Follow-up question, while I’m at it. Are launch warning alerts specific to your own craft, or does that also go off when a launch is against a separate aircraft?
-
This has been brought up before, I’m sure, but I’m having trouble finding it. currently, a SAM lock on an aircraft other than your own, seems to set off the RWR warning (example, an SA2 locking a friendly aircraft in close proximity to it) despite being outside detection range yourself. is this correct behavior? Occasionally, I experience the same, even from enemy aircraft (typically a mig-25, mig-31, or su-33), even while on the ground taxiing. is this considered correct as-is? FYI, I experience this in hornet, but have also experience it in F16, F15, and I’m assuming it’s the same for all RWR equipped airframes.

It has its uses. Depends on the situation. If you want a long range steady, strong lock on targets with no jamming ability, it works extremely well.

Beautiful, for a first release. Love it, probably just deleting my other maps

Yes, I bought it, downloaded it, installed it..but can't log in to anything except p-51 and Su25

fixed Updated DCS - "Authorization failed"
MarkyMark replied to LOW_Hitman's topic in Installation Problems
You bought it a while ago? How? I'm downloading it right now, the E-shop seems fixed. -
I usually fly on Through the Inferno, but the “4YA” servers are great too, not tried many others. Depends on level of difficulty desired

Just throwing this out there, but…. if you can start up, take off, hit some ground targets….hop in a multiplayer server. You’ll probably never go back to single player.

how do i hide the waypoint icon in the TPOD?
MarkyMark replied to jungleboy123's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Does it do the same thing if you WPDSG from the SA page, instead of from HSI? I tend to use that method instead, probably the same thing, just a habit for me…i don’t know if there’s a difference in the method that might change things. -
Hi, if you read the thread you’ll see it’s being investigated as a bug.

Not at my computer, did you try declutter ? I have been decluttering for a long time (almost immediately after it warms up) and I never seem to have a problem with wpt blocking my view. -
solved Can't see track file from replay browser
MarkyMark replied to MarkyMark's topic in General Bugs
That would be it, I only have 2 maps installed. Thank you -
I was trying to watch a track file I downloaded from here, but I can't see to get that working, any ideas what it could be and why it won't appear? I restarted the game already. Thank you in advance!

BRU-55 with 2x AGM-154A ignores TOO2 coordinates
MarkyMark replied to vilson.farias's topic in Bugs and Problems
I think this thread inadvertently solved a problem I’ve been having, where if I drop multiple JSOW or jdams, I sometimes get 2 hits on 1 target instead of getting proper spread out hits. Perhaps as the weapons are dropped and stepped to the next station it works fine, but the next target designate on the flir doesn’t update when it cycles back to station 1 (that is to say, the memory doesn’t update for some reason, even though I update and redesignate in flir when the release sequence cycles back to station 1 after 1-2-3-4. Not sure what I’m doing wrong when it cycles back to an already used station, but I think that’s it. -
yes Is it possible to designate straight from the JHMCS?
MarkyMark replied to CH4Pz's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
I find it difficult to get the sequence correct (I often lose the target completely somehow between helmet and tgp clicks and keystrokes) but with practice it should come naturally. Great option for when you’re lost in the tgp display and have no clue where you’re looking. -
Oldcrusty- name checks out btw I’m just telling you to diamond on the HUD can go way off with GPS nav on and distance far from where you initially started. If you’re starting in the air, we have no idea how the mission was set up. the diamond (and / or bomb fall line ) can get way out of alignment from the TPod designation point gps target

Yeah, the ground radar looks like a bowl of mashed potatoes to me. I can’t figure out what’s going on with it most of the time. Which is why I probably need practice.
-
This is one reason I exclusively fly the hornet. After a few years, I’m still learning new things. Hell, I can barely even effectively use the ground radar (so that’s another 30-40 hours of practice to get proficient). No time to learn anything else, the hornet is extremely deep and well done. Not to mention the best multi role aircraft (sorry falcon guys )

I feel like there might also be a time limit in between the double clicks to undesignate (can’t confirm this, but I think if you wait too long for the second click, it will reset the timer and you have to double click again) it’s a bit messy.
-
If I’m Not mistaken, TWS undesignate takes 2 depresses to to switch to the next since the last patch (please check the bug section for more info). I am also having some difficulty and have been smashing keys more often than normal to switch targets. edit.

I’m curious what ED uses for their trailer cinematics? Obviously it’s money well spent, just curious how powerful their hardware is.

Windows 11 runs fine for me. I hate the interface changes from 10, but DCS runs fine or better for me.
