1.2.7 Updater Issue: 64bit, 32bit, WTFrogfoot????

At first my issue started similar to GunghoGW's, where my updater keeps crapping staying in initialization phase while it updates itself. It happens after a fresh reinstall, which I keep doing hoping something new happens. I have to restart my computer to get anything to work properly since it effectively freezes my computer (can describe upon request). But I have a different issue altogether when it does start.

I am perfectly able to play DCS using launcher.exe, but i can't use the updater for this absolutely senseless, retarded reason that I cannot figure out what is wrong with.

I have totally up-to-date legit copy of Windows 7 64 bit. I honsely have no idea what to do. My directory is as follows:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\updater.exe

I tried in Program files normal as well as x86, but it seems to not wish to work. I tried turning Malwarebytes and Bitdefender off (Bitdefender as much as I could, bdagent.exe cannot be disabled as part of the antivirus protection), but it stays immobile. I am absolutely certain because I checked the processes tab in Task manager, the two updater .exe's stayed at ~5000k and ~3000k physical memory usage for three hours. They didn't even change approx CPU usage. Only after reinstalling my game can I get the updater to even run.

The only thing I haven't tried is installing DirectX and visual C++ with the game, which i assumed i didn't have to do since I have those up to date as of now. Gonna try that and return to you guys, if anybody has a solution please post it.

EDIT: Nope, same problem. I am forced to restart windows after updater starts working and then stops (which I suspect has something to do with it, but I can't figure out how to get it to work in the first place, so.....).

This time, however, I got a rather amusing "This program is not responding" window labeled Microsoft Windows

Does anybody have any sort of answer? I can't turn bitdefender off all the way and I tried this with BD and Malwarebytes off with a reinstall count into the double digits now and quite possibly some grey hairs at age 18.

I´m relative sure it IS youre installed Bitdefender and/or Malwarebytes:

The DCS_updater.exe already got corrupted and therefore you can`t update even if you have BD deactivated.

Good Eye Eagle. I believe swooped right down to the issue. IMHO that is.
