After just getting trackir 5 in place of 3 I was we'll excited...for smooth looking round my black shark.... But no... Not really.... The 3 always seemed too sensitive and I never used it. The 5 software seems really trick compared to the old one but I'm obviously not setting it up properly. I'm using the trackclip on a hat is there better tracking with the pro clip? Although 25 quid for addon now seems we'll expensive! Any tips for setting it up? Oh and had to turn christmas tree lights off as it picked them up across the room even after adjusting - wifey we'll happy! ( Have checked its not picking up anything else)

Yeah the cougar is a differnt beast with the hall sensors. I think the new sticks gonna be the one to beat ;)

is the screen meant to be cut off? I see black shark head on..... 2 black borders above and below ....... but the shark is cut off at the top and bottom.... is this correct ? just wondering - game works fine... just the loading screen seems odd!

im trying to think the last time this happended to me because even with above tips it still gave an error after I reinstalled..... so we know it works but I couldnt remember the last time the steps....I ended up system restore and installing driver again and it worked so something I did install must have caused the error as well.... Antivirus in the way? (I use kaspersky) try disabling it.... and restart windows after installing driver...

had a X52 .... was too soft.... CH stuff was bang on -- but felt too plasticy.... plus the throttle didnt seem to fit my hand.##Could definately fly better with Ch than the Saitek (although it was worth the money..) picked up a cougar for cheap money - spent money on sensor mods and gonna throw in some more money for new gimbals because I like it that much! picked up some Ch pro pedals.... and to be honest im not keen on them..... I actually preferred the G25 pedal pressure etc! so may not keep these. ....... but all 3 are good..... Cougar - if you happen to get a good one - has most potential...... CH stuff..... if you want a better out the box option but more expensive than Saitek X52 - good - funky styling ? Best bang for buck... or pound in the uk :) oh and didnt Frazer use a Saitek ?? nothing wrong with his flying!

Hope this is allowed - thought Id ask here if anybody whos not sure about a trackir - maybe this Version 3 at a cheap price may interest you. Reason for sale : just ordered a trackir 5 so : Version 3 + Vector Expansion (6dof) Code + Track Clip. Was thinking £35 delivered in the UK?

in the search and programs text bar (on the windows start button) type UAC 'change user account settings' mine is set to dont notify.... it sometimes blocks certain drivers/programs running or generally tries to protect you from everything! as for the driver ... right click and run as administrator.... or try windows vista comp mode. one of those ended up working for me. hope this helps.

Got them working.

Mine did this earlier... Control and enter in the cockpit see if the inputs correspond to your rudder inputs. My pedals are mapped to z axis - same as cougar but work independant... Weird.

lol and that helps with my pedals..... mod = BAN!

how do I set these up in Shark guys? in ch manager they are set to DX mode. I go into shark - select axis and clear the former g25... click add... push the pedals... and it maps to joy y ... same as cougar stick. how do I get round this please?

thing is - most people have spent £££$$$$ on there cougar to get the right result.... so if the new A10 Hotas is decent im sure it will be still the cheaper option.... wish they would have made new handles for Cougars... back in the day thought that was what was planned.

thanks Lange... (im just moving the stick) I see what you mean.... move slight to the right ... then forward in the joystick analyser and its hard to 'draw` a straight line forwad as it were..... I guess another £229 on a stick wont kill me gulp! He has his own CNC milling machine now so apparently its cheaper than it used to be (!) Anyways he has none left at the moment and just waiting for a couple more orders then I`ll go for it. thanks again - mind made up :)
