  1. I read it, but my post also included NVG issues.
  2. I reported this last week. No response from ED on it. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=204794
  3. One other thing; when you turn on the laser in NVG mode, the laser dot is so large it completely covers your target, even if you're at max zoom. It's big enough to cover the crosshair in the middle of the binocs.
  4. The JTAC's IR mode shows every single tree as a "hot" object. Makes it pretty much impossible to pick out vehicles that show up cooler then the trees. The NVG mode has extreme lens flare when looking at city lights, and the IR pointer is black instead of bright. Also, the zoom needs to be increased. In some vehicles (like the SA-19), the default turret optics can see/zoom further then the JTAC binocs. JTAC needs some work.
  5. Dxdiag, log and crash files attached. Before update 4, it didn't crash on exit. DCS Update 4 with hotfix crash logs.zip
  6. No it hasn't, despite what was written in the last newsletter.
  7. No I don't. I'm calmly asking, without using giant capital letters, why they wrote something in their newsletter that isn't even mentioned in the patch notes. It's pretty simple actually.
  8. Well I can't afford an SSD, so my normal HD and 16GB of ram are getting really bad stutters, along with trying to load an MP server for 5 min only to get dumped back to the server selection screen. This latest patch is pretty bad.
  9. 2.5 being a beta has nothing to do with the purpose of this thread. The question originally asked was why ED wrote this in their newsletter... ...when the patch notes, viewed at https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3423375&postcount=5 , do not even mention the words memory, leak, or performance. I installed update 4 yesterday, along with the hotfix, and I still see the memory leak, and I still get massive stuttering in both the Georgia and Nevada maps. So I would say no, they haven't addressed these issues at all with update 4. Largely or otherwise. Which I'm fine with. I understand it's a beta. But why write that in your newsletter when it isn't true? That's what's being asked here.
  10. Works fine, but you have to lower the canopy. Most of the bulbs are on the canopy rail.
  11. Any MP server I try to join in 2.5 just sits there until I force quit.
  12. I watched the video you linked, and the problem is I'm contacting Batumi and asking for an azimuth instead of reporting inbound. What isn't really clear is the instructor says "get an approach vector" and doesn't mention anything about calling inbound, so that's where I got confused. Thanks for helping to clear that up guys. Maybe the mission designer can fix the wording to make it clear you have to call inbound and not azimuth otherwise you waste up to 30 minutes flying around and waiting for radio calls that never happen.
  13. I'm stuck on the traffic pattern practice mission. I follow all the instructions and everything is fine until the instructor asks me to leave the pattern. He says to contact the tower and advise them of the "cancelled inbound"...except I was never inbound and never used the "inbound" call since the mission started. I only called them for an azimuth as the instructor requested. I ignored it, and continued up to 6,000 ft, and then the instructor says rejoin the formation and call the tower for an azimuth, which I do, and I rejoin the pattern...and then nothing. I flew the pattern 5 times before I realized the instructor wasn't going to talk to me anymore. I've restarted this mission 3 times all with the same result. After he asks to leave and rejoin the pattern, he stops talking to me. Suggestions?
  14. Yeah, read the manual. It's been explained thoroughly here already. If you're still not getting it the manual might clear things up.
  15. Why do people keep thinking these are actual rounds? It's training mode. It's just a simulated number in the DSMS.
  16. Too bad....I enjoy using training mode to simulate gun runs. Resetting the rounds in flight would be super useful.
  17. This doesn't work either. Can anyone else confirm that none of these options work?
  18. Doesn't work. Are you familiar with the training mode of Master Arm? In training mode, your ammo counter for the gun appears blue, showing 1150 CM in the DSMS MFD page. If I arm the gun, I can "fire" the cannon in practice with a 'W' appearing in the HUD and the ammo counter goes down as the imaginary rounds are expended. Once it reaches 0, I can't reset it. Taking Master Arm out of training mode shows 1150 real rounds, but when I go back to Train it shows 0 because I simulated using them all. I have tried the following to reset it with no results: - cycling the CICU switch - putting IFFCC in Test mode, and choosing Weapons > 30mm CM > RNDS RESET in the HUD - pressing LOAD ALL in the DTS UPLOAD MFD screen None of these reset the ammo counter in TRAIN mode. How do I do this?
  19. Doesn't work, and I doubt turning off your MFDs in flight is a recommended standard procedure.
  20. How do I reset the ammo counter back from zero while in training mode for the 30mm? Once it reaches 0, I can't find any way to get it back to full capacity. I already tried going through IFFCC in test mode > weapons > and resetting the ammo counter but it doesn't change it in training mode. Looked through the manual...no joy. Help?
  21. Thanks! That fixed it.
  22. Can anyone help out?
  23. How did you get this working in 1.5? I installed all the subdirectories and I still have the default textures but with less trees. Where are the install instructions? Thanks.
  24. Item still for sale
