Can anyone tell me if all missions are cold start? I will not play any missions that are not cold start. Also can options be changed in the mission editor? I like to set up the options in the mission editor to my comfort level. For instance I like the immortal option also I like symbols so I can easily detect enemy aircraft etc. I am still learning and getting shot down and having to start over again especially in the long missions is quite irritating. Hi. There seems to be a problem with one of the missions in the Crisis in Persian Gulf Hornet CVN Light version using Mbot Dynamic Campaign Engine. I am using DCS 2.7. It is the attack on Kasab air field. First iproblem there are no targets. No targets listed on the F-10 map none in the mission editor. And when you get to Kasab airfield there are no targets on on the ground as well. Now you can make out the buildings but when you bomb them no kills are recorded for me or wingmen and at the end the the final is that kasab was not hit and is 100% operational. And when you look at he results hits are recorded but no kills for me and my wingmen. Then on the flight back home something is not right as well. When I do my carrier inbound I get a final bearing of 261 and a radial of 88. I plot this into the computer and go into my pattern. When I commence my approach to the carrier I am given a final bearing of 101 which places me at the wrong end of the carrier where originally it was 261. I check the radial and the radial shows me I am on the correct side of the carrier. I thought it was a bug so I continued my approach. Sure enough I was on the wrong end of the carrier. I was approaching at the front end of the carrier. Now I have played this campaign in DCS 2.5 and have not experienced these problem. I have recently switched to 2.7. So these problems may have something to do with the version being played. So far only that mission had any problem's. I played 4 other missions and they where fine. Thought I would let you know.

I wonder if this is just a problem with a few planes. Maxseena says his work with the A10.

Ok so it isn't just me. Are you flying an F-18? Try binding a hotas button to next page. That works fine for me going from tab to tab. To bind the hotas button you have to do it in voice attack new command. It is in the VAICOM manual. But it gets you to all the tabs.

Hi. Yes I have tried the dictation. I can start the dictation but I can't end it. I say end dictate and it prints it rather than ends it. And everything I dictate is not printed the way I dictate it not even close. I Think something is screwed up in my settings. I did the microphone learning process twice. I haven't got a clue what is going on. I appreciate your help. Thank you.

Really so your transmissions are coming through. Then why are mine not coming through. What am I missing. I checked everything 3 or 4 times. I have uninstalled vaicom and reinstalled it and still the transmissions are not printing out. I have the pages mapped to my Hottas. that works fine. Everything works except the kneeboard. i will have to check everything again.

My DCS 2.7 was updated today. After the update I noticed my DCS will not shut down properly. I will hit exit in the main menu and it will hang on the closing picture and I will get a dialogue box stating "DCS has stopped responding and to click to close the program."

Ok let me know if you get ATC landing instructions to print in the kneeboard. For some reason mine won't print and it worked fine in 2.5. Also I just noticed with the latest update which was today DCS won't shut down properly. When I hit exit in the main menu it hangs on the closing pic but won't shut down. I installed DCS 2.7 with Voice attack and Vaicom. As far as I can tell everything seems to work except the ATC landing transmission and JTAC 9 lines printouts in the kneeboard. The kneeboard loads but when ATC instructions or JTAC 9 lines come in they do not print out into the kneeboard. Has anyone else had the same problem? I have checked and rechecked and everything seems to be set up properly. Is there something I am missing.

Ok thanks guys. I did that and it actually works now. I was using a saved profile and loading it and it was causing the conflicts. So I deleted the input file in the config folder for the F-14 and manually mapped the controls and it seems to work now.

Hi hope someone can help me. For some reason my Joystick Roll on the Tomcat does not work. In the Axis section beside the roll there is a red dot with an exclamation mark. Every time I try to map the roll to my joystick the red dot appears and I cannot turn my aircraft. The pitch is fine. Now I recently up graded my ram from 16 to 32. I did rename the saved games dcs folder but that did not work. I have uninstalled the f-14 and re-installed. also did not work. Now my joystick works fine with my other aircraft just not with the Tomcat. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.

I had installed 2.7 and had to take it off and go back to 2.5. First of all VR was jittery and unplayable. Now at the time that I tested 2.7 I only had 16gb of memory. I have since upgraded to 32 so maybe that problem has been solved. Another thing I noticed is, I had problems with voice attack and vaicom (especially the interactive kneeboard loading). I have read most of the topics and did not see anyone mention Vaicom or Voice Attack. Has anyone else have problem with these 2 add on to DCS 2.7 working properly?

The DCS log book and the page in DCS that gives the totals don't update. Mission counts flight time landings update but kills do not ground naval or air.. The Debriefing text is fine. Oh sorry I thought I was in the DCE thread.

Thanks for your reply. I think I solved the problem. Don't know how. When I did move the pages it did got to the kneeboard but not the interactive one. Anyways looks like it is working now, Thanks again.

Good afternoon Miguel and Cef good job on this campaign, I love it. Basically only one I play now. Only one thing the totals for the F-18 are not automatically tabulated. I have to go into the the log book and enter all the totals. I think it does tabulate the time number of missions landing etc. but does not keep records of kills. Those I have to manually enter. The F-16 it keeps a record of all kills but the f-18 and F-14 it does not. Cheers.

When I load interactive kneeboard I get display illustrating how to load batteries. Anyone know what the heck that is and why the interactive kneeboard won't load properly?

Can some one please tell me how to map the kneeboard next page to my viacom interactive kneeboard extension. When i map the kneeboard in settings it goes to the next page of the kneeboard not the next tab. Thank you.

Hi Miguel. It is DCS World 2.5 not opem beta. The mission is the 1st mission CAS destroy sam site 204 SA 10 Site B1 time on Target 05:01. Not sure what a tackview is? These departure times in order for the mission to complete properly you have to adhere to them strictly? Also when at the beginning of the mission you get a notification that your flight has been delayed does that mean the actual departure time now is invalid? if it is how do you know when to depart? Hi Cef I am doing the first mission in hornet over Caucaus. My flight leaves at 5:34. I wait to take off at 5:34. I fly assigned route. But no escort is to be seen. There should be SEAD flight but there is none. I run into fighter my entire squad gets shot down. when I reach the target I met by a flurry of Sams. I cannot even get in range to fire my missiles. So what am I missing? Thanks.
