So, car you have engine failure if you do not wait for the engines to heat up before taking off? I mean if you rush through everything and go? I can get the engines burning in about 1.5min if I don't worry about all the extra sub systems and just get enough on to let me fly.

They have in the past. I just called customer support and new pots where in my mail box a few days later. It's been a few years since I've needed to do that. In fact, I think it was my X36 I did that with. Has the customer support gone down that much?

I have the slidder issue too. I've thought about calling Saitek to have them send me a new one and replacing it.

there are only, what two areas in the game you come across zombies. The Most of the fighting is with other Stalkers or a handful of monsters. But I would say 80% is against the stalkers. And some of that fighting can be really intense. They will flank and use cover and can quit easily kill you with a good burst of fire.

Next time I play stalker I'll have one of they guys stop shooting for a min to write it down. :p

Actually a free way to learn a bit of russian would be nice. At least enough to get the jist of what I'm hearing. Seems like more and more of my games are in russina these days.

I don't think pedals are a must. That would be ideal but the twist on my X52 is working for me jsut fine. I'm getting a Track IR first. In fact my order should be placed this weekend.

My Q6600 out scored the uber system on 3D Mark Vantage. But it destroyed my in graphics area. The ubber system was an i7 but I do not recall what one off hand. Bang for your buck the q6600 is one of the best chips if you can find one. You can overclock the crap out of it as long as you have a good mobo and cooling.

Vista64 seems to use hardly any CPU. When running DCS cores 0 and 2 are around 70-80% load and cores 1 and 3 are at about 15-20% load. If I open a second DCS all four cores are at about 80-90% load.

I was wondering if any one can translate a bit of russian for me. In the game STALKER you hear a phrasse that sounds something like "brakey brakey". That's probly not right. It's some kind of a taunt I'm guessing. And also one that sounds like "brushni brow." I hope those are close enough. Thanks in advance.

I have a quad core but DCS only uses two.

Pretty much any Spec Ops from any country. But the one that impressed me most was the Israeli Defence Force Commando the had on Fight Science. That guy is a bad @ss. In one of the tests they held him at gun point, to the face. He moved his head aside, stripped the gun, punched the guy in the head, and had the gun turn on him before he could even flinch. And in the shooting test, he was faster and more accurate after the put him on a tread mill in a plastic sweat suit and under heat lamps. It was nuts. The Seal was pretty good too. They froze him in a tank of ice water for his shooting/movement test.

I love the HL games. Lots of fun and great story. And yeah, the gunship dose kinda look like a Hind.

I have a Q6600 quad core at 2.69ghz. For some odd reason, If I go any higher windows fails to load. Have not figured out why yet.

This makes me wonder why Falcon4.0 is the only one with a real time dynamic campaign. I would love something like that in DCS! The only other good dynamic campaign I remember was in Longbow2.

Well, according to the info given in the US it's DX11 only and not out yet. I've been waiting for a realease date......
