I can't get enough of the A-10 cockpit, so thought I'd make a thread where people can post the pics they have of the cockpit for us all to enjoy, it may even help out some pitbuilders. I'll start with a few I have;

Ah...the A model pit brings back lots of good memories :D

I love the glareshield on the A-10A. The A-10A looks a lot easier to operate judging by the cockpit, probably not the case though?

Nice pics

thanks :)

Looks bloody hard to operate if you ask me. Everything looks more bunched up.

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

Cockpit in a second photo is a very strange, some gauges are differently arranged.

Is that an early A-10A pit or a twin seater A-10B version?

There is a lack of RWR so Y-10 or A-10B sounds about right.

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

I think it's just a mockup of a cockpit that was perhaps taken to airshows?

I think the A-10B has an F-15 style HOTAS? There was only one made so I'm sure info/photos of the cockpit are hard to find.

Yeah possibly.

OT: But the A-10 is so much sexier with two pits. :D

CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

It is an egress training cockpit. I have some other pictures of it and some of the A-10B model. I will post this week

There was only one ever made as far as I Know 73-1664 c/n A10-001 .

The YA-10B is on display at the Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) Museum at Edwards AFB. this is a good pic where you can see the original nose art of the owl a bit
