Since the last up date I noticed a bug or 2 with the f-18. I am doing cage the bear campaign in the F-18. So I don't know if it is a problem with the campaign or a bug with the update but the auto function that automatically scrolls to the next way point is not functioning. You click on it in the DDI and the it will not box like it used to. So now you have to change way points manually. Also I have noticed that the CCIP targeting cue on the hud is off. It tends to point to the left and when you drop the bombs they are way off target. Anyone else run across these problems?

Hi again. I did first mission bat didn't work. I gave up. I installed DCS 2.5 reinstalled DCE and now everything works fine. I don't think this works in openbeta. At least it doesn't for me. Anyways thanks for all your help. I am just happy it is now working. Take care and be safe. Cheers.

Ok That is what I meant to ask you. I read that in the instructions and I am not sure what that means or how to do it. That is what I meant that the instructions where a little hard to understand. Do you just have to click on the first mission bat or is there something else you have to do to it. Please excuse me I am a newbie and just learning all this stuuf. I thank you for your patience.

No I did end every line with \ in the actual path bat and the save game line in the path bat was correct as well. It was just a misprint in the copy. Yeah I did the config in the missionscript.lua as well. It is a great campaign if I can get it only to work. I have tried everything. I have actually stopped it from freezing although still freezes on occasion but the script error message still pops up. Not sure if everything tallies correctly. The tally sheet at the end of the mission and the dos window do not pop up like they do in the F-16 missions.I will have to play a mission or 2 and see if it will tally everything correctly. Thank you for your reply. I had done exactly what you have stated. My main DCS is in C:/ program Files/Eagle Dynamics/DCS World OpenBeta. In the Path Bat I had changed it to that path. And when I changed it in the F-16 to the actual path it worked as well. That is why I am so baffled. I will try changing it again and see what happens. Below is my path bat. Can you see anyting wrong. On the original path bat I have the \ after each line. For some reason in the path. below \ does not show up. Sorry I said F. I have 2 computers. On one the path bat is F and on the other it is E. And the F-16 works fine on both. One thing to mention the path in the path.bat was there by default. I changed nothing for the F-16. I even took the F-16 path bat and copied it to the F-18 and F-14 and still I got the same error message.

Then I get Script error message. DCS freezes and I have to Cntl Alt Del in order to get out. I have checked and rechecked the path.bat and l made changes to the paths to coincide with my system. I looked in the f-16 path bat to compare because the f-16 works correctly but the paths in the path.bat for the F-16 don't make sense. They seem to point to an f drive which I do not even have on my system. The directory is DCS but I have DCS OpenBeta yet the F-16 works like it is supposed to. I am totally baffled and frustrated. The instructions they give you might as well be written in chinese. You basically have to be a programmer to understand them. I am a newbie can't we have instructions that are written for us so we can understand them. I am on the verge of giving up on these DCE campaigns. I have spent more time trying to fix them than I have flying my planes. There has to be a simpler way. For single missions it's not that bad. But the campaigns it is a bit cumbersome. You have to go through every mission there could be 6-9 missions and make changes for each mission. And then you have the campaign which lock the missions so you can't make any changes. Now you have to save the mission to an external file exit DCS go to the external folder cut or copy the saved file go to your DCS campaign folder and over write the original mission. You have 9 missions in the campaign that is very time consuming. It doesn't take anything extra for them to make cold start standard and then let the user decide what he prefers.

I cannot understand why the majority of campaigns and missions are with plane already started. It is a pain in the but going into the mission editor and changing every mission to a Cold Start. Please have cold start as the default. If someone prefers to have the plane already started they can use the quick start function to start the plane. A lot of us like to start the plane from scratch. In the 4th mission in Operation Saber Thrust where you have to destroy the convoy the JTAC only gives me one target. How do I get him to Lase the other targets or am I supposed to use the targeting pod? On many occasions JTAC will lase a target, and after I have fired the missile he will go "abort abort abort you don't have permission" and the missile will miss the target. Can anyone tell me why that happens and how to correct it. Thanks.

Anyone playing Operation Saber Thrust. I am having an issue where I contact JTAC and everything is fine. He turns on the laser I have a lock I fire the missile and then JTAC comes back on "abort abort abort you do not have permission". Anyone else have this pronlem? Am I doing something wrong? How do I get around this. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi A couple of questions and issues I have. In the mission where I am destroying the convoy the jtac only gives me one target. How do I get him to Lase the other targets or am I supposed to use the targeting pod. Also sometimes he will give me a target and after I have fired the missile he will go abort abort abort and my missile will miss the target. Why does that happen. I have given up on the laser mavs and used the 65F instead. I totally destroyed the convoy but the mission comes back as failed. Now I have made an adjustment in the mission editor for cold start. I will only play missions and campaigns that have a cold start. I like to start the plane from scratch. Hopefully that is not causing the issue because I really like this campaign and would like to keep playing it but only if cold start can be used. Thanks.

Ok sorry newbie. For night vision you need to have a module installed? If so can you suggest one. Preferably one that is not so complicated to install. Some of these mods you need to be a programmer to install them. Thanks.

Hi I have been tryin to get someone to explain installing additional campaigns in DCE. I have installed the an F-18 DCE campaign but how do I add tomcat F-16 campaigns without overwriting the 18 files. No one has bothered to explain that for us newbies. Can you explain how to do that. thanks.

Hi. I have installed the main DCE campaign for the Hornet. How do I add additional Dce Campaigns for let say tomcat viper and hornet without over writing the already installed files. All of the folder have the same name. Please I am a newbie. In plain words that I can understand. Thank you.

Every time I exit a DCE campaign DCS crashes. Anyone have any idea why this maybe happening.
