  1. There could be good news in the new patch change log, maybe you haven't seen it. I take this to mean all reported problems.
  2. I haven't played the mission myself so it may very well be a bug. One thing to note is that some item's won't become available in some missions until you pass a certain trigger.
  3. Experiencing this too, it also happens if your editing a post and click the 'go advanced' button.
  4. Me neither. I usually move onto setting up my CMS profiles, TAD display settings and DSMS profiles. If I remember correctly it took twice as long to align in the F16.
  5. Last time I checked TAR's doesn't work with the latest teamspeak just yet, Headspace is working on it though. So if your running TS3 RC1 then you will have to downgrade or wait. Teamspeak added a whole new sound system as I understand, been using it for the last week, sound now sounds correct coming through my 7.1 headset.
  6. Some people say it will make a difference and some will say it won't. Best to give it a try, if it doesn't give you a performance boost but the pc is stable then there's no harm in keeping it inside your computer, especially since you got it for free. Could come in useful in the future as game's use more memory. Edit: If you do a search on the forums you will find a few threads about this over the last week.
  7. Yeah, I believe there is a flaw in the dynamic weather. What would work brilliantly is having the same system but having a limit so it never goes over the A-10's maximum capability, if you understand what I'm saying. I've had some horrendous flights online that were caused by dynamic weather, turbulence and wind so severe that the moment your wheels leave the ground your nearly on the taxiway 100 meters to your 9. That is if you managed to get airborne without breaking off a wing or your gear. In real life no aircraft would be cleared to take off in those sort of conditions, no matter what. I don't know if wind shear is modelled but what was causing you to be thrown around, dropping alt and gaining it fast was turbulence.
  8. Very nice video Fish, reminds me of that flight we had in multiplayer without the HUD. I see you've also got some video evidence of that taxiway bug we were talking about.
  9. Bad turbulence and wind are the likely causes of what your experiencing on approach. The free flight ramp start mission has awful weather for me. I only flew it once so it may have dynamic weather ( bad idea ).
  10. Been guilty of doing that at low altitude more than once :music_whistling:. Axis curves can be the death of you sometimes if you pull back too hard.
  11. Forgot to add that I've had the sim since beta 4. The 185th? If that's the one with 'Ghostrider' in then I used to be a member back when I flew F4:AF, good bunch of lads.
  12. I find you pick things up pretty quick ( weapons deployment and things like that ) if you've had previous simulation experience. It took me about a month before I was confident to take it into actual combat but I'm still learning new things now, little tricks in the system and so on. You will never stop learning.
  13. One of the early combat flight simulator games, can't remember which exactly. First serious simulation would have been Falcon 4.0.
  14. I find if your monitor does dynamic contrast then enable it in the settings of your monitor, it helps them stand out a bit better, for me at least. Make's the sim look more realistic also and any other game for that matter.
  15. I only use my cheap flight stick now and I've got the most important hat's all bound to one hat control, just use modifiers. For example I use the hat to slew and if I use the hat while pressing CTRL I will be using the TMS. Shift is used for the boat switch and alt is used for the mic switches.
  16. Just checked the manual, never knew that, thanks. Most people make sure they're in STPT mode and hold V though, myself included. I'll start using that from now on, saves going from TGP into STPT just to slave it to the steerpoint after you've already targeted something.
  17. For slewing the TGP to a steerpoint make sure your in STPT mode and hold China Hat Forward Long ( Default key is 'V' ). For slewing MAV's to the TGP you will need to target the vehicle with the TGP and make sure the TGP is designating the SPI, switch to your MAV and hold the 'V' key once again. China Hat Forward Long will slew all sensors to your SPI.
  18. I mainly switch between BHOT and WHOT, CCD come's in handy for spotting targets on lit up textures. Zoom right in on a bright texture and switch to CCD to help spot targets on them. My bad, should have stated that I only use CCD in that circumstance. The targets circled in blue I spotted straight away, the two in yellow you can't see, I found while doing a zoomed search and flicking modes. I think it's a matter of practice and knowing what to look for, the yellow targets were VERY hard to find and took time. Admittedly if the target is inside a forest you will never find him but let's hope those tree's are one of the things being worked on.
  19. This is where trading standards need to step in, the prices they charge for some games aren't justified. ED's sim's are worth the money and more though. One thing they could do which would be nice is to keep the price the same for the people who are venturing into flight sim's. For the people who believe it's worth more they could set up some sort of donation system.
  20. I knew you'd like it, who wouldn't. Feel free to give my profile a try it's in my signature. I tuned it for moving in on the MFD's and things. It's always best to spend an hour tuning your own profile though.
  21. Thanks for adding that Kuky, I always disabled mirrors because they seemed very clunky.
  22. If you think we're arguing then more fool you. The way your coming across is a bit..... So I won't use up my own time to try and help you again. Saying you care about your own time but not the time of the people who are trying to help you when they don't have to, is well...
  23. I would have still killed all them targets in the city, it just takes longer and good searching whilst switching between modes including CCD, it's hard when they fall onto dodgy texture backgrounds and those flaming trees but it's not impossible. Like Cibit pointed out the TGP is being worked on and they are aware of the texture problems, hopefully they will fix it. I also think your missing the point about the open field screenshot, if I could take that screenshot again with default level and gain you wouldn't really be able to see the targets at that range and zoom. Was just pointing out the difference it can make.
  24. Don't worry about the bump. I can only go off what I've read on the forums but there doesn't seem to be much of a visual difference from using 'Every Frame', if any at all. The one difference you will notice is a noticeable frame rate hit using 'Every Frame'.
  25. There are four targets in the first screenshot, provided only two of them stand out. The problem with finding targets in cities is there appears to be more of the lava ground textures inside city's, the last three screenshot's clearly illustrate what people say about the FLIR not being accurate. As we've been told they're working on the TGP and I trust that they will fix these 'lava' textures.
