  2. Nope, I did look into both files with 7Zip but didn't save. That's how I found out about the hard coding as I was getting index zero warnings when I tried to remove Russia from the Red list.
  3. Ok, you'll see a plane and a heli group that I have added. They turn Blue when changed to Ukraine.
  4. Hi, Is there a solution for this coalition issue? I have created a mission with Russia & Ukraine in the Red zone, all other countries are Blue. "My" plane is Ukraine = Red. So far so good. When I add another group and choose Ukraine they are listed as Ukraine = Blue :helpsmilie:. The only way to get new groups on the Red side is to choose country = Russia for them. Since Russia seems hardcoded in the coalition files (me_coalitions.lua etc.) it is also impossible to remove it from the Red list.
  5. No, it would be nice to have a pilot walk up to and away from the plane. But that isn't possible.
  6. Hi, Have you checked this thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=55999&highlight=f1 ? There were some people with the same problem. If you have downloaded a legal copy of FC2 I would advise to re-install it and try it again.
  7. Hi, Have you checked for the missions that you start that they have selected "player" in the Skill parameter? You can check this by opening the mission in the editor.
  8. Hi, Found a problem with different lightings for different airports. When I wanted to fly a night mission (01:00 hrs) with Su-25 from Nalchik airbase I had almost no light from gear light. This is also true for the searchlights, on most airfields they work, on some not. And some don't have any at all. Tested this on different airports and this is the outcome: Sochi-Adler - no problem Anapa - no problem Krymsk - no problem Novorossijk - search lights missplaced Geledzhik - search lights missplaced Krasnodar-center - no problem Krasnodar-Pashkovsky - no problem Maykop - no problem Mineralnye Vodi - lights not working, no searchlights Nalchik - lights not working, no searchlights Gudauta - no problem Sukhumi - no problem Tskhakaya - no problem Kutaisi - no problem Kobuleti - no problem Batumi - search lights missplaced. Search lights missplaced means that they are positioned at the other end of the runway and would blind the pilot when taking off. Hope this can be fixed.
  9. Hi, Thanks for the reply, I tried it but couldn't get it to work. I know there are searchlights used on some airfields but I cannot find them in the encyclopedia. If I could place those then there wouldn't be a problem (I think...) Edit: found problem in airport-structure(?). New bug reported in another thread.
  10. Hi, Does anyone know how to get lights on airfields like Nal`Chik where you only have lights along the runway? Changing a mission like Su-25 Route to earlier hours like 01:00 hrs is impossible without at least some light to get to the runway. At least it is to me :(. The landing lights of the plane itself aren't good enough, but that seems to be a known bug. Any ideas? Thanks.
  11. Hi, You can have Lockon version 1.02, FC 1.12b and FC2 all on the same Pc and play any of these whenever you want.   12. If you're looking for a cheap joystick with excellent feeling I can advise the Thrustmaster T16000M. No sloppy feel at all, wish the (expensive) Warthog had more of this feeling :-)
  13. Hi, The simplest way is to start TARGET GUI, load or create the configuration file (GUI profile), edit the configuration and then select View Script at the bottom. That way you get a Worpad screen with all the commands. Save it. Then start TARGET Script editor, use one of the existing files like DCS FC2 A-10A.tmc. There you can copy/paste from the file you saved in Wordpad. Save it with your own name so you keep the original file.

  15. Hi, The last couple of weeks I had several problems with the use of the TARGET release 2 software. That is to say, I had several commands and switches not working anymore in FC2 as they did before with TARGET release 1. This is all on Windows 7 Ultimate x64. This is what I found as the main difference between release 1 and release 2. When you start to run a script in release 1 the throttle and joystick are automatically disabled. You can see this if you open the screen Devices and Printers. Both items will get a yellow exclamation mark. When the script is stopped, both are enabled again. This does not happen in release 2. Therefore, when you start FC2 and look at the controllers you will see 3 columns. And that messes up your controls. If you pull the joystick or move the throttle you will see jerky movements. Now, to solve this you will have to disable these 2 items yourself in the screen Devices and Printers. Then, when you start the script everything works again fine in FC2. But be aware, when you stop the script, both items are automatically enabled again! Hope this helps to solve some mysterious problems with switches not working in FC2 as before.
  16. @Teej, Sorry it took me while to come back. In the meantime I have re-installed Windows 7 from a clean system image and then re-installed all the latest Thrustmaster software & drivers. The flaps work perfect now. Don't know why :( but am pleased it's solved.:) Thanks for your help.
