[DCS: Mi-8MTV2] More Visible Fan Blades

:D I couldn't help myself. I tried this mod. Maybe current one is more realistic.

I modified contrast values of Alpha channel of propeller DDS file.

There's no any conflict with my mod, because latest version of English cockpit doesn't use this file. Maybe you got warning about the folder name that being used by both mods, I don't know.

 

There's nothing to be worry. Just install the mod and enjoy.

If problem persists, please send me a error text or screenshot.

I'm using V1.8a from the user files here. I get a Warning from JSGME but it does not show a file conflict with any other MOD.

Strange. Is V1.8a the latest version of English cockpit for the MI-8?

Yes, v1.8a is the latest one.

 

Probably, that warning was for that two mods are placed same folder. I don't know, but what I'm sure is that there's no any file conflicting each other. Don't worry be happy™ and ignore the warning mate. :)

You can actually notice the blades while the fan is spinning.

Mmm. I'm not sure I can make this effect. You know, it's about the capture ability of the camera in that video.

 

In DCS World, everything is different.

 

By the way, it looks like that the blades in your Mi-8 are rotating faster and cooling better, man. What do you want more? :D

It's the placebo effect....it feels too cold now when I'm flying the Hip in DCS ;-) Especially since we always fly in the Caucasus miuntains....

 

 

Edit: Just as a side note - when I first commented on it, I only saw the screenshots. Now, in game and rotating, mod#2 looks perfect to me.

Seeing the blades is more of a Camera Shutter Speed Effect.

Thanks a lot for your additional work. They look indeed funny. I'm not yet sure which one I prefer. Like SkateZilla said, seing the blades probably really is more of a Camera Shutter Speed Effect. Actually I simply have both in JSGME, so I can switch and decide later with which ones I'll stay.
