  1. Can someone from Heatblur acknowledge this issue?
  2. Can you point me to where in the manual it talks about updating the INS with the various methods you're describing?
  3. Couple of dudes screaming into the microphone and making their TrackIR go crazy? What am I missing?
  4. Really? Matt Wagner says otherwise. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3859226&postcount=149
  5. To add on, I understand this is an early access product that we paid for, but some basic info posted on your official forums isn't too much to ask, Heatblur.
  6. Was really looking forward to getting the thrust issues fixed, or at the very least some of the smaller items like the COURSE knob not working out of TACAN CMD mode. So we have to wait another 2 weeks for any changes at all?
  7. I don't own the Viggen, and never wanted it. I wanted the Tomcat, and now I have it. I'm extremely happy with my purchase, and what I got for my money. You have fun boycotting modules over there. I'm going to enjoy what I like.

  9. Here's an example in the RIO pit: I can't tell where the CHAN SEL or MODE knobs (circled in green) for the ARC-182 radio are actually pointing. The CHAN SEL knob has some oddly ordered channels that you have to cycle through to get to the ones you need to use. For example, CHAN SEL (going clockwise) goes from OFF -> 243 (guard mode) -> manual -> another guard mode -> preset -> read -> load That's 7 positions and there is no white line or any marking on the knob showing what function I'm pointing at. Likewise for the MODE knob. It has 5 different positions, but the knob doesn't tell you where it actually is. This is very frustrating. It's very different from the TACAN mode knob (circled in blue), that clearly shows you what its pointing at. I really do appreciate the level of detail that Heatblur tried to achieve when recreating the cockpit, but some basic functionality, i.e. knowing what positions your knobs and switches are in, is more important to me then how realistic the pit looks. The AWG-9/AIM-54 cooling switch is another example. There is absolutely no marking on that one at all. If Heatblur could make a stencil pass and enhance some of the markings, that would be really awesome. Thanks!
  10. You do not put coordinates directly into the LANTIRN system. What you can do is slave the LANTIRN to look at waypoints setup as shagrat described.
  11. I ran the Persian Gulf Reactor Strike mission, and tried to minimize how much fuel I and my wingman would use to get to the target. Despite a quick climb above 30,000, cutting the throttle, and even ordering my wingman to jettison all bombs, he still ejected because his plane ran out of fuel on the way back while my plane still had at least 6,000 lbs left. A 6,000 lb difference when my wingman was never more then 5 miles from me up until he punched out is huge. Why are AI so inefficient with the throttle? It really detracts from the mission when I have to fly the last 1/3 or 1/4 of the way back alone without help. Anything you can do, Heatblur?
  12. He will release chaff based on the threat. I don't know the parameters, but I've seen him do it.
  13. It was fine when they released it. But they swung the nerf bat too hard and neutered the cat. It needs its balls back.
  14. It primarily gives you ILS/ACLS info on multiple displays. It's covered in the manual. Page 82.
  15. Everything on the real HCU and the LANTIRN stick should be mapped to a HOTAS. You're going to be hurting a bit with only 6 extra buttons.
  16. The future.
  17. Yes, it is a switch. The cover does stuff, and the switch jettisons. There is no button under the cover.
  18. Did you fly Tomcats for the Navy?
  19. Flipping up the cover sets the missile prep to on, the sidewinder cooling active, the gun rate to high, and it also enables the phoenix missiles to be mad dogged. If you flip the switch, it jettisons whatever the RIO has setup to be jettisoned for ACM. The point is you can do 5 separate things with two flicks of the finger without having to search around the cockpit.
  20. How do you expect them to make their money and pay bills?
  21. This is the unused footage from Executive Decision.
  22. I have no problem with that, but right now he doesn't have the ability, so it shouldn't be locked out yet, which is what the other poster was suggesting should happen. If there was a real person in my RIO seat I would agree with you. Jester is just an interface to the code, and me pushing a button versus me choosing a radial command (one that doesn't exist for changing the range on the TID) is exactly the same thing.
  23. I'll have to experiment with that. Must be helpful if you can't pickup the target with your own radar and need a visual vector besides a bogey dope. Not sure how this is different from setting a custom course/heading in TACAN mode. Manual sounds like the same minus the TACAN bearing carrot. So basically ILS is just a backup system and used for cross checking?
  24. You can use it in multiplayer, and I do. Why should it be locked out? If I want to change the range display from 100 miles to 400 miles, I can just push a button, which is no different then me telling a real RIO to just change the knob. Adding RIO commands also lets you control the LANTIRN from the front seat, which Jester is unable to do. Should that be locked out too for users who prefer to fly solo with Jester?
