  1. After the last update does the Apache still have the well known trim and level flight issues? I’m still seeing and hearing that the Apache constantly yaws right despite trim and is very hard to get nose-tail trim or aero trim so she flies straight. My own experience is that it’s almost impossible to get the Apache flying straight without A crabbing or B yawing right and unable to stop that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I agree it’s all subjective really and hardware dependent. Like I said previously my experience of upscaling is the opposite on both cards and the same with MSAA or non-upscaling. I use Reshade as well. Adding a little sharpening and contrast definitely helps with upscaling but it doesn’t quite bring back the sharpness of the characters on mfds etc. Anyways thanks all for your inputs.   4. Hi all, Recently swapped to an AMD card from an Nvidia and straight out the box I’m finding the non upscaled MSAA x4 horrendous compared to the same on nvidia. Not sure why but AMDs implementation is terrible in comparison. On the flip side though the upscaled FSR image is SIGNIFICANTLY better than any of the DLSS upscaling I could ever get to work. I don’t get any ghosting except some F3 flyby views and on some nav lighting and some of the mfd text can be soft, sometimes. So it’s a 180 opposite for me with the new AMD card versus the nvidia. I will just say the FSR image is awesome and buttery smooth. Probably best looking I’ve played with yet on DCS. It’s seriously that much better than on my nvidia. Almost perfect. But….. I don’t want to upscale really as I have a system that can play my 1440p natively and on the nvidia I actually played in DLAA only with no upscaling and every other setting turned on/max/ultra. I notice there is no “DLAA equivalent” option on AMD. Am I missing something or is there an FSR combo that is directly equivalent to DLAA on nvidia? If not then I won’t complain as like I said above the FSR upscaling for me is almost ‘perfect’. Thanks in advance guys.   5. Maybe I can provide a little fresh context on this as I have upgraded from nvidia to amd in the last 48 hrs. I have gone from a 3070Ti to a 7800XT. On the nvidia card I only ever used DLAA (no upscaling obvs) - the blurring on any form of DLSS upscaling was horrendous regardless of the settings. Ghosting on external views. Dials all blurred when spinning etc. MSAA was OK but always looked too ‘shiny’ and sharp. Like overly sharp. All the panel lines would shimmer also. Swap to my AMD and it’s the complete 180 opposite. MSAA is AWFUL. Flickering everywhere - specifically on shadows (light coming through trees, shadows cast by bushes, buildings and objects) it was literally like a strobe effect. Horrendous. Also all the panel gaps, texture lines and edges on cockpit details like frames, edges of dials and mfds almost flickered and shone like white lines. I thought I would try FSR and went for upscaling 0.9 and sharpening 0.9 and it is SUPERIOR to nvidia upscaling and made DCS look really good. Slightly softer on the graphics and some of the numbers on mfds and the fonts are not quite as sharp as non-upscaling but much better overall. No more strobing or flickering of shadows. No overly ‘crunchy’ image and I have yet to see any ghosting on dials and spinning numbers in the cockpit and the only ghosting is F3 flybys and leading edges and sometimes the collision/nav lights. Anyways I hope that gives a little perspective - not sure if MSAA is currently bugged or if I can further enhance my FSR experience. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi all, As per the subject Ive just moved to an AMD card - I have got the screen recording to work but unlike the nvidia screen record icon that comes up in the bottom right corner (green icon) the AMD one stays on the recording? How do i get it to not bake into the screen recording? I want to see that Im still recording but dont want the timer on my videos? Cheers all.
  7. Same - I've posted this also. Grey Flag and Buddyspike are the most affected for me. Every time you try and slot you get a spinning load symbol and then CTD.
  8. When trying to join multiple different servers with dynamic slots the game hangs and freezes and often CTD. Repaired. No mods.
  9. I had the same red exclamation mark as everyone else and I couldn’t even reload my saved input files or my backed up version after last weeks update. Even after restarting and loading the input file it kept red exclamation marks everywhere so I had to rebind them all. but the issue that persists is none of my hotas, keyboards or steam decks are seen or picked up in DCS axis and controls but yet they work. normally when you flick a switch on a hotas in controls it jumps to that command - mine and many of my colleagues in our group it does not and weird ghost inputs happen on all modules.
