getting old

I must say that so far I'm loving the "toad" Last night I tried to take down the USS Carl Vinson using a KH-58 and the Phantasmagoria ELINT pod... the carrier fired two missiles at me just before I was able to launch both kh-58 just seconds before my toad was broken in half... LOL I thrown everthing at those missiles from chaf, flares, tomatoes... god even the virtual helmet :huh: Wondering if the Hog can put a GBU on carl's deck deck from high altitude and scape without scratches?:pilotfly:

You don't understanding probably because where you live new technology arrives quickly or at least in a fair amount of time compared with where I lived... and probably prices are fair enough too! Want an example: My GTX 580 3GB cost me about 1200USD after taxes, etc.... that's twice the price at wich is sold in amazon . You would say... buy from amazon then! Well that's another history... mortals like me only have access to 400USD "PER YEAR"... yes I can only spend online (web stores, etc) $400 for the whole year Anyway, from a technological point of view I really agree with you: why buy old tech when there's better tech on the market? Well I must admit that I just looked at local web stores, probably if I try harder I can find someone selling LCDs based on IPS/PVA panels but that would probably cost me an arm or leg... because that seller will know that not every store is selling that kind of tech... exclusiveness and cutting edge tech has a cost BTW I end up buying two LG E2360V instead of the planned LG W2353V, and yes both are discontinued in LG's home page, but our local version of "EBAY" is flooded with both monitors Thanks for your reply and please excuse if I'm being rude... that's not the intention I'm not, my 580 drives just two... I'm using a second cheap PCI Express graphic card to drive the other two monitors and SoftTH (Thanks Kegetys) to handle multihead in games... AFAIK my EVGA 580 can handle a third monitor through its HDMI port but I'm not comfortable with the lack of retention hardware to keep the connector in place... just a personal preference. Crap... i found a good deal on a LG W2353V... it's a 2ms 1920x1080 2ms with DVI. According to maximun pc this has some flaws but it performs well in gaming... Hope I can get a discount for buying 3 of these

Hey guys I have a MS FFB2 stick, I was wondering if the joystick loose its return to center force in P-51D.. if so a guy posted a nice program for BS2 that improves the force feedback... as far i can remember this program takes control of the joystick's force feedback http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=84883&highlight=force+feedback Might be we can use it to temporary get some dampening on the joystick and get rid of the missing "return to center" thing... while ED implements proper Feedback :joystick: I can't try it myself because I'm still downloading my P-51D... What do you think... worth trying?

Good question, although I would prefer being able to use my current serial (or upgraded serial) with the "full version" when it comes available, instead of having to install BS2/A-10C and then the update/patch... Upgrading from BS to BS 2 requires you to spend a little amount of money (or buy the hole game again if you are like me :megalol:)... so I think that it will depend on how much effort it does take to migrate A-10C/BS2 to the new world engine. If this new world worth the upgrading then I would not blame ED for charging me some money for "upgrading" my serials, but please don't quote me on this because I love Fly simulation so much that I bought all versions of MSFS since version 2002 (except MS Fly)... :pilotfly: Anyway, let's see what ED has to say. Thanks for anwsering... I got a GTX 580 3GB driving 4 monitors (3 x 17" monitors@1280x1024 plus my 32" HDTV@1920x1080i)... so far I got ~10-20FPS at high settings in A-10C, but I don't mind trading eye candy for smoothness... in fact I would prefer being able to seing objects at long distances...

As per title, I'm planning to upgrade my carp AOC 32" 720p HDTV, I'm looking for something that help me to better see my targets while doing my strafe runs on the A-10C... I was thinking to buy a 32" 1080p HDTV but they are out of my budget, and I really don't want to keep my old HDTV because playing at 1080i is just as horrible as playing at 720p, so my options are reduced to a 22" or 23" lcd... these ones are available at a well known local store 23" LG E2360V 21.5" Samsung S22A300B 23" LG W2353V 22" AOC 2236VW There might be other monitors available but just don't know what to look for. With lattest GPU-Z you can also left-click on the label and it will switch between current/min/max/average value... :thumbup: Don't know if you need to enable logging to that function become available tough

Well, we are more or less stuck at same boat now: trying to run 4 monitors... I just gave up by now until I upgrade my VGA... Based on what I've read in this forum, if your CPU is overclocked to 4.0 I don't think you will gain much by switching it, unless you bought a i7 Extreme with more L3 Cache and overclock it to >5Ghz. I cann't give you any further advice in case of VGA... maybe when I buy my GTX580 3GBI can tell then if more ram in the vga does help to improve FPS :D By now I just have a 32" HDTV 720p @1366x768 paired with a 17" 1280x720. I'm just exporting MFCD, although looking forward to give Hellios a try Regards

Agree... I personally prefer to always download the latest full install when its available, burn it to a DVD and then storing it on my boxed version along with the original DVD, that way I will have quick access to a more updated version in case I need to reinstall my game again...:D For me, I'm going to buy the boxed version of A-10C as a collection item...

Well, I've got that purple heart medal a few times... mostly by getting my A-10C broken in half after destroying many targets in missions flown through Mission Editor... I had never been awarded a medal during campaign or "normal" missions. I also did some research and apparently in real life Purple Heart medal is awarded if you get KIA or WIA.... P.S Had somebody notice that in mission debriefing sometimes it says you got ejected after dying? I mean the thing goes like this Actor Target Action Put your favorite AAA/SAM Here Player A-10C Shoot Put your favorite AAA/SAM Here Player A-10C Hit Player A-10C Failure Player A-10C Dead Player A-10C Ejected Player A-10C Crash How can I get ejected if I'm dead? Did you think it can give me troubles in the future if I leave it this way, or should I open a support ticket?:huh:
