I have a question regarding the VirPil WarBRD base. My TM Cougar gimbal just snapped in half. From a previous post I discovered the VirPil flight systems. Then I saw the WarBRD base replacement that says I can take my TM Cougar handle form its original base to the WarBRD base. But this being $185 U.S. I'm wondering which is better. For an additional $200 I can buy the entire TM Warthog setup. But I would still suffer the same TM issues that everybody else does. I really like my TM Cougar controls with the throttle system. And I already have the TM Elite Rudder pedals that still work perfectly.These things are solid. You could drop it from a building and it wouldn't hurt it. Can I put my Cougar stick on the VirPil WarBRD base and have a more reliable system than the TM Warthog? Also my throttle and elite rudder pedals both have to hook into the back of the original Cougar joystick base. What happens with them?

Take it from somebody who knows. Thrustmaster does not support the Cougar system anymore in any way, shape, or form. My roll gimbal snapped in half the other night and I have been going crazy looking for a replacement part.

Damn!! I thought all the new high tech gear was plug and play?:shocking: I was actually just looking these over thinking about setting them up with a new TM Warthog setup I'm looking at on Amazon. My roll gimbal for my TM HOTAS Cougar just broke in half the other night and i can't find a replacement without buying a whole new stick. I was also thinking about using the CH Rudder pedals. Seem heavier duty.

Yeah not looking for a whole set just to fix mine. Will probably do Warthog later on but right now I'm trying to build a flight desk where all my equipment slides into desk and is concealed when not in use. Wife's only concession to allowing me to get back into this ...lol.

Live in Central Florida. Working in Jacksonville. Just curious what you did to your stick that you don't need the gimbals anymore? Tell my you didn't find an FSSB R2. Been looking everywhere.

The roll gimbal in my Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar joystick broke. Can't find a replacement and nobody is selling the FSSB R1 or R2 to replace it with. I already have the throttle system that comes with and the (older) Elite rudder pedals. Problem is all of these can only be used by tying them into the back of the Cougar Joystick. Does anybody know where I can get another Cougar joystick or even a parts to use to fix mine?

Anyone know where I can get the replacement FSSB R1 or R2 for the Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar. My roll gimbal just snapped in half and I found an article on the Force Sensor Stick Base (FSSB) replacement for the TM gimbal system for the joystick. Looks like a way better upgrade. Easy to install and much better performance. Does the R3 work in the Cougar?

If you don't mind my asking...What did you do that you no longer needed the gimbal replacement? Mine just broke the other day as well. Need to replace it or I'm down.

Do you still have the gimbal for TM Cougar HOTAS? I'm in desperate need of one. Just spent over $80 on aircraft joining DCS. Broke out the old TM Cougar flight controllers and a week later I felt a snap. Took it apart a couple hours ago and found roll gimbal broken in half just like Sirah.
