  1. Just experienced this crash too dcs.log
  2. Ive had this same crap. In addition if I hop into the CPG seat select HMD and then a ghost switches it to TADS
  3. Exactly. If I'm flying with my virtual squadron and I'm able to help guide them on to target by lasing, giving directions, or passing coords during a 2 or 3 hour mission and I returned to base without ever even having went master arm on I assure you I had loads of fun in the process and no other sim can give that to me or come close. If I come home from work and only have 30mins to play I'll load an airstart Pache mission and go to town. @gotit My friend you need a complete HOTAS system even if it doesn't replicate a specific AC to enjoy the complexity. 99% of your inputs will be done on it. I understand it can be expensive but when you get to that point where its muscle memory and you don't have to consciously think of the input you need and your mind is focused on mission strategy you'll be sucked in. Even just adding a TWCS could improve your quality of life. I recently got a new Virpil system which I'm 100% happy with and am having to relearn a decade of muscle memory which can be painful at times. For example I've never had to use a DMS hat in my right hand and I'm keying the MIC when I mean to use the Coolie but thats gonna take some practice to overcome.
  4. I think you have to go to Flt > Set > Radar Altimeter
  5. I havent verified but i hope its gone. I can live with a busted FLIR for a bit but that shake was insane.
  6. Lol. A fellow F1 fan I see. Those 2022 cars are bouncybois
  7. There are all sorts of charts in the -10 giving you this info based on weight, altitude, FAT, and DA.
  8. I really hope this is resolved in tomorrow's patch. Its killed the playability for me.
  9. Hi fellow pilots. We, the 175th MAG, are looking to recruit some A-10C II pilots. We are a growing squadron with some really experienced guys in the cockpit. Our currents members range from people with former US Military experience to your average Joe. Normal operations are held at 1900 CDT. We enjoy the mil-sim in DCS by following close to real life procedures which we learn about from the experienced guys. However, while doing so we make sure to enjoy ourselves rather than letting the mil-sim taint our experiences. We hold scheduled training sorties multiple times a week including joint operations with pilots of other airframes from within the 175th MAG (F/A-18C and growing to F-16C and then AH-64D). We are currently deployed to Syria for Operation Zero Tolerance which is a Dynamic Liberation Campaign. If you have never experienced DCS multiplayer then I highly recommend joining as many of our members can attest that playing DCS with other real-life players is game-changing. If any of this piques your interest or you have any questions about the 175th and the A-10 Squadron 36th FS Cougars then feel free to reply to this message or hit me up with a DM and I’ll be happy to have a chat. 10. Just got confirmation of my Virpil shipping. Ill have a new HOTAS next week and a new App uh Shay. So cool.
  11. I havent watched it yet but could he have been referring to the KW? Or is this an in-house bird? Ya BS3 has been under development for a long while And they mentioned maybe the Ah1w iirc????
  12. Ahh ok this is where I'm getting confused. @kgillers3 I actually watched that awhile back and this is what confused me (im easily confused). Phase lag is not synonymous with Gyro Precession. I did some more research and found varying phase lags for different models of helicopters. While Gyro Precession is always 90 degrees it is not the only factor in determining phase lag. There's countless other factors that affect it even including the lead and lag of the blades themselves. This was a lot of fun to learn about. Im solid on GP but phase lag is highly variable and not one size fits all. I also learned that not all swashplates account for phase lag. Some do and others have the pitch horns built in for phase lag (assuming these dudes on AOPA know what they're talking about). I'm gonna throw in the towel on determining the correct pitch angle for any modelled helo in DCS since I do not have enough manufacturer data to show which direction the swash actually tilts based on cyclic input. I know it exists and I know the helos are designed for it. Case closed. And I just now realized I hijacked my own thread..... Edit: I appreciate all the help and knowledge from you guys.
