I find my self patriotic towards my land in the US at times but i gota say that who ever doesnt know needs to know the cold war is over. I dont give a rats ass if some american plane isnt in this game and no one else should either. I am sure the devs are doing all they can to afford an opertunity to make this the best game they can within means while taking advantage of everything they can. If that m eans no more american flyables for next two years who cares I dont? I would rather they wait do what they can and when the american military askes them to start doing things for them and supporting ED then things will be seen. Do you think thats some crazy thing that couldnt happen? Well I can assure you that the american military has worked with UBI and redstorm in the creation of rouge spear titles and ghost recon. It was wide spread news that the military was useing rouge spear black thorn and other rougespear chapters as mandatory training lessons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I really didnt mean to quote that other guy and reply directly you him at all. I thought id just take this opertunity to give my opinion and more optimisum. thanks

There was someone who asked this awhile ago and a bunch of cool website were put up, Well i had to rebuild os and lost them all so im looking a a site that was shut down cant remember name but was blue and he said he would keep it up for us so we can download stuff etc etc. can you guys post some lock on websites. I mean these are ones made by individuals or clans

i dont think any of those games games require you to buy a decent stick like a x45 or soop up your computer abit so you can feel like your playing the game at a decent effects level. that could equal around 400 bucks for me but i really cant put full blame to lock on for upgradeing my video card and ram other reasons cause me to do that also. But hey I love it good to see more people might pull the trigger on this game in the future.

thats a nasty bug for sure my 9600 xt doesnt do that im useing cats 4.9 with a 2.3ghz nforce 2 system 1 gb of corsair strange stuff

You can assume that no western publisher will pick it up. So no. Download is very likely to be the only way. I live in the states , just dled half life 2 last week and used my ati voucher and key . I had no problems with that. Id be very happy to wire ED the money for this add on so they will be able to take advantage of the currency exchange rate. :)

will ed include a saitek profile in with 1.1 like they did with 1.02? will there be one for the x45 and one for the x52?

most factory add ons are half the size of the original game or smaller

What i have done. increase your page file size to 3 gigs 3000 esp with 1 gb of memory it might be a good idea to increase page file to 3000 if you only have 512 of ram. Clean up your harddrive . defrag and do an offline defrag with perfect disk or something like that. run chkdisk or scandisk. This is important : go to my computer right click , go to properties and click advanced then click environment variables. delete all variables in box boxs. some variables are old and redundant and will not reappear. This has fixed stupid memory pop ups events like this. reboot since i have done this now i have made 4 experiments and have played lock on 5 times and have not recieved this error since. I started getting the error after uninstalling old 512 memory and installed 1 gb of new corsair memory. Memroy passes all memtest 86 tests.

if the russians have such a missile who am i as a civilian to suggest that any military have a rule not to equip any of thier planes with a restricted payload. THAT SEEMS UNREALISTIC TO ME. If the military has a missile that will fit on a plane I would assume it might be on that plane. So yes i voted yes

bump I have taken to flying and practicing in these aircraft alot recently, and I use ecm only after I have recieved a launch warning, there is no point increasing your profile in these aircraft until it is necessary to dodge an incoming missile, also due to aircraft using HOJ, you want to prevent them using this ability to launch their missiles, this is very important when attacked by AMRAAM capable aircraft. You can use your ecm when you are in a HOT SAM area to reduce pk from lock to launch, it is possible that you may not recieve a launch warning, but a SAM launch is usually quite easy to spot, so with practice and plenty of SA this should not be a problem to you. ( you may want to re-think your use of ecm in SAM zones when you know there are enemy planes around, but then should you have entered a SAM engagement zone when there are air threats around?? ) Hope this is useful :D

But us dollars are worth big bucks in the conversion to russion dollars. sorry im lazy

i love the su33 and the su 27 but i would also like to see another hot US plane in the mix.

bump if you fly the su27 or 33 how are you useing ecm and what have been your results.? I am very interested in learning how to use ecm in the f15 also but at this time only fly the 27 and 33 thanks :)

uhhh alt p is the legit default spin recovery tool. check your COMAND sheet print outs in the game cd. :partyman:

i have been dabbeling with lock since day 1 and am trying to get serious with it now. I do appreciate this game and its cutting edge not to mention the great gamble and work that went into it for a bunch of well my self included newbies to this caliber of a flight sim. One tip i can give and maybe the devs will confirm this but i think a big thing people dont do is that they load an operateing system but do not increase the size of thier page file. No patch from MS does this for you you have to do it your self. Now MS even recommends more than 2 gigs for your page file. A stock 2000 pro or xp install is only 500 mb correct me if im wrong :) page file is the green part of defrag in win 2000. i suspect the xp owners with thier memory hogging operateing system would really benifit. and thats not enough do a OFFLINE defrag too not just defrag in windows. My only problem with the game so far is flashing textures at the end of a runway sometimes. xp2400 11x210 corsair 1gb ram 833 2.5 dual c albatron kx18d pro 2 9600 xt 591/343 ati tray tools maybe that would help? Im sure the demand for this game will grow.

i have rarley got to use it and dont know yet its full mimits at this time a 10 km limit is news to me. As for making it view or something out of a computer screen limits i would think would be too unfair to do. It is a computer game after all not a 5000 dollar game with a projector screen on your living room wall. imho

well i cant reinstall the memory i had cause i sold it actually they were unmatched pairs of 2 x 256. i havent tried just one stick of the new corsair yet because im 300 miles away from it..... will try saterday.

ah great someone has seen it the problem sorry i didnt make it more clearer. hmmmm since the problem started right after i put new memory in. I have since defraged and cleaned up my drive. i might try some tweaking i dont know maybe ill live with it ....im not going to change this computer for several months i hope. thanks :?

ill admit reading the read me for 1.02 is now on my short list but as your were saying ......i understand that they can lock on my ecm ......my problem is understanding the priciples in useing it in the first place and how to use it effectivly in battle. My first impression after reading your post is to not even think about useing ecm but it must be good for something? :?:

im probley going to play ghost recon 2 , they are dropping the emenance has eliminated "enemy" from the game play so no confermation will be given on a kill. since i have been play rouge spear and ghost recon from the binning arounbd 1998 I am kinda going to be missing the confirmation as i am very used to getting it esp useing explosives around blind corners or something. really i havent made up my mind about it. regarding lock on since i am a new serious player a confirmation of a kill seems to me not something so very important since i usually get visual confirmation anyway .....true i still kinda suck but sometimes i pull off some amazing kills after shaking an enemy and his missles.....however there are sometimes when your just not quite so sure about a hit and most times they are in far site but just not sure maybe they still can fly ya know? im glad you guys are adding confirmation but im probley not as happy to see it as sorry i am to miss it in ghost recon. owell just my thoughts
