Are people doing this in 3d Max 2008 (if yes where do you get the models from?), or something else? Just wondering if there was a faster way to check out custom skin work you have done without launching the game every time. Sorry if this has been discussed before, just getting into skinning myself...

You can use Modelviewer for Skin check... It is included to 1.1.0.9 patch , you can find it it bin folder.

Unzip and put this batch file in your main folder, then run ModelViewer from it.

ModelViewer.zip

If it needs to be said this batch file is NOT for standalone modelviewer, it's to run the modelviewer bundled in your DCS installation, which is really the only version you need. Running versions newer than your current DCS version is pointless.

I have the batch file working in 3 separate and different versions of DCS, so it does work. :)
