Updated A-10C Training Missions for DCS World v.1.2.2
soupyc replied to EvilBivol-1's topic in Mission and Campaigns
Hey what happened to these? I'm getting 'page not found' when I click the link. -
Dear god, why make buying FC3 so difficult ?!
soupyc replied to Maximus_Lazarus's topic in Payment and Activation
This is a common issue for me with the website as well, login, click another link and I'm logged out all of the sudden. Switching browsers has NOT corrected it for me, but it hasn't been an issue yet, since I haven't bought anything since the BS2 upgrade. Going to be buying FC3 tomorrow, if I have issues I'll update the thread. -

I would also be very interested in your tutorial Headspace. -
Yeah what was that idiot doing in the middle of a runway?

Followed!

This came up on my sub list on YouTube... good stuff Ralfi, can't wait to see the rest!

Xsplit will also do recording to files, and doesn't twerk your framerate like FRAPS. Also makes it super easy to stream. http://www.xsplit.com/

Thanks guys! I'll scope that site out Mike, looks like they have Furniture Grade PVC as well. Not sure how critical that is, but it's worth taking a look!

Decided to go with PVC for my pit, after viewing a few threads around here, and looking at the available space I have. What I really want to do is a dashboard type setup, kinda like this: Decided against the side panels for space reasons. May do some switches and stuff down the road. In any case, anyone who has worked with PVC...how do you know how much you need, and what elbow joints to get? I have downloaded SketchUp and am beginning to learn that, so I'm hoping that will help me figure out how much material I need.

[REL] Tactical Planning for newbies ver1.0
soupyc replied to WildBillKelsoe's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Looks good! Question: Is that true? I was under the impression that the missions were pre-generated and randomly chosen between 3 choices per mission. I can load individual .MIZ files for them... Just curious! Thanks for your work! I like it! -
Ralfi, I just discovered your channel! Good stuff... That laugh! I was RTB with a friend of mine when we were learning weapon systems and stuff, and one of my Mavericks locked him up...I didn't really think it would fire, or if it did, it wouldn't track. It did. Many laughs were had that day.

I was gonna say, its gotta be something like 'Air Force Sans' right? :D

SOLD, thanks!

Moving to a Warthog, looking to sell this bad boy. Has maybe 20 hours on it, a few scratches on the bottom from my mounts, but otherwise in perfect condition. Comes in original box with packing material and the suction cups and connector cable. I'll cover shipping if its in the US or Canada, but will ship elsewhere if you want to pick up the cost. Drop me a PM! PayPal, please.

Awesome pit! Similar to what I'm after, just have to work on the outside view issues I've been having. I find with HUD only view, I lose too many canopy references I'm used to using.

Depending on how much of the area they model, you could theoretically model missions after Middle East/Afghan operations. I attended a Land Surveyor event in 2004 that described the similarities between northern Nevada and Afghanistan, which were remarkable. However, this will likely be Southern Nevada only, which would be ideal for desert ops. I think something like 95% of Nevada is BLM/Government owned, so either way you'll have a lot to work with. :D

Not everyone is so willing to jump in headfirst to a 'game' (outsider view) that requires the same amount of time for training as you'd spend in most triple-A titles to complete the game. I had to convince a good friend of mine to pick up A-10 by way of videos and just talking it up. He's now way into it, we fly regularly, but if I hadn't expended the effort, I'd have one less good buddy to fly the virtual skies with!

That is some super clean skinning mate! Nicely done!

I don't know the ins and outs, but couldnt this just be FMs for AI?
-
Well considering my other issues, and a complete lack of resolution, maybe I will give this a go, and stick my foot in my mouth. :D I'll report back my findings.

Computer already struggling with resources, the solution is not to add something that consumes more resources. I'd wait out the upgrade personally.

to hell with this - Aireal combat is outrageous
soupyc replied to ShuRugal's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Zoom may help you acquire a target that is beyond the capabilities of your monitor to display...remember, a monitors resolution is far less 'dense' pixel wise than real life 'resolution' so you cant see things from as far away in the sim. This can be an issue in A-10 as well, when you're trying to line up a gun run, and at 2nm out the tank you want is the size of a pixel. Zoom is your friend! -
Came in low on fuel, throttle went nuts, up and own
soupyc replied to Ramstein's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I've also had similar issues, primarily with stick deflection. I seem to have nailed it down though to my shifted trim button sticking and the arrow part of the command still going through to DCS, and causing the stick to deflect. I've since removed all keyboard commands for axis commands, and it seems to have resolved the issue. -

Is this only for BS2?
