H-street Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 My Hardware Vista64 X2 5800 4Gb DDR2 250Gb HDD Audigy2 Platinum ATI4850.. when switching from Theatre Map View to Cockpit view it doesn't muffle the sounds correctly - it sounds like when the door is open or in external view. switching to external view and then back to cockpit view seems to fix the problem..
mattpeckham Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Confirming this bug. Another way to trigger it is if you hit ESC to pause the sim then ESC again, you'll hear very loud audio, but if you then hit F2 for external view, then F1 to slip back into the cockpit, everything is (correctly?) muffled.
RvEYoda Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Similar problems here, xp32 S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). This generates the ultimate sparse matrix, an m-by-n all zero matrix. - Matlab help on 'sparse'
Jeevz Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Also when you fist enter the cockpit from the fly button the sounds are coming from the external view. If you F2 out to external then back to the cockpit with F1 it restores cockpit sounds.

BTTW-DratsaB Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 I am having this problem also, I know its not new and it is known about. I used to have the same issue in FC and Lockon, but in BS it is causing a problem for me with the training tracks. In any training mission that starts with the engines on (all the Abris ones except for the 1st) they are way too loud, like when the door is open. Obviously I cant change views because it is a track. When the track ends and I take control the only way to fix the sound is to open the door, turn off the engines, restart the engines and close the door when the engines are fully spooled up. Turning engines sound effects to 0 in the options seems to do nothing. I can barely hear the narrator in the training, this stuff is complicated enough to figure out without addition of a barely audible narrator. Any sugestions? Im also guessing that when 1.01 comes out none of these tracks will work any more, so is anyone planning to make some FRAPS videos of the training tracks, or maybe its already been done? funkee Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 (edited) got the same problem. bug known from LockOn/Flaming Cliffs. engine sound after pressing pause or Esc keys is much louder. after swtiching externals and going back to the pit, the sound volume backs to normal, but sound is still corrupted (it sounds like doppler effect or something like this...) my system is Vista x64 (but on XP had the same bug) and my soundcard Realtek ALC889A... Frakin Toasters Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 You'd think they'd fix an engine bug like that for a new separate game
