Not sure why you need a fix, My mouse never controled in inside view. Just my hat or view buttons. I've done noting and clicking works fine with TrackIR.

Nvidia 3D vision glasses
Prophet4no1 replied to VETORyleh's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I guess at CES Adam Sessler from G4 was getting sick of all the 3D stuff on display. He even went as far as to say that it really adds nothing to the experiance that he could see. Yeah it improves the depth of feild but other than that, it's not a revolution every one is making it out to be. Combine that with the Ecinomic meltdown the world is in right now, and I think this is not going to take off that fast. Personally, I never liked 3D movies and such. It never really looked right to me. -
I never new that, very cool! Thanks Frazer! How do you guys get to program the pinky button? My software wont let me. I want to use that as my trim button instead of the C button.
-
Cool thanks guys. I kinda figured it was temp, but I was not to sure.

I'll pass. I'll spend big bucks on a Fanatec Wheel befor that. My x52 works just fine.
-
Yeah, but after doing some surfing around, by the time you payed shipping the cost is about the same from all of them.

Quick tip for X52 owners
Prophet4no1 replied to Prophet4no1's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
That's a little to watery, for the joystick and it's "propper" use. WET works better in the latter department. I am really happy with the Gun Sav. It's been flawless on mine. -
CJ Martin on why Janes Combat Simulations and Combat Sims
Prophet4no1 replied to T-Bone's topic in Chit-Chat
I really liked the Janes collection. They started me in sims with ATF. Granted not that advanced, but a perfect gateway drug. Lead to the Longbow sims, F-15, and Fleet Command. Also had a few WW2 ones tossed in the mix as well as Jetfighter 2 and 3. But, the one that grabbed me the most was F4. Something about having the huge binder in my hands at the store just told me this was going to be the end all be all. In some regards it still is. DCS is great, and I think will be even better over time. But, F4 and it's dynamic campaign is still one of the best combat experiences I have ever had. I still fire it up from time to time just to relive being 16 again. -
any one know what the gauge above your head is for in BS? I know it's not functional in game, but what is it for in the real Ka-50?
-
Little more on the no head movement and the ancient runways please. Is the no head movement to stop the game from moving and bobbing the camera? Do I need this for trackIR (mine arrives tomorrow)? I'm guessing the ancient runways makes them in that blocky style I've seen in vids of Russian fighters.
-
So what are the must haves for DCS:BS? I'm not looking for conversions and really major stuff. Just the little things that really enhance the experiance or are good options to tailor the experiance.

Collective/Throttle movement reversal
Prophet4no1 replied to hollywoody's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Other than what I posted, as far as your pors vs cons, there really is none. this is all about personal preffernce. I use push for adding collective. This makes it more comfortable in most flight situations. Since I'm between 30-70% most times it puts the HOTAS in a more comfortable possition for use at my desk. -
Collective/Throttle movement reversal
Prophet4no1 replied to hollywoody's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I think he meant the throttle of the HOTAS. Not the aircraft throttle. As far as that goes, in the controls section of the menu go to the axis area in the drop down box at top of window (should be in red text) and then select the collective and click the tune axis button. There is a check box there to reverse the axis. Now when you move the HOTAS throttle up, collective drops, back increases collective. -
If you have Google Toolbar installed you can just click translat and you are don in about .5 seconds. I like turn three, "Swim Paccific Ocean." I better take some lessons before I try.

Quick tip for X52 owners
Prophet4no1 replied to Prophet4no1's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
That would mean more dev time and as a resault, cost more. Not a bad thing for us, but kinda screws there market are they are shooting for. I know people that picked up the X52 just to play Battlefield2 and use on the jets in it. A bit of overkill if you ask me. -
I got spooked by a anti tank missle shot by a BTR once. I did not even know they where equiped with them, let alone could shoot them at me. I did a rocket strafing run on a group, rolled out and as I got some distance I heard the whoosh shound and then an object flying in front of me that blew up on the hill side! No warning, just the sound of the missile.

I think acuratly doing water flow simulation would be very stressfull on the system. Not likely for some time I think.
-
Once my TrackIR shows up, I may not have to do that any more.
-
What about the back up ADI? Isn't that controled by the INU? Mine goes bonkers during long flights. At one point the herison was upside down and the aircraft marker was banked at about 80 degrees while in level flight.

I come in at an angle like the others, but also open the door when I get close. Makes it a lot easier to see the ground and the pad.

Sidewinder wheel pedals as rudder control
Prophet4no1 replied to dustbros's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Unless you can combine both pedals as one axis there is no way to do it. The rudder must be on a single axis. -
But this s not simulated in game?
-
So the keyboard is cool, but kinda useless to try and learn with. Thanks anyway. I've been playing with the site that was linked. To bad Roseta Stone costs so much. I would get that.

Sidewinder wheel pedals as rudder control
Prophet4no1 replied to dustbros's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
If it works like my Logitech ones, just co into controle panle and click the check box that says something like "combine both pedals on same axis". It kinda works then, but because the two peddles move indapendant of each other it really does not work well as a rudder controle.
