I completely agree with your assessment. My 15E Talon was the best feeling stick I've ever used. After I realised I needed to clean the pots regularly, I didn't have too much trouble with spiking. But before that, it was indeed troublesome. If only the "guts" of a CH Fighterstick could be placed in the shell of the Suncom, THAT would be a hell of a stick.
-
I used to use Suncom. You don't need the original drivers if you re using XP. In fact, the original drivers might not even work.

You really can't specifically pick where planes will spawn if you set them to start in a parking area. There's a set pattern determining where they are placed.

So what's the real performance of AIM-120C

Please post any data you have regarding the actual performance of the RWRs modelled in LO. Specifically relating to your alleged overmodelling. -

There is one thing: the model itself. (fins) -

The 120 had the reduced smoke motor from the A model. It is indeed called the C model in LO. Regarding the difference between the A and B models: http://designation-systems.net/dusrm/m-120.html -
Translation again please. It is very unfortunate that it is necessary for me to make this announcement. No group of participants insists on which planes they get. Neither do they insist on how many planes they get. Each group of participants requests a number of a certain airframe. The LOCERF staff assigns airframes in accordance with what they deem best for the mission. Of course, each request is taken into account and we try to fill each request if possible. Sometimes groups don't get their first choice of airframe and sometimes they don't get the full number of requested airframes. Your large group presents difficulties that no other group presents in that it is much more difficult to assign the planes you all most want and keep the teams balanced. Each plane assigned to your group was one of the choices given to me for each pilot. Although I have made efforts to allow you to get what you want, there is no feeling of wrongdoing on my part because of your plane assignments. If you think you are the only group to be assigned planes they have not listed as a first choice, you are incorrect. All of you need to understand this fact: The airframes assigned to RedFor will not be changed. I have received a message from SVK that you have chosen not to switch any planes with them. You will have what was assigned to you and no more. If you choose to only use 8 of the 10 Su-25Ts then the other two will simply be unused. Expect changes for future LOCERF events designed to keep this unnecessary drama from happening again. It is a waste of valuable time and causes all of us frustrations that I'm sure none of us want.

So what's the real performance of R-73
S77th-GOYA replied to nscode's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Well, maybe here's why not. Chances are that the soldering iron was hotter than a cigarette (possibly much, much hotter) and I doubt the lab provided for distances of 300 meters from the seeker. This is not necessarily proof of anything other than the two tests could be quite different. -

I repeat, why is the thread about the performance of the AMRAAM closed? The last post is a warning to keep it on topic. The apparent trouble maker in that thread was banned. Why is it closed? -

Lock-On's Current Multiplayer State

And I would call that losing the battle for air superiority. Unless it is a 10 minute flight to the enemy base. ;) -
Lock-On's Current Multiplayer State
S77th-GOYA replied to Grimes's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I can't help but think back to the "olden days" when the S77th server was operational and by far the most popular server on HL. There were no stats and there was rarely an AWACS/EWR. A TS server was available but rarely used by anyone other than S77th. Those of us in the S77th were almost entirely in fighters and to the opposition it may have appeared to be "airquake". But believe me, there was a great deal of coordination and teamwork going on to acheive the goal of air superiority. From wing level up to the overall squadron level. So I guess the bottom line is that it is going to be what you make of it. Shooting down other aircraft is what air superiority fighters do. Calling it airquake because a bomber isn't coming in behind you is often times a misnomer. -
Lock-On's Current Multiplayer State
S77th-GOYA replied to Grimes's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Lack of planning and leadership is inherent in a 24/7 dedicated server. That equals airquake. Team Fortress 2 has several defined roles for people to choose from. LO has fighters and mud movers that have no realistic chance to survive in the same airspace with an opposition fighter. -
I got out of the habit of it. Too many times I've looked for the briefing and there hasn't been anything of value there. But please take that to mean that there SHOULD be a briefing.

Haha! What the hell happened?

Zero your throttles? -
Untrue. There is a distinction between AI and client aircraft. The easiest way to see it is to be killed by each and check the mp_log file afterward. The AI kill won't be there. BUT, the damage models should be distinct, regardless. Well actually, they shouldn't be, but they are.

Need some A2A missile evasion guides urgently!
S77th-GOYA replied to Alexrey's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Alexrey, do you fly a particular plane? Missile evasion in 1.02 is much tougher than in 1.12. But the best techniques may depend on what you are flying or more importantly, which missiles YOU are carrying. -
Happy birthday, T! Here's your present: http://zombo.com/ I picked it out especially for you. ;-)

It looks like the post I found doing that original search had some incorrect/misleading information. Look here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=20107&highlight=cockpit+default+view+angle Pay attention to Alfa's post. The file you want to edit is snapviews.lua. Sorry for steering you wrong. -
