During a fight, when vigorously turning his head, sometimes the pilot's soul "flies away" and he begins to see himself from the outside)))

I made a CAP Mission, and unlike the few other A-G Missions I've made the last few days I do not get any data from AWACS or Wingman. AWACS is not more than 200NM from Bandits, and AWACS will give me Bogey Dope and Picture via Voice. On correct Frequency. I do not get any HSD Position Report from my Wingman. But can still hear him on voice. I start up the bird the same way as before. Any suggestions on what might be the issue?

When I prepare my F18C from cold to hot, RDR alt does not work properly at all. I have tried several ways to start-up the F18 properly but it is always the same, RDR ALT does not work. When I flip the switch from BARO to RDR the "B" above flashes. When then switch back to BARO "B" disappears. But when I start the flight with the hot plane on the apron (without manual starting-up), everything works fine. What did I do wrong?

cannot produce and mssing track file LST with the Sniper pod
davidp57 posted a topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Hi, I've tested a few times to get the laser from a buddy (in an F16, with the Litening pod) or from a JTAC drone. It works well with the Litening, but I almost always fail to get a track with the Sniper. Do I miss something? -
Flew near an enemy base, got hit by a SAM, had no effect. Flew back over on purpose, hit by 30 SAM's, no damage.

After engines startup when I turn on AFCS (SAU) switch, all green lights on autopilot buttons start to blink and nothing happens. I don't touch the stick (FFBeast), I even turned it off in, turned off axis bindings. On the startup tutorials videos of other people I see only damper button light starts blinking and stick moves on its own during test. Nothing happens in my case, no matter how long I wait. I cannot even finish the built in training tutorial.

I can't seem to have a reliable positive response when I interrogate a friendly aircraft. On the the upfront panel, I have the IFF on (indicating XP), I bring the radar cursor over the track, SCS depress followed by SCS right. on the AZ/AL format, I can see that the interrogation is executed (vertical green lines appear around the track). Sometimes the friendly aircraft responds correctly, but sometimes it does not. The only way it seems to reliably perform a friend/foe interrogation is to STT the target. Only then I can get a reliable friend response. Hornet should be able to perform IFF interrogation without an STT (like in the F16, and even the F4E), so what am I doing wrong? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Edit: Here is a track file depicting the problem I'm having. F18 IFF issue.trk

Following the procedure from the manual, I cannot acquire a lock using the Lock On/NWS button. Master Arm on Radar in Illuim mode RAD Mode Inboard Missiles selected Span adjusted to target size Bandit strobes visible (single 3-dot line) Position Target acquisition box over strobe Press Lock On/NSW Nothing happens. I can only get locks using IR missiles with Optical Electronic sight. Radar will not lock.

So last night, I experienced a glitch where I was going along the taxiway towards the runway. I tried putting on the brakes when I was about to turn for the runway. I couldn't. I checked controls to see if it was assigned to my joystick, and it was. This morning, I tested it again, and it worked. Did anyone have this issue? I mean, I hadn't done anything.

I guess I didn't fully understand yet how to activate the F-16C autopilot. The DCS manual lists the following conditions for disengagement: Angle-of-Attack exceeds 15°. Bank angle exceeds 60°. Low speed audio warning is triggered. Landing gear is extended and locked. The autopilot has failed or malfunctioned. The FLCS is operating on Digital Backup software. ALT FLAPS switch is set to EXTEND position below 400 knots. TRIM/AP DISC switch is set to DISC position. AIR REFUEL switch is set to OPEN position. MANUAL PITCH switch is set to OVRD position. However although none of the above conditions are met after enganging alt hold autopilot the aircraft pitches or rolls off after a few seconds and must be stabilized manually to prevent uncontrolled flight. HDG sel does not seem to be activated to, at least the aircraft does not seem to follow to next steering point although it's activated and coords are set correctly. Please help to understand how to operate A/P correctly in the F-16C.

Is there any way to successfully conduct an auto delivery pre GPS? I’m trying some Cold War Germany stuff doing low level pops and snakeye delivery but auto seems unusable. Everytime I designate from the hid the auto delivery line is way off, and that’s even if I do an air start or ins update right before. Am I missing a step somewhere?

Hello to all! After a carrier departure and making some turns, I get an hud offset in my hornet: Can anybody help and say why this will occur?

Hi ED! I’d like to better understand a limitation I’ve been facing with the AH-64D in DCS. Why is the CPG unable to detect infantry on the ground using the sensors, even when they’re out in the open and at close range? Is this an intentional design choice, a limitation of the AI or sensor modeling, or something that might be improved in the future? Thanks!

Out of the blue, this radios volume has become very low even when turned all the way up. With or without SRS. Any ideas why?

cannot produce and mssing track file Low accuracy of JSWO-A
jack333 posted a topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Hi, I'm having a problem with the F-16's JSWO-A weapons. No matter how hard I try, they're inaccurate where I program them to hit with the TPOD. Is this just me? Could it be that they're drifting in the wind? Best regards, and thank you. -
cannot produce and mssing track file AIM-x Tracking Issues?
mmike87 posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
At some point over the last couple of updates, the behavior of the AIM-9X missile on the F-16 seems to have gotten a little wonky. When engaging targets at a variety of ranges and aspects, about half the time the missile goes crazy and goes off in a random direction in a spiral flight path. Has anyone else observed this? I've fired the missiles previously into the Sun, etc., and had them not track, but I've never seen them go off in a spiral flight path before. Stretch a slinky. And you can visualize the flight path that the missile seems to be taking. I have no idea what is actually realistic for the missile, but a flight path like that would seem kind of odd to me. -
Sometimes when I lock a target up in the HAD and fire in PB EOM, the missile flies off but then goes stupid and crashes who knows where. Any idea why? Am I locking up a ghost return in the HAD for a target that doesn't exist anymore? See the shot at 11:30. I had PGM2 before I locked and fired. v6, boNes

Help with walleye and DL13 pod. I have watched a ton of videos but I am not sure what I am missing. I cant get the Walleye to show the seeker head video when on the plane? I have made sure the channels and station are the same and it isn't the same display where where they are not talking. Am I understanding it wrong? If I launch the walleye as soon as it leaves the plane I get seeker head data and can target with TDC.

Is there a specific order that AI aircraft should be placed so that they all taxi correctly and takeoff? I've been trying to set a full deck of aircraft, but at some point, and not always the same, one aircraft blocks another. Sometimes, they just stop, others they collide and then stop.

Not sure if the next hot patch fixes this (DCS currently giving Error 500). Power on TGP as part of pre-flight. Get into the air, activate the JDAM 2k Penetrator. Toggle on TGP and OFF screen. Only way I seem to get it back is to power the pylon off and on, wait. Eventually get some soft of Not SOI screen. Eventually get enough of a menu to select AG and get the TGP to work.

using this setup: The hardware is: CPU: Intel Gen11 Core i9 GPU: Asus TUF 4070 Ti Super (16GB) OC RAM: 64GB DDR4 3600MHz Oculus Quest 3 using Link cable with OpenXR and having these quite reasonable settings in VR (see attached screenshots). Anytime I do a flyover the supercarrier, I get major stutters and frames drop from a steady 72fps to 50fps. Any known issues with this?
