Got it. Thanks. Now Windows Firewall blocks the download due to potential virus. Need to work on that.

Hi, I can no longer launch DCS because the DCS.exe file has been deleted by my antivirus! I've tried a repair but it doesn't work! What can I do, please?

For the record, it's rarely the firewall that's the issue in this type of case. It's almost always that the anti-virus that thinks some file(s) are suspicious. -

Hi all, I'm retuning after a long absence... I'm running of fresh install of DCS. All is fine and I get a some fluid flights... except the loading time at start to get to the home screen knowing that I've set the program to bypass the Launcher. Start from desktop: 00 sec Login screen : 40 sec Nvidia ad creen: 42 sec DCS splash screen: 42 sec DCS home screen: 76 sec My PC: i7-14700KF, 32 Gb DDR5, 1.8 Tb SSD, RTX 4070Ti Super 16 Gb, Windows 11 I attach the log. I read the forum and already tried: - Full repair of DCS through the Launcher - Excluded \Program Files\Eagle Dynamics in my virus scanner settings (Win 11 default anti-virus) - Excluded \Saved Games\DCS\ - Deleted \Saved Games\DCS\ - Preload radius set to 50 000 instead of 150 000 (even if you see 150 000 in the current log) - Disabled completely antivirus ... to no avail. dcs.log

Hi Use the manage settings in the virus and threat protection settings Add your dcs install folder to the exceptions. run a slow repair of dcs

There's never a need to reinstall DCS, a full repair is basically a full reinstallation. You could try one thing rename your DCS folder in Saved Games. If that doesn't help, just rename it back. Have you excluded DCS in your Anti-Virus solution? Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

Thanks for the quick reply...I dont have anti virus. I chose cancel and reselected the F14 to download and install. I get this error message. Attached latest log file dcs.log

Don't mess with the firewall. It's got nothing to do with Anti-Virus. Look at Rudel's picture. Basically it's under settings and security. Maybe just search in the settings for "exclusions". Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

The virus vendors spend two weeks before they whitelist. This has been discussed before. So I'm not so sure they do it automatically. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

Same issue for me, after excluding DCS Server folder from windows defender everything works. I don't like to exclude any folder from Virus Scan, please fix

Probably your anti-virus blocking something. Check it hasn't quarantined it. -
Long boot times is often related to your Anti-virus scanning stuff as it's loading in.
