  1. No, satellites are much smaller than that in appearance, you actually have no idea what a satellite looks like do you. That line of dots are SpaceShips. The atmosphere goes up to the Gravity Shell, for rocketry if they do not take this into account then they do not ever break the shell and go into Space. Orbit is established within 5 meters of the outside of the Gravity shell, if it is not caught then the rocket continues out into Space and keeps going. Rocket LAB has never ever put anything into space.
  2. 800 000 meters is just below the Gravity Shell which holds the atmosphere and is the most violent place to fly through. The Gravity Shell is 274 000 meters thick and is a terrible place to fly in, the Gravity field cuts through you and you feel it inside your body, it makes people vomit, crap themselves and scream all at once. Think this, 800 000 meters = 800 kilometres, can you see a car from that distance or a truck? Think about size of the objects! They must be bigger than a satellite.
  3. GPS is not accurate enough for that, the new tech HIGHLY ACCURATE NAVIGATION SYSTEM which is in the A-10CII is good enough for a Superhornet to always catch the 3 wire, a Harrier equipt with FBW and Auto-Land can land precisely where it needs to land. JPALS has nothing to do with the SCORPION HELMET, the SCORPION is a completely different system that uses something else and is newer. the A-10CII has the HIGHLY ACCURATE NAVIGATION SYSTEM and the SCORPION HELMET. It is the most technologically advanced system ED has ever modeled. It is also the most secret which is why you guys know nothing about it. Sounds cool, I frequent there as well.
  4. They are testing it, Auto-Land is extremely good for VTOL. F35B never had Auto-land of the type described using the new navigation system. JHCMS is older generation compared to the SCORPION helmet.
  5. ACLS is not that good, this is new system is way better. ACLS properly modeled won't catch the 3 wire all the time but it is a good system. The new system HIGHLY ACCURATE NAVIGATION SYSTEM, catches the 3 wire every time in all weather. It uses something else and is not the same as ACLS. It may be fitted at some point in the future to the SU33 and Mig29K and other Countries Navies Carrier Aircraft including China as it makes CarrierOps safer. The SCORPION Helmet on a Helicopter shows the outline of the ship in a wire frame diagram so that you can still see the ship in CAT3 conditions including 100% fog. It also later comes with FBW for helicopters and Auto-Land for Ships. Auto-Land for both AV8B and F35B involves FBW as well as THE HIGHLY ACCURATE NAVIGATION SYSTEM. It would be a later block for both aircraft if they model them on DCS. It is also secret. SCORPION is a new generation Helmet that is better than the JHCMS.
  6. No, the helmet is being tested by the Marines and US Navy, it is very good technology. It will no doubt be in later blocks of those aircraft that it is designed for. It is good for people to know of the future applications of the tech. So I am not complaining that there is no runway marked out on the Helmet Display, I am informing of what it can do and what is already in there. The Helmet will know if there is for example an obstacle later and inform the pilot to climb to void it. It would be for a Hornet a later block, the A-10CII however can have those features once it is cleared by the CIA that they are allowed to model it. It might take a while, I am surprised that this was allowed to be modeled so soon. For the SCORPION it is not an upgrade of the systems it is a software update for terrain information. So it could be modeled once the CIA allows that information for DCS.
  7. Later on when the SCORPION is on helicopters it would also feature trees and buildings in the Helmet. That is the potential for the technology and even civilian aircraft will be using the system in the near future. The symbology is a line for the runway outline and taxiway. Helicopters will feature Auto take off, Auto Cruise,Auto Hover and Auto Land using this new technology it is extremely good.
  8. The answer should be when they find out more information shouldn't it or would you prefer a half modeled A-10CII, do you really use DCS?
  9. They are testing the Helmet and new navigation system not A-10's. The SCORPION Helmet is part of a new Navigation System for aircraft which is precise. For the 3 wire there is a new Autopilot with Auto-Landing mode. Pilots can see the Carrier in any weather with a SCORPION HELMET. Even A-10CII pilots would be able to see the Carriers and Ships if they were flying past. Unlike way point's in the Helmet they would see the Carrier outline.
