jojyrocks
GBU 10 can't seem to be dropped from Hornet. Rest of the 12 and 16 drops and follows fine. On the F-14, the GBU 10 and 24 drops but does not follow laser.

ED Team BIGNEWY Posted November 14, 2019 ED Team Share Posted November 14, 2019 I've tested GBU-10 with a target at high altitude and all seem ok. I do have a bug reported for targets at high altitude and JDAM's it could be related. thanks for the report. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Drac
The attached mission is one where the target is at a high altitude. Laser guided weapons seems to miss. Drac @BigNewy: Please fly this mission (Post 3) again using GBU-12 (double rack). Works ok with GBU-10...but misses with GBU-12s. Thanks...Drac
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted November 14, 2019 ED Team Share Posted November 14, 2019 Hi just had a look in the mission, I was using GBU-12 dual rack and was hitting targets ok. There is some very strong winds in the mission at altitude which is making gbu-12 work a lot harder to keep on target. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? QuiGon
It's good practice to not activate the laser too early, as the bomb then bleeds a lot of energy to correct it's flight path (because of its so called bang-bang steering). In my experience activating the laser 10-15 seconds before impact works well. There is some very strong winds in the mission at altitude which is making gbu-12 work a lot harder to keep on target. Please do one more test using the mission in Post 3. Using the GBU-12 (double rack), only target the SAM launchers (multiple) and the truck with the AAA in the back (cannot recall the official name). I am still missing them...laser on at 13 seconds. Thanks...Drac
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted November 14, 2019 ED Team Share Posted November 14, 2019 is the wind still very high? from memory 40 - 50 knot winds in the mission. add a track replay and I can watch what you do. jojyrocks
I am sorry to say...F-14 GBU 10 is following OK, except the F-18 which wont even drop it. It was my mistake launching it too early or late. So far the 12 and 16 work smoothly. The only confirmed problem for me is GBU 24, which does not follow the laser. jojyrocks
I've also found another strange problem with the AV-8B laser guided bomb following issue. The bomb follows fine but it does not hit the locked target. Its like the laser bounces of target and falls some feet away from it. It follows Ok, though. Looks more like a TGP issue for AV-8B. Laser seem to bounce of targets like command center, Bunkers. I use the stable version of DCS, never the Beta. Steam support version.
jojyrocks
After the latest updates. My bugs have been cleared except the GBU 24 which never follows laser from F-14, and the AV-8B Targeting pod laser bouncing off target, making the LGB bombs miss some few feets away, off target. QuiGon
The GBU-24 has not been properly implemented in DCS yet. It's WIP and is still awaiting its proper implementation.