  17. Hi, This is a question about the update from version RC_22_10_2010 to RC_2_12_11_2010. I've already raised this point with the Thrustmaster support but they reckon all works as it should. So I'm wondering if anybody has noticed the same behaviour or that it's just on my system. I don't have another system to test with. I'm using the Warthog in combination with FC2. In my script I have the following code to control the flaps: MapKey(&Throttle, FLAPU, PULSE[color=#ffffff]+[/color]Flaps_Up); [color=#32cd32]//Flaps Up [/color] MapKeyR(&Throttle, FLAPU, PULSE[color=#ffffff]+[/color]Flaps_Up_Down); MapKey(&Throttle, FLAPM, [color=#ffffff]0[/color]); MapKey(&Throttle, FLAPD, PULSE[color=#ffffff]+[/color]Flaps_Landing_Position); [color=#32cd32]//Flaps Landing[/color] MapKeyR(&Throttle, FLAPD, PULSE[color=#ffffff]+[/color]Flaps_Up_Down); When I test this in de Event Tester I get the expected commands in both TARGET versions. With version RC_22_10_2010 this is also true in FC2. But, with version RC_2_12_11_2010 it changes. Then the switch from Flaps Up to Flaps Down suddenly acts as on/off in FC2. This is best seen by putting the plane on the runway as starting position. Then you can see clearly how the flaps react. Using the keyboard isn't a problem at all, all fine. Can someone please point me in the right direction? I've run out off ideas.:(
  18. Hi, Thank you for your comments. I think that a hard copy of the GUI manual like the Flight manual would be very helpful. It would make it a lot easier to have it on the desk while working in the editor. At least it would for me as I'm not so well trained in this :huh: (like my flying..). One question about these zones: the radius is a flat circle? It is not a hemisphere? Because in the mission it has a trigger in a particular zone to send the pilot off to another airport. How many meters above or below would that trigger work? Ah well, I'll be off into the editor to try it out. If I can find it out I'll report it here.
  19. Hi, I've been flying the Su-25 Route mission from FC2 and have a number of questions. 1. Is it possible to add messages/voices in the editor like in this mission? 2. Why does the mission not count for 100% complete if there is no diversion to one of the two other airports? 3. Why is it not possible to select the number two of the destination airports in the RETURN mode? The navigation panel always shows 1A€P & 2A€P (sorry, you know what I mean) together, I can only select 3A€P by itself. According to the manual you should be able to store 4 airports. 4. If you go through the diiferent airports on the navigation panel, once you select 3A€P the navigation panel sticks to that. I cannot switch then anymore between airports. 5. The briefing says to fly 700 kph. But I cannot fly faster then 500 kph because the plane will shake itself to destruction at that altitude.:) Any help would be great to get it all working as it should.(?)
  20. Well, in FC2 you have the same. The icon starts launcher.exe and when you select the mission it starts simulator.exe. On my system when I select a mission it starts with the briefing screen, then it takes a couple of seconds before I get the small window with the two fighters, then it switches to the runway-screen and this takes about 15 seconds to load everything for the mission. All in all maybe 20 seconds?
  21. Well, yes, you have answered my question. Thanks :thumbup:. Now I can make practice missions like the ones in the videos (shooting C-130's in a field) and know I did not make a mistake in the mission editor as they show up as buildings in the debriefing.
  22. Hi, Did you check the first line on the training menu? It should have these lines on the left: Flight school A-10A Thunderbolt II Study F15C Eagle Study Su-27 Flanker B Study Su-25 Frogfoot Study Su-25T Frogfoot Study. When you select Training the first line (Flight school) will be blue and on the right you can select a video. These are the videos you're looking for.
  23. Thank you for your replies. The one thing I do not get is how to put (active) planes on a field, stationary. I mean, what is the first waypoint then? If I put the first waypoint on zero meters ands zero speed then the planes are shown in the result as crashed and pilot killed. And they still count as buildings. Also, if planes are put there as "buildings", why not active vehicles? I've tested it with some Tanker M978 and they show as such on the result list after the flight. Or has that to do with the more "simple" model of these against planes?
  24. Hi, Because I couldn't find any thread on this subject I'll put my question here. How do you add stationary targets like planes to a mission? That is, I've added 4 planes from the blue side on a field for shooting practice. After the mission they all show up as "buildings" being hit. No matter what I try I simply cannot get them counted as "planes". The manual isn't helpful on this :book:, at least I could not find it.:dunno: I apologize upfront if there is a thread somewere else for these questions.
  25. Hi, As I like to fly the SU-25 in LockOn I'm trying to get a profile for the Hotas Cougar as close to the real thing as possible. Therefore I'm looking for information about the exact function for each button on the SU-25 stick and throttle. I have searched the internet and all sorts of forums, even asked at Sukhoi..., but could not find the information and never got any answer. Could it be that this is still classified? Thanks for any help.
