Anyone that would prefer the entire (mostly) English cockpit I've updated the description.lua. The file is JSGME ready and can be download here . To be clear, all the files are included in the Mig-21 install but for some reason the entries are commented out in the description.lua. I've been flying with this mod for two days with no issues.

They're commented out because they're old and we didn't have time to update them to the new UVs and with new layers.

 

Note e.g. the bezels or radar mode buttons (tops are black). :)

 

However, these are small details, so its no biggie I guess.

It's just a temp work around until you guys finish.

 

Please use the RU version dds in the zip file not directly work on the ones in english folder. English version has many old UV map. Moreoever, the 001(E).dds cannot be loaded from english folder but only from RU zip file (tuned the lua, didn't work yet)

Moreoever, the low alt set knob cannot be loaded from english folder but only RU zip file (tuned the lua, didn't work yet), even you copied the ru file and put it into english folder after modification. BTW, we have finished China J-7 locale cockpit translation already. ;)

my eng is really poor. Which dds files did you work on, eng ones or rus ones?

 

That's what I thought you were asking but wasn't sure. Yes I worked on the English lua located in:

 

DCS World\Mods\aircraft\MiG-21BIS\Liveries\Mig-21_CP\english

 

I also didn't use every line in the english, it is pulling most of the textures from the default folder. The bold lines below are what I removed the "--" from so they pull those files.

Can you quickly try this one {"MiG-21_CP_001", 0 ,"Mig-21-cockpit_001.tga",false}? I cannot load this one from english folder, even I used the default dds file (which means system always load 001.tga.dds from default zip file), this is the only thing appeared as Russian in the cockpit.