  10. I am telling you what it can do and those features are already on the real Helmet.
  11. Automatic In-flight Refueling mode on a real Hornet, I think a real one is doable! It would no doubt be a later block though.
  12. It is not debate, it is interesting for people to know how good this technology is and what else it is capable of. There are more Helmets of this Kind coming with other capabilities from Soldiers to Police. It has a lot of uses, one of the best features is for Airline pilots and civilian aircraft which is also a Helmet. It is so good that it will no doubt later become the new CAA standard for Flight Safety. It is weird for you to believe that it is a debate when someone is informing everyone of the capability of the Helmet. You seem to believe that you know everything but on this topic you know absolutely nothing. The Navy and Marines are testing it. It is extremely good, it is combined with several other features extremely good for pilots to find Aircraft Carriers in IFR and features Auto-land which always catches the 3 wire. They are currently testing it.
  13. The F35 has a HUD. Check youtube for videos of precision weapons. The one in the M2000 is not as accurate as the SCORPION HELMET. But it could have that precision someday in regard to the runway outline, they would have to talk to Boeing.
  14. As far as you know, but I am telling you that they are testing them. Remember this, 3 wire every landing on a moving carrier. So for the A-10CII we might someday see the runway and taxiway outline in the Helmet and HUD. So it is tech that is very, very new. Like that new missile the APKWS that is capable of hitting people, precision!
  15. For the Devs the ATC holds AoA only, so for approach it holds that AoA not speed. You set your AoA and it does the rest, changes in pitch/roll and it will go back to the AoA set when the button was pushed.
  16. They are using the same technology and helmet. So it is relevant. You would consider this better than what the Mirage 2000C has, in fact they might eventually have the same technology put on their aircraft. This technology can replace the airspeed indicator, altimeter, compass and AoA indicator. It is so accurate that landing on a carrier is the No3 wire every time.
  17. The US Navy and Marines have had aircraft recover in IFR conditions safely during emergencies using that technology. It is very, very good. PATENT!
  18. They are testing the SCORPION HELMET on all of them, it is more advanced than the others mentioned. This technology is 1 1/2 years old. Notice the SCORPION HELMET can see other aircraft but does not have EO-DAS or RADAR.
  19. When the SCORPION HELMET is used by aircraft that fly off aircraft carriers then they would be able to see the carrier in all weather with it. For example the F35B/C or Hornet. An A-10CII could see a moving carrier if that feature were turned on. Later they would be able to see terrain features if it were put into the memory. With this you can see the runway hundreds of miles away. Just to point out F35B/C and AV8B Harriers are using this technology which includes AUTO-APPROACH and AUTO-LAND. It is extremely good technology in not just being able to see everything in all weather but to avoid accidents by knowing precisely where everything is. For IFR it is very good and may become the new standard in flight safety for all aircraft. It also has a technology in order to make a flying car safe and practical. It is not the helmet but what is inside the aircraft that is the technology of HIGHLY ACCURATE NAVIGATION SYSTEMS PATENT! That makes this addon the A-10C II the first of its kind by ED to model the most advanced and accurate aircraft navigation system. It will be awesome when more features are added to show the technology to its full potential. IFR is where DCS Pilots will notice the difference when a runway and taxiway is in the Helmet.
  20. ED would have to ask Boeing. It can do buildings as well as the runway/taxiway. It can do a moving carrier and a tanker.
  21. The real A-10CII has the Runway overlay and much more. That is not as good as the SCORPION HELMET, the Airliner ones so far are not as good as what the A-10CII has.
  22. The real aircraft will be getting it and eventually ED might someday model it, expect something like the SCORPION HELMET in the A-10CII as well someday it is really good tech.
  23. It is just a bit about that technology inside the SCORPION HELMET. This is really good for IFR approaches, the tech is coming to Airliners soon.
  24. I wonder when/if they'll get the SCORPION HELMET like on the A-10CII?
  25. Could we please have the Runway, taxiway in the Hud and helmet as that is a feature of the A-10CII. That Scorpion helmet is extremely awesome.
