  1. When flying the Su-25 in FC2, patched, I experience an issue with the heading bug and waypoint needle on the ADI. I start-up, taxi and takeoff normally, and after I'm airborne, I select "route" mode. The HSI course and waypoint arrows show that I am on the correct course, and the ADI altitude indicator works properly, but the ADI heading bug and waypoint needle don't indicate that I'm on the correct course. The attached screenshot illustrates the issue. Note the HSI needles and the waypoint selection on the short-range navigation panel.
  2. And AFAIK, the USAF would have a herd of cows if their pilots were going longer than 12 hours without rest.
  3. I read that bright computer screens basically have the same effect. I don't know that it "resets" your body clock though, it just screws up your sleep cycle. You can zone out and keep functioning for a while, but you'll be asleep before you even realize it when you finally do crash.
  4. If you haven't already, you may want to view the ADI/HSI navigation tutorial at http://flankertraining.com/ironhand/flightbasics.htm It has an in-depth explanation of how to navigate using the instruments. The FC2 tutorial sort of skims over the topic.
  5. Star Wars EPR
  6. According to the 26 Aug 2010 ICAO aerodrome chart, Batumi only has one runway. Maykop however has two parallel runways and a heliport according to the most recent aerodrome chart I could find (2007), something not reflected in the game.

  8. What you said. The guy has a serious concussion at minimum, maybe a fractured skull.
  9. You could probably successfully take off and climb. Navigating and landing would be another matter entirely.
  10. Holy sh*t. I think his head smashed against the ceiling. WTH is funny about that?
  11. This might suit: http://www.danosongs.com/
  12. Be sure to deactivate your game before you reformat and save yourself an activation.
  13. Found the discussion: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=52511&highlight=power+tower+trees
  14. Is there a way to render a tree and have the game see it as a power tower, thus making the trees "collidable"?
  15. Just curious, what objects other than buildings can you collide with in BS?
  16. T-72 BoF does it by just rendering the grass in the driver's field of view. It doesn't place a particularly heavy load on the CPU. I imagine BS and FC could do something similar by having grass appear only at a certain height and within a certain radius of the aircraft. That would be far better than pixelated ground textures.
  17. I wouldn't be opposed to some graphical upgrades, but as joey pointed out, those are hollywood gasoline and fireworks explosions. If the graphical design is going to draw inspiration from anything, I'd much prefer it draw on a game like T-72 Balkans on Fire for terrain, or ARMA II for the natural world. In fact, just two basic things would tremendously enhance immersion for me. Particle effects for the smoke from an explosion and rendered grass.

  19. That mangled airframe isn't enough slaughter for you? :smilewink:
  20. If you're in the market for something slightly smaller, this might work: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824185014
  21. Likewise. It looks like it flew through a convoy of Shilkas. :shocking:
  22. P.S. you should probably go ahead and format your hard disk and start with a fresh XP install on a clean drive. It may save you headaches down the road.
  23. Flame bait. :glare:
  24. Outstanding work. How do we order the map?
  25. There are no downloadable video files? Any plans to release the training videos as downloads? I'd rather not have to rely on youtube and an internet connection in order to watch the training videos. Thanks for the link by the way.
