  2. RTFM means read the fu**king manual, and I dont understand why new guys get heat from those who should know better. Big reason why I asked to be banned the first time around is due to the arrogance of this community. Despicable if you ask me.
  3. what about a netbook? Id rather have a netbook simply because its smaller and I can place it on my knee
  4. Ive noticed it does. The torque readings vary at altitude, after significant fuel burnoff, and when all the ammo is expended. Its more noticeable when you fire all the rocket pods and drop the canisters. Also, Ive noticed that the gunship is more balanced than the slick as you dont have to trim as much.
  5. yeah because that button located on the front of the flight stick is something that can easily and readily be searched for using the forum search button. How about canning the attitude and just answer the question? And to answer the question - its not assigned to anything.
  6. Im looking to get a touch screen monitor exclusively for a CDU input device, using helios or whatever program I can use to export it to a touch screen. I have been -somewhat successfully- been using a Razer fully programmable keyboard for a separate input device specifically for the CDU, but after the last patch came through kinda made all the macros defunct and I had to redo every single last key stroke again......... anyways, long story short, just looking for a simple way to do this. Id like to try a netbook or some sort of input device not unlike (but ISNT) an ipad. My motherboard has a connection for 1 more HDMI display plugin, and I think I can get away with it. Any general ideas I can use? Netbook, cheap touchscreen monitor, whatever...just as long as it isnt an ipad and doesnt break my wallet into highly flammable pieces...that I can use an already available helios profile for it.
  7. The Doom Machine or The Martyr Maker - I should make a poll out of this one...
  8. any way you can add force to the stick?
  9. gotta love how all them people are standing in line with the prop, right?
  10. Yeah, god forbid you get a little backfiring from a carbureted engine.
  11. A home depot is a lowes is a home improvement center is a hardware store is a plumbers paradise. They just vary in sizes, and almost all of them either cut pipe or bend it too. Almost every hardware store Ive went to had a way to bend copper tubing for plumbing/HVAC or galvanized/stainless steel tubing. If you cant find one, I bet you can call a plumber and ask them where they get pipes bent to order. Id do it myself, but Im lazy :joystick:
  12. Home Depot can probably help you with that. If they dont sell the pipe bending machines themselves, they can probably do it for you for either free of a small fee. They usually do small things for me just by asking...hell, they even helped me with ideas on how to proceed with my stick!
  13. If you can raise it up another inch or so, and make the shaft elbow right aboutlike this, Id probably want one from you too! Or maybe with a 45 degree bend that straightens up to where I can mount my joystick handle and it can travel over my seat without touching it...
  14. Im going to have to point out another issue, I just noticed you have the gimbal on the deck. The chair will interfere with stick travel, and you might want to test it before you go any further. Id even go as far as applying sensitivity to the stick in-game, but I overcame that by removing the gimbal off the mount and placing mine on top of the pipe, connected to flanges.
  15. why do you gotta be such a buzzkill? f68VXKMZT1Q
  16. It was 80 at first...:pilotfly: The one thing I hate about my setup is the simple fact that removing my joystick from where its at is an annoyance. The pipe is threaded, so all I have to do is twist it out of the flange I have mounted on my floor. But first I have to crawl under my desk and unplug it from my usb hub, disconnect my rudder pedals from the floor to move the cable out from underneath it, and then disassemble the stick. I hate crawling underneath my desk.
  17. I know, right??? :D Back when Flanker 2 and F/A-18 PSF were all the rage.
  18. You can still get condensation in front of a low pressure area sucked into a turbine. Even then, we still dont have steam or effects like condensed vapor in-game. They just recently added jet smoke, why not vapor effects like steam? Simple request...
  19. You're right, never noticed that. But still, looks pretty good considering it appeared to be condensed vapor intake on a carrier deck. You can see a little of that in this video. OlqHqwT0md8#t=55
  20. You're welcome! I have a very similar design with my stick, but I went kind of a different way with it. You can see it in my sig attachment.

  22. There hasnt been any prow effects in any DCS/TFC/ED software until 1.2.7 that I know of.
  23. There were no ship wake particles back in the old days, these were rendered clouds - the same exact ones we've had since the very beginning! I remember the discussions about them on the old Ubisoft forums from way back in the days, I just dont remember why they deleted them before release.
