  1. Hi, Don't know what you're willing to spend but these http://mfg.simundza.com/products are considered by most as top of the bill. Do some research here in the forum and you'll find more comments on them.
  2. XMP means that you can select a pre-defined overclock in the bios. If you search the internet for XMP profile you'll find more information. And there will be also information in the manual from your motherboard. To me choosing these settings never gave problems, but it is always your own choice to make changes in the bios. At least Asus shows in their list that they have tested these memory modules for this motherboard. Whatever your choice, always make sure that you have enough cooling. Monitor temperatures with software like MSI Afterburner or CPUID HWMonitor.
  3. Since these modules are on the DDR3 2133 Qualified Vendors List (QVL) for your motherboard you can't go wrong on these. Check the list on Asus website for other brands that have been tested. G.Skill isn't expensive and I'm quite happy with my memory modules from them.
  4. Have a look at the picture. This is what right click --> properties shows on my system (Win 7).
  5. The mod has a MiG-21_Cockpit folder unzipped. If that is placed in the ..\textures\ directory it will be used instead of the MiG-21_Cockpit zipped folder. So, if you delete one of the files in the unzipped folder, the program will take the file from the zipped folder.
  6. ^^ The mod still works in 1.5. No changes in directories so OP instructions still valid.
  7. Hi, I've noticed this as well. Using Tacview 1.4.0 it shows wrong IAS speed for the MiG-21bis. Going from the ramp to the rwy, TAS = 33 km/h, IAS = 18.459 km/h. In the air, TAS = 807 km/h, IAS = 348.032 km/h. I've attached the Tacview acmi file. Tacview-20151104-114542-DCS.txt.acmi.zip

    Mousewheel control

@akp, added the requested volume knob to the mod. Enjoy. I forgot to mention that I used this mod both in 1.2 and 1.5. MiG-21bis mousewheel control.zip

    Mousewheel control

Thanks for your suggestion , I've added it and will update later today. The way the weapon selector works now was a choice I made because the choices are not symmetrical around the circle and the axis functionality needs that (as far as I know, but I might be wrong on this). To me it's not a problem as the mousewheel turn is really fast when you get used to it. As each change is documented you can off course select the ones you like by removing the changed lines and remove the "--" at the beginning of the oiginal lines.
  10. This is a (JSGME ready) mod I made because I prefer to use the mousewheel instead of clicking to turn various knobs. I also "speeded up" some knobs so it takes less turning of the mousewheel. The mod has a readme that shows all modifications. Also, all the original lines are present in the clickabledata.lua file (--"out commented"). As the LN devs are working on the controls at the moment it could very well be that my mod is either superfluous or needs adjusting with the new patch. MiG-21bis mousewheel control.zip
  11. I do see Crossfire support for the mobo in the specs, nothing about SLI. Maybe to take into account for the GPU you're planning.
  12. There seems to be a difference in the picture quality (lower graphics?) between 1.2.16 and 1.5. I've added two screenshots with the options and two with the menu. In 1.5 there really is a difference in the pictures. My feeling is that this is also true in the cockpit but I find it hard to show as clearly with the menu.

    PRMG crash

I just tested this with version 1.2.16 and could go up to channel 99....no problem.
  14. When the PRMG channel selected > 16 DCS will crash. Attached are the log file and the dump. This is happening in the beta version, not in the release version.
  15. Hello, When 2 AI's are used in a mission to follow the player it can happen that they never take off. That happens when they are placed next to each other on the ramp. In the attached mission, if they are placed on ramp numbers 4 & 5, they line up for take off but never do. Put them on ramp numbers 4 & 12 (more spread) and they will take off. It seems as there is a problem when the AI's are going to the track either close to each other or close to the player. This never happens when a group is created with 2 units. I would like to have 2 units to follow, on on each side. With 2 separate AI's I can do that, not with when they are part of a group. I've attached two missions that can easily be used to check this behavior. Tracks didn't work as 9 out of 10 they play back wrong like player going on to the grass. 16. Check this site http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030 how to install the module using the dcs_updater.exe. On the lower part of the screen you find the exact module name. Assuming of course that you have the module installed in the run time version of DCS.
  17. Hi, have you checked on http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030 ? The page gives all the needed info, I had to manually install all modules as none were transferred by the beta updater.
  18. Best solution I found, car seat cover for 7 euro's...:)
  19. Hi Andrey, Thank you for the latest update, no problems in MiG-21:). There is an option "Copy dashboard shake" that has not been implemented (yet?) Would it be possible to use this for the Mig-21 to reproduce the shaking of the cockpit when the aircraft starts moving? This is not the same as "Ground bumps" as they do not come into play at that moment. Kind Regards, Huub.
  20. @Rangi, Keep an eye on this site http://support.creative.com/kb/ShowArticle.aspx?sid=126331
  21. In the old LockOn days it was already asked but it wasn't possible at that time. Will it be possible with the new engine to have the airbase lights on when the fog enable has been set for a mission during daytime?
  22. I always use this great tool to study the mission beforehand http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/453/. It works really good!
  23. Hi Andrey, Sure, high speed shudders and drag parachute would be great for the MiG-21. Not sure if one could feel flaps movement or that it would me more of a speed up/down sensation.
  24. Got my SimShaker 908 yesterday and got my first shock when taking off with the MiG-21. This is an absolute tremendous experience! It just adds so much immersive feeling, almost unbelievable. The Warthog stick lacks FBB but this seat cushion definitely is making up for that. @Andrey, thank you so much for your support, you're doing a great job. Can't wait for the other effects to be implemented. :-)
