  1. Try 'RAlt + #' key combination (no apostrophies or the + key obviously). This worked for me. The \ key isn't mapped correctly, at least for me it wasn't. I use a UK keyboard but the key is still the same. Try it.
  2. In the TAD (when SOI), you can move your cursor anywhere on the map and create a markpoint. Absolutely anywhere. It will sit on your TAD as a square. All you need to do then is slew your cursor into that box and do a TMS up to put the cake in there, then you can slew your TGP (when SOI) to it by china hat fwd long. Simples. It's really the same for using any point and slewing another sensor to it.
  3. Incorrect. Just hit the ACK button on the MFD and the warning will go away. I've never not been able to lock targets after this warning, unless that's changed in 1.2.3
  4. That circle with a dot in it you mentioned is the aiming cue for a type of weapon delivery method called CCIP. This dot represents a spot on the ground that the computer will use to calculate when to drop your bombs to hit that point on the ground when you press the pickle button. CCIP = Continuous Computed Impact Point. It is used mainly with dumb bombs and is a way of dropping them onto a location that you have eyeballed. However, with smart bombs (GBU or JDAM) you will either use the tgp to get the aiming reference from or a known point ie a markpoint or steerpoint with definite co-ords. Hence it is better, and in most cases safer, to use CCRP (continuous computed release point) which is when you fly at altitude and the computer determines the correct release parameters for that particular solution so the bombs will come off and hit that point on the ground directed by another sensor such as the tgp/markpoint - whatever. So, with CCIP, you are usually nose down, fully committed to the attack run and probably in a very compromising position going hell for leather with your hair on fire whereas with CCRP, you are ambling along at 20,000 ft, smoking a pipe, sipping on the finest brandy and reading leather bound pornos while picking off targets at your discretion in the safe haven of altitude!! You can of course drop dumb bombs in CCRP from altitude, but because they are unguided they stand a higher probability of missing due to inaccuracies and wind etc.
  5. I just saw that!!! Hahahahaha. Those were the days!!!!
  6. OK, got to the bottom of it. The UK keyboard \ key is equivalent to the US # key. Therefore the RTALT + # combination makes the radios work.
  7. RtAlt + \ doesn't work here. Well, it does - once, but after pressing F12 to get out of the menu it no longer appears. It works on the ground OK, but in the air it's not working at all.
  8. SP missions in BS are pretty impossible without being able to access the comms menu. I am using the UK keyboard and the default \ key does not work. I've remapped the key which also does not work. If I'm lucky, I can access the comms menu once, but when I cancel it, it will never appear again. I know this is a known issue and am surprised this was not looked at in 1.2.3. It's a definite showstopper.
  9. Thanks ED - perfect. Updating now :-)
  10. Nice, I'll give these a shot :-)
  11. Same here. Works once, but after that iot's inop.
  12. What's EDGE all about?
  13. I'm going to make a Tee Shirt and a mug for this and sell it with all the other Keep Calm stuff - I'll go 50/50 with you Viper, seeing as you technically own the IP!!!
  14. Blimey. I voted for the wrong thing. Never mind........
  15. My VSync was off. I've checked the box and next time I fire it up, I'll report back.
  16. This happens on my GTX680. Is it a VSync issue then?
  17. I've been using it on my main PC and laptop since it was released. Absolutely love it. I almost always am in the desktop though. I can't see what the prob is with the ui. It's fairly customisable and it's just a fancy start menu. No problems! Btw, I got the upgrade when it was next to nothing in price and I did a full clean install. Imperative in my opinion. Plus it was on a brand new PC so it was a no brainer!!
  18. Excellent!! That last pass could have been something very different if it were in another part of the world and those guys had dishcloths on their heads. A hail of bullets I'd imagine!!
  19. I generally always use D's and have only ever missed a definite kill on a very small number of occasions. They usually do it for me!!
  20. NP mate :-) Nothing worse than skill fade. If it is just lack of practice then I'm sure you'll get it back in no time!
  21. Nah, that won't be it. Bahger has been around a while and will know what bombs he's dropping. I'm pretty sure of that! @ Bahger, have you changed or looked at the 5 mil/3-9 settings? Maybe they need looked at??? Clutching at straws here........
  22. Just need gold rims!!
  23. You can still walk about if you eject, parachute all the way down until you land. You can't climb out and walk about however, at least not that I know of
