Schleudi Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Unfortunately it did not solve the problem. As soon as I recieve a transmission, the light goes on and TS quits. I have a dmp-file, if that is any help. I unpushed all the buttons (not just Horizon) too, but no luck. The options in the "Game Master" were reset after I restarted TS, if that makes any sense. It would be helpful for us to know how your setup looks like. e.g. - Operating system? - TS3 version? - Has the Aries software been installed with administrator rights? - Has the Aries software been started with administrator rights? etc ... Mr. White Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Win7pro 64bit TS 3.0.16 Aries has been installed with administrator rights. TS crashes (with its internal error message and the link to the dmp-file) ... 1. ... as soon as I receive a transmission. The transmission-light goes on and TS crashes. 2. ... when I simply open the AriesGossipBox.exe (DCS not started and the TS client not even connected). In Eavesdropper mode TS does not crash. My buddy uses the same TS version and can hear me without his TS crashing, so it's definitely a local problem. I'm only running out of ideas what to try next. Thx again for your help.
Falcon_S Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 I confirm TS crashes sometimes. Can I ask how to join (start) DCS without Aries if is installed and be on TS with friends? Mr. White Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I confirm TS crashes sometimes. Can I ask how to join (start) DCS without Aries if is installed and be on TS with friends? You can disable Aries manually in the Export.lua file or you can use the Aries-menu in TeamSpeak (Plugins/Aries Radio/Export.lua entry on/off). You can further more generally disable the plugin in TeamSpeak.
towsim Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 @Mr.White I had a look to the source code and compared your description with the situation during a reception. The blue light is controlled by TeamSpeak and indicates an incoming voice package. The only critical action in Aries at that moment is the receiver quality check. The quality check includes even the horizon calculation, which has the reported bug.Furthermore, if the Eavesdropper is active, the quality check I passed by. These all points to the quality check. When you unpushed all the buttons, did you push the send button after all? Only if the send button is pushed, the changes become active. The new configuration is not stored in version 1.973. Therefore you find the old configuration with the next start. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I meant the green light on the Aries radio panel, but as both lights (Aries panel + TS) are illuminating simultaneously when there is an incoming voice package, I guess it's not relevant. Just wanted to clarify that. Other then that, I have done what you've said more then just once. I disabled all the buttons and pushed "send". But I will give it a try again, just to be 100% sure, that no one was accidentally transmitting while me operating in the options menu or anything. Ok, the fact that the old configuration apprears after restart is not an indicator of something being wrong - that rules another thing out. What about the fact, that my TS client crashes (although being disconnected) only after I start the Gossip Box? Does that lead to any other conclusion maybe?
towsim Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 @Mr.White OK, let’s go one step deeper. Please activate the protocol function in the GossipBox configurator (GBO configurator) and in the Airborne Radio configurator (ARD configurator). Both programs have a check mark to enable the protocol message file generation. Then start the Aries Software to provoke the crash. You should do it one time with the GossipBox and one time with DCS and Aries enabled. You find the resulting HTML files at: C:\Program Files\AriesWings\GossipBox\AriesGossipBox_log.html And DCS World\AriesWings\logs\AriesAirborneRadio_log.html Please send the files together with the TS dump files to support@ariescon.com. Dejjvid Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 (edited) The total output of the TS3 server (including OS) was 1.3 MB peak when all 50 players did the stress test. But, I've actually got 3 virtual servers, and the other servers had 50-70 people on them when we tested. So total output for 50 players is even lower. CPU load peaked at 7% on the core with the highest load. And I have 100/100 mb/s fiber. The conclusion after the stress test is the architecture of TS3 doesn't scale as well. I don't know if it's codec related, or it is "flawed" by design. People mentioned that they switch to mumble when they need a lot of simultaneous users. Using a preset channel structure on TS (one for each net), and some how make Aries send to different channels is one way to solve the TS3 limitation. The other one would be scrapping TS3 and go all in on Mumble. Another annoying "feature" was the spamming of Invalid ClientID. I set tickets to 1 and 99998/99999 (was 5/100000/100000) and some still got that. On 132nd TS it's actually the default TS3 settings for anti-flood, and I don't believe the issue came to light on that test (32 players). Schleudi Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 I think that we have found a solution to the problem. In future, we will connect the voice packages closer to our own application. That way we could avoid some limitations of the TS server. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] http://ariescon.com Aries YouTube channel
SNAFU Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 FYI: In version 1.955 I do not get contact with red EWR system for GCI, while flying the MiG-21Bis. When I disable the lua-entry in export.lua, EWR answers again. AWACS and other planes do not seem to have the issue. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Unsere Facebook-Seite

SNAFU Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 No issues in 1.973beta? That`s good. Thanks for the info. Currently some squadmembers have a lot of issues with 1.973beta, so we stay with 1.955 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Unsere Facebook-Seite

After endless tests and reinstallations of ARS and TS, we finally got rid of the TS crash. I can say that mainly the hint from Chichco lead to the solution: start everything as admin. Well, it's here right under your nose and you just can't see it, can you? Thx for your support everybody. We are only running into the spam-blocker-feature on our TS server, but from what I read we only have to adjust the options and we should be fine.

Esac_mirmidon Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Of Course.... First: You need someone in your squad with TS admin rights. Second: Go to your team speak Main Server Channel, right mouse clic on it/ Edit Virtual Server Third: Edit the Anti-Flood section like this. Fourth: Go to Server Groups And type in the search box filter Flood. Then with double left mouse clic activate the tip in both antiflood settings like the pic. Last: Now you would test TS channels one by one. In the same window before, go to Channel Permissions, type flood in the filter and be sure that the line b_client_ignore_antiflood is marked in every channel you use. If not, double left click to mark it. Thats all. If you need extra help please PM again. Cheers 1 " You must think in russian.." Rossi Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 hi im in need of some help installing Aries , ive done a clean install of TS3 with Admin and im trying too install Aries with Admin but the Install wont run its keeps throwing up a Error code :- The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click ok to close the application. ive tryed re-downloading it 3 times now and installing it i dont no how many different ways but keep doing the same thing? Thanks Rossi [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
towsim Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 @Rossi It is a bit hard to determine, what’s going on. Which application shows the error message? DCS, Aries Wings or TeamSpeak. In any case, in the folder, where SetUp.exe was started, you will find a file named AirborneRadioInstaller_log.html. The content can be shown with the internet explorer. If anything was wrong during the installation, you will find it there in. Regarding the administrator rights, even DCS and TeamSpeak must be started with administrator rights. You can set this item permanently in the desktop icon’s properties. If all this does not help, send the following files to support@ariescon.com : [setupFolder]\ AirborneRadioInstaller_log.html DCS World\AriesWings\logs\ AriesAirborneRadio_log.html C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\plugins\AriesRadio\AriesRadioLog_log.html C:\Users\[your username]\Saved Games\DCS\Logs\ dcs.log If exists: C:\Users\[your username]\Saved Games\DCS\Logs\DCS-20150214-150614.crash I will try to find the reason for the crash.
