  1. Talk about intense live performances...
  2. Just brilliant. Absolutely amazing, the perfect vibe, mix of styles. Ah, Radiohead... :)
  3. There's something sweet and attractive about depression. I'm not sure what it is, but Joy Division surely delivers it. Such a shame Curtis isn't here anymore... What a genious. One of the most inspiring writers I've seen.
  4. One of my favourite songs by "the only band that matters". Gotta love The Clash :D
  5. All hail Mark Knopfler :notworthy:
  6. Although it can do air defense better than anything the FAA ever got its hands on, I don't think it solves anything. On the FAA point of view, the Typhie is a land-based aircraft and, as such, cannot replace any embarked aircraft simply because it's not there. As soon as the fleet leaves the port, the Typhoon is already less effective than a Harrier, independant of variant. Also, even if the Typhoon can perform the missions both FA.2 and GR.9 used to carry with the FAA and RAF, I don't think Britain's really interested in risking a 63-million Euro 4.5 Gen. fighter for dropping some load over insurgents - and CAS as a whole. The Tonka is a whole different story, however.
  7. :D All for the ball :P
  8. I think there was a bit of misunderstandment there, guys. They aren't getting rid of the Nimrods, they've just cancelled the replacement Nimrod project (not aware of the details). Nimrods are not getting the axe that soon then, no? :)
  9. Rolling Stones in Moscow in November :D:D:D - Ha! :P
  10. I'd guess they'll stick with Navy, no? Betting S/Hornet or even the plain old Bug, depending on what they're aiming at...
  11. Does it make that much of a difference? And yeah, Fighter Wings and Fighter Squadron makes it pretty much clear :P Jinro, lets just call it fighter for convenience then? :D
  12. It's not about being arrogant, more like a matter of good old lineshooting. It's not an option, more of a package deal instead: if you're a fighter pilot, you have to shoot a line a bit, go a bit cocky and do your fair bit of show-off. It's a matter of being professional. On a more serious note, they just do it for the joke, and their colleagues take it with a lot of fair play, replying in the same tone as well. Nothing bad about that to me. As a matter of fact, I just love it. Fighter pilot's humour is just brilliant. And by the way, pilots in general are, in a way or another, like that as well. It's just that fighter pilots show the symptoms in a rather intense way.
  13. Indeed, Zulu. I was stunned when I saw it during 2009's Le Bourget. Not happy with just impressing us, towards the end of the display the pilots do a beautiful knife-edge pass. I was speechless :shocking:
  14. "Flash out!"
  15. [insert Classic Sexist Joke Here :music_whistling:] :P
  16. Boy, I hope it isn't hungry :D Beautiful picture, Viper  Spent some time in St. Andrews this summer, from the University's sport center you had a pretty good view of the base. Ain't nothing like playing tennis or swimming in the north sea to the sound of Tornados and Toucans :P
  17. Go 80's!! :D
  18. Already did it... No luck  You're mean, you know?
  19. :fear:
  20. EDIT: Nevermind, need to check the User CP more often :P To leave some content in the post... Anyone likes movies? :D
  21. Just found some oldies on my HD. These are my father's, but I think it's worth sharing :)
