  1. This behaviour still exists as of DCS 2.9.3.51704 - 22.02.2024
  2. Just to confirm this behaviour still exists as of DCS 2.9.2.49629 Open Beta - 19.12.2023
  3. Very possibly, I certainly noticed it with 2.9 but it might have been introduced a couple of minor patches before. Either way though, definitely a change and a frustrating one at that!
  4. Hi all, Since the latest patch, if using the IAT to track a target, and another track becomes dropped (either destroyed or otherwise lost), then IAT will stop tracking the IAT track it was on. I've tried to record a track file of this, but the track replay did not accurately represent what I was seeing live, so I've uploaded both the track file and also a video of me recording that track file. Key thing to note in the video: Have both IAT Tracks 1 and 2, actively tracking Track 1 Target of Track 2 is destroyed by a hellfire, which after a few seconds results in Track 2 being dropped BUG: When track 2 is dropped, IAT also stops tracking Track 1. Track 1 isn't dropped, but IAT stops actively tracking it. IAT Tracking Bug.trk
  5. I have to agree with the others, George as Pilot is now unusable at speeds < 40kts since 2.9 - previous versions have been fine, but with the latest patch, George massively over-controls the rudder resulting in oscilations in yaw in the hover, resulting in weapon employment issues. Below is my example; this is done with an admittedly moderate wind (about 20kts at the surface and 40kts at altitude), but the results are similar, and sometimes even worse, with benign winds. Track attached. Heading Oscillations in winds.trk
  6. Agreed, can sometimes be extremely bright with the TADS on, so much so it makes seeing the actual TADS image difficult to see. null
  7. Would it be possible to have Pilot George gently touch the aircraft down when in H-B with the radalt height set to zero feet? In the interest of both good CRM between human CPG's and Pilot George, as well as for the benefit of front-seaters who can't actually fly helicopters, it would be useful if Pilot George could be tempted to land the aircraft. This can sometimes be done by going to radalt height 0 in H-B mode, but this sometimes results in George floating a couple feet above the pad. This then requires you to either switch to the rear seat (resulting in an ungraceful powercut and plonking it down onto the pad), or to try and coax George down with a bit of a rear slide which grounds the tailwheel (resulting in an ungraceful powercut and plonking it down onto the pad).
  8. Hey all - most likely a stupid question, however I've been able to setup Streamdeck Profiles for the clickable cockpit. However, not everything that I'd like to get setup is clickable in the flight deck (for example, on the Apache a decent number of controls such as throttle, pilot WAS switches, IHADSS symbology select) aren't clickable, but are keybind'able. To get those functions working on a StreamDeck, is the only option to map the hotkey? Would be nice to do it without first needing to set up a whole bunch of keybindings (for some reason, my Apache install didn't have any default keybindings, so most things are not bound to the keyboard but directly to the stick)
  9. Sounds unusual, but you should be able to reposition your viewpoint with Right Shift + Right Control + Numpad 5 by default. You should also be able to reposition yourself as you desire using the following: Right Shift + Right Control + and... Numpad 4+6: Left & Right Numpad 8+2: Up & Down Numpad * + /: Forwards & Aft If you play in VR, you may also need to recenter your view using Numpad 5 on its own.
  10. One observation here, if you have TADS selected as your acquisition source, when you scroll up and down the target list, the Cued LOS Marker (Acquisition Source location) on your IHADSS will move to the location of each target as you highlight them, and George aims the TADS at them. In this situation, you'd be able to see that George was aiming at the friendly APC's approaching the refinery as opposed to a hostile APC inside of it, prior to confirming the target / giving consent to fire. Of course, the problem comes when George has free ROE, and there's only one target, so you don't even get given the opportunity to confirm prior to him lasing & storing. In that case... well, god help you. For that reason, I never let George have free ROE on a multiplayer server - nothing quite like him taking a random potshot at another Apache with a hellfire...
  11. I'm assuming this is a sim limitation (the fact that there are not charts available at all scales, whereas in the real world there might/should be?), but I wonder how the real aircraft handles in this situation? For me, it makes more sense as I keep zooming in for the closest available scale chart to keep showing, rather than showing a blank screen (e.g. to keep the 1:500k chart showing as you keep zooming in beyond that scale). Would be nice if that was selectable, perhaps as an option in the settings, to bridge the gap between reality and the limitations of the sim.
  12. @baltic_dragon Previously, I would declare "Tiger" and then nothing really would happen - I'd get one update to the location of F14, but then that's it - no lockup, no missle launch, no further updates. I'd try and find the F14 on the radar, couldn't even find it - would then fly around until I ran out of fuel. On the other hand, my last playthrough I declared "Joker", within a few moments a missle launch was then declared, a bit of commentary about them being cowards, and then the option to RTB and conclude the mission. Please note, I'm playing on the latest stable version of DCS - I guess the changes you've made might only be on the latest open beta?
  13. Just to add my two cents, have experienced the same issue twice having selected Tiger - will select Joker instead and see what happens, and will report back.
  14. Managed to get mine to 140+ bars. Was great, could see people behind me!
  15. This is a genius idea, and would be much more immersive! I'm also a big fan of BMGZ06's suggestion that the clickpoint could also be used to trigger other kinds of gesticulations in-flight.