  10. Hi all - Our helicopter-centric milsim group is looking for a few dedicated operators to join our ranks! We are a newly created group built from seasoned DCS players who have created a new helicopter and combined arms only group. We are looking to initially increase the ranks before full on recruitment after the summer with the specific aim of finding a few key players that are very experienced in the Kiowa/Apache/Gazelle/Huey etc and have squadron and flight lead experience. Because this is a limited recruitment drive I’m looking for some pilots who have a genuine interest in training structure and milsim procedures and who also would like to help run the community. We need a few, mature players to help kick start off the group and to play a key part in its future and are experienced enough to be part of the recruitment and instructor team. We are UK/Euro based and train and fly missions in the evenings. Please DM if interested!
  11. Hi all, I am still seeing the same two ground AI issues from a few years now although it has sporadically worked in that time frame. Bug 1 (making ground units loop their route): When setting AI in advanced WP 'GO TO WAYPOINT' the units take a straight line for each waypoint and do not follow the road even though each WP and starting WP is set to on road. Doesn't matter the unit type or coalition etc. There the fix is to ensure the last WP is back at the beginning of the units path to make the distance from last to first WP as short as possible. Bug 2 ()ground units stopping after returning to WP0: In connection with the above - when you set the last WP in advanced WP 'GO TO WAYPOINT' to WP:0 it gets to its original route starting position and just stops.

Hi all, Im looking for some recommendations from the community for high quality, decent and most importantly sturdy desk mounts for my Warthog hotas. im flying helos and have a 10cm extension so i need to be able to mount the cyclic quite far back so i have plenty of room for deflection at the top. thanks all.
  18. Hi all, I made some AH-64 liveries with our squadron logo on in PS. Exported to DDS5 straight out of PS in Mac OS and then into DCS. I can see th deliveries no problems but when I load them in the game or have them loaded from mission editor for a about a two second time frame the panels that have been edited are not loaded on the aircraft. Then as the textures load the 3d model gets completed? Has anyone come across this?

  20. Good thinking but I tried this and other permutations but it still doesn’t work. Ooooooooo…..does this solve the problem? Does it work over long distances between WPs as well, say 10k +? Thanks so much for sharing I’ll give that a blast tonight and report back! crumble
  21. This has been an ongoing ‘feature’ of ground units for many years now and I’m not sure if it’s intended or just an overlooked bug. Scenario: Mission editor making a miz that has an AI ground convoy HOLD at a certain waypoint until a helo/aircraft destroys some enemies up the road. Once the enemy GROUP IS DEAD trigger is activated I want the convoy to move to the next Waypoint along the road. AI set to ON ROAD. Issue: Triggers works fine and the convoy sets off but it does not stay on the road. It makes a direct compass bee line for the next waypoint you set it move to in Advanced section and it goes cross country. This isn’t helpful as it’s a. Slower, b. Not what I asked and c. They often get stuck in woods/buildings etc. How do you make them stay on the road?
  22. We have just added a Combined Arms battalion to our squadron and plan on using it full time in our missions and campaigns. The module needs a little love but it’s great fun!
  23. Tonight whilst flying multi-crew we had a situation where the pilot edited a radio channel and manually inputted a new one. For me in the CP/G seat all I saw was a blank radio channel from when the pilot deleted it. However he had successfully, deleted, added a new channel in and the radio channel worked. Just the CPG couldn’t see it.
  24. Hi all, Not sure if it’s a bug but the cockpit view bindings haven’t come across from other modules. Usually I set the numpad keys up to move the head around etc and those controls stay mapped regardless of module. In the Kiowa I had to reset them all to what I use. Also there is no way to save the head position once you’ve set it up. When you jump in a new Kiowa on MP the position hasn’t been saved via the usual RATL+0.
