Joystick assignments -> game crashes

I just bought this beautiful bird. I have a little problem with the joystick assignments. Every time I try to change them, the game crashes. Help!

I can confirm this problem. Same happend to me in DCS 2.0.2.52369 everytime i try to add/change button-bindings on my Warthog Hotas Throttle.

Joystick assignments works in DCS 1.5.3 without any problems.

As a first pass, why don't you try deleting your C:/Users/[you]/Saved Games/DCS.openalpha/(input or config/input)/M-2000C folder. You will need to rebind your controls, unfortunately, but that's the game we play with alpha software.

Report back with results please!

I know this isn't necessarily helping , but binding keys works fine for me, it could be something specific to your profile in <Saved Games>

I'm with T A. I have no problem binding my controls as well. However, I generally redo my controls from scratch after each update with beta modules.

Only issue is the gear toggle (already reported) and the missing parking brake toggle.

and 2.0.2.52369.64) if you change controls in single player while in the cockpit, the crash does not occur.

After todays update I could not map any keys without crashing. I tried your recommendation and it worked!

I just bought this module yesterday. I loaded into DCS 1.5.x (the latest, whatever number that is) and joined a MP training server, then i remembered i had to bind keys first :doh:. Went back to the menu and went to options > controls. For around 15 minutes i kept trying to bind/unbind different key binds, it wouldn't allow any changes at all to be made to the controls without DCS crashing after pressing ok to save.

Eventually i just deleted the following folder, as Teeter suggested, "C:\Users\UserName\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\M-2000C". After reopening DCS and going to the options > controls menu it started working fine and allowed me change anything i wanted.

This two threads should be related. It is always posted not to create a thread for a previously reported bug.
