  1. Many thanks WK. I have done that and it looks to have worked. Does that mean that the guy I gave it to can just download the module and use the serial number without having to do anything further? He has a DCS account.
  2. Hey Txmtb, Where abouts are the options to unbind a serial number from an account? Are they in game or on the DCS web site?
  3. Hi all, I'm having problems with binding rotaries to functions in the options/controls section of the UI for the P51. So far I have managed to assign the rudder trim, RPM setting, and flaps to two rotaries and the slider. However, I would like more functionality than this with the use of the pinkie switch. I have tried making the pinkie switch a new modifier and assigning other things to these rotaries (elevator and aileron trim) and the sight wingspan width to the slider with the use of the pinkie switch, but for some reason the pinkie switch modifier does not work. Is there a reason for this?
  4. Thanks Txmtb. I'll try those options and if there is a prob I'll get back to you :-)
  5. I just bought the F86 Sabre module for a second time by mistake, not realising I bought it when it first came out (not had too much time to fly lately!). I have offered the serial number to a squadron mate - is this going to be a problem?
  6. Wind your leatherneck in Mo :-) Hehehe
  7. Cheers K :-)
  8. They couldn't have put that mirror in a worse place for dogfighting!
  9. Cheers FS I'll fire up the flying machine :-)
  10. Cheers guys, I'm getting the hang of it now. Proper pre-briefing rather than in falcon BMS - jump in and off you go!
  11. How do you get to dogfight a phantom? I've not seen that bit.....
  12. Hi All, I've just flown all the tutorials on the MiG21 mod and love it. This sim is so awesome. I thought I'd pretty much cracked the Nav element until I tried the first mission of the MiG21 campaign. Now, I did all the navigation by having the airfield as my RSBN location (channel 13) and knew the rough bearing for stpt 1 and 2 but from then on in I was navigating by the map and finding the landmarks on the ground around each steer point. I did an alright job considering, but I felt completely blind. I only found out about the rCntl down marker thing on the knee pad afterwards. This map reading way of navigating isn't entirely optimal and certainly not accurate, especially if the sh*t hit the fan. I don't like the idea of the rCntl and down key as it seems a bit like cheating to me. Is there any real world advice that someone could give on how to nav properly using the systems in place? I suppose taking measurements in the briefing screen for each nav point from the originating AB would be one way, especially in a circuit type of flight that this particular mission was. BTW, I only got 50% success after the flight as I still need to work on my landings! :-) Thanks all in advance
  13. Oh dear mo. Looks like we've both got probs!
  14. Cheers guys. I've done the repair but not tested it out yet. I'll be back on if there are any probs.
  15. How do you do a repair?
  16. Well I got it working again by starting a different campaign and then leaving that and going back into the deployment campaign. Now, it crashes when I leave the game. # -------------- 20140902-025206 -------------- # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at FE8F897E 00:00000000 00000000 00000000 0000:00000000 FE8F897E 00DDF140 0000:00000000 ?uninitObject@woCar@@QEAAXXZ()+1E FE8EAAF8 00DDF190 0000:00000000 ??1woCar@@UEAA@XZ()+E8 FE8EB886 00DDF1C0 0000:00000000 ??1woCar@@UEAA@XZ()+E76 7F8C3D72 00DDF250 0000:00000000 7F8B65BB 00DDF310 0000:00000000 7F8B11DB 00DDF5D0 0000:00000000 FCE2D43A 00DDF600 0000:00000000 ?exitFromState_@FSM@Common@@AEAAXXZ()+4A FCE2D8C5 00DDF630 0000:00000000 ?onSymbol_@FSM@Common@@AEAAXI@Z()+175 7F8B400F 00DDF690 0000:00000000 7F8CAE44 00DDF6C0 0000:00000000 7F8CB06B 00DDF6F0 0000:00000000 7F96E4DB 00DDF760 0000:00000000 7F96ED36 00DDFD80 0000:00000000 7F971D90 00DDFDC0 0000:00000000 188016AD 00DDFDF0 0000:00000000 BaseThreadInitThunk()+D 1BF734A5 00DDFE40 0000:00000000 RtlUserThreadStart()+1D Is this bad?
  17. Someone did! Hows you Mo?
  18. I've been getting into a bit of blackshark again and am flying the deployment campaign. After flying about 10 or so missions the sim has stopped working. Everytime I try and load the next mission the sim spits back "DCS has stopped working" when the mission is loading. Crash file below: # -------------- 20140901-224058 -------------- # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 80FE897E 00:00000000 00000000 00000000 0000:00000000 80FE897E 0080EEA0 0000:00000000 ?uninitObject@woCar@@QEAAXXZ()+1E 80FDAAF8 0080EEF0 0000:00000000 ??1woCar@@UEAA@XZ()+E8 80FDB886 0080EF20 0000:00000000 ??1woCar@@UEAA@XZ()+E76 8B057EA2 0080EF70 0000:00000000 ECD7452A 0080F080 0000:00000000 ECD7601C 0080F3A0 0000:00000000 ECD71049 0080F660 0000:00000000 89EADE6A 0080F690 0000:00000000 ?sendOutputSymbol_@FSM@Common@@AEAAXI@Z()+2A 89EAD038 0080F6D0 0000:00000000 ?enterToState_@FSM@Common@@AEAAXI@Z()+C8 89EAD906 0080F700 0000:00000000 ?onSymbol_@FSM@Common@@AEAAXI@Z()+1B6 ECD7400F 0080F760 0000:00000000 ECD8AE44 0080F790 0000:00000000 ECD8B06B 0080F7C0 0000:00000000 ECE2E4DB 0080F830 0000:00000000 ECE2ED36 0080FE50 0000:00000000 ECE31D90 0080FE90 0000:00000000 9BC916AD 0080FEC0 0000:00000000 BaseThreadInitThunk()+D 9E5434A5 0080FF10 0000:00000000 RtlUserThreadStart()+1D Can someone have a look at this and let me know what I need to do. Many thanks.
  19. I got CA when it came out. Never even opened the game to have a look at it. Couldn't tell you any more about it than you get to drive and shoot from ground things. Get the damn jet!
  20. Thanks Konrad - I'll give it a go.
  21. Yes, but in this case, it goes the wrong way!
  22. Hey all, One thing I've been meaning to ask for ages is this..... My TIR profile is such that when I move my head left, the screen pans left and vice versa for right. All good so far and exactly as one would expect. Now, if I now have to check my six, when I want to lean over and see around the back of the seat, because of the way the device works, I need to lean right to go left and vice versa. I think everyone knows what I mean here. I can never get used to it and it's actually a really weird sensation and I never manage to do it right when it counts (like when a bandit is just about to shred me with 20mm. Has anyone ever managed to do a profile that reverses this problem - or is indeed it even possible? Cheers.
  23. It might have a range of 28 miles in perfect conditions on a head on shot with everyone flying head on with no jinking but that's not to say it has a PK value of any worth at that range.......
  24. I presonally think scaling has been an issue for some time. Low level flying never 'seems' to be the right feel - the instruments may read 100ft AGL - but it feels like about 3ft.
  25. In my sig. P8z77
