Why was the password added, and where can we get it?

It was added for event. Will bring up upassworded server in 10 minutes

Interesting stats. Eekz is there any way you can provide some data on red vs blue in terms of who's getting ground kills and meeting the scenario's objectives?

Planning to do that.

Also interesting the extreme lopsidedness of Red vs Blue air to air kills...but makes sense given how much more superior the 109 is to the Mustang.

The problem is that in current mission setup 99% of fights are low altitude where P-51 is not as good as at high alt.

This is complicated task to make a playable mission with high alt fights for public server but I'll try. It's a priority, as event fights at high alt showed up to be completely different thing than we used to

New version of the mission at the server.

Main changes:

- Season has been changed to autumn

- Red and Blue targets 1 have been reworked and protected by AAA.

- Labels has been disabled for ground units.

- Max labels range for aircraft has been reduced to 8km

AAA defense of all targets has been reduced to some extent (reduced caliber) to motivate AG activity.

I'm making mobile app (based on Android, 5.0 LolliPop ) for Burning Skies Server.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Statistics will be turned off during Burning Skies Open Kurfurst tournament and will be reset after the end of the tournament.

Best pilots of the covered season (july - semptember 2016) in various nominations will be posted in this thread before the stat reset.

I have a question. Yesterday I flew on the server and I have noticed that I could see Nicknames and plane names from the distance, as well as distance to them.

More than 20km was a dot. At 20km it started to state the name of the plane. Then the plane disapeared, no name, no nothing. Then at about 5km the airplane showed up again and name tag was visible together with all other details. At 1km everything disapeared and I had no more feedback on what the airplane was doing.

I flew with two people that day. One had it the same way as I did, while the other had real issues finding anything in the sky.

My question is... was it a bug, or is it a feature?

PS. I had no such problems on ACG server.

It's labels enforcement bug. Sometimes server fails to enforce labels as it's set in the mission. I reported that to ED a while ago.

Restarting the game should help.

This is a major issue and one that I think needs to be fixed by going back to imposters. The label enforcement bug gives a MASSIVE advantage to those who have it...further exacerbating the edges already given to 109 pilots.

Full labels while flying the 109 is a guarantee of a phenomenal K/D ratio and a miserable time for P-51D pilots.

Eekz, I understand why you went to the labels regarding the unrealistic nature of spotting distances with imposters, but this is becoming a serious issue. I like the labels because it means I can ID the ground targets easier, but when you have full labels on few can be as noble as Solty and expect NOT to leverage the advantage they are randomly gifted.

I've just made some ajustments to the labels.lua forced by the server hardcoding label setting in a more detailed way. It's very likely that it should work as walkaround for the above mentioned bug.

From now on if you see detailed labels again please report me asap.

Seems it worked. No labels issues has been faced by me so far :)

Yep, but currently I'm a little short on time to look into it. Probably a some time later.
