From what I have read, 64 bit is just for Radeon. I have an Nvidia 570. Are Clod or DCS 64 or 32 bit?

Ive got this downloaded. Ive read the thread. And I still have the two sided screen that pops up. Ive gone into notepad C ++ and my setting is 0 because i am operating one screen. Thoughts?

Now Im not the most computer savy guy on the planet but copy the Scroll key on the keyboard. I hit that and its on. I then go into NOTEPAD ++ and on the tab I right click and reload once ive erased my 0 and then typed it in again?

 

Still no joy.

Tried this AND the download in post 1 - still have splitscreen.

I have opened the file in notepad++ and its definately set to '0'.

 

Any ideas gents?

 

Edit: Never mind, I discovered that you have to disable mod and re-enable it again for settings to work.

Hey guys. I made a quick video showing how to fix the splitscreen problem some of you are having.

How do you disable the Print Screen key in SweetFX? I use Fraps for screenshots, and so now both SweetFX and Fraps are taking screenshots when I press Print Screen! So it takes twice as long!!

 

I have commented out the line in the injector.ini file to disable the print screen key assignment:

;key_screenshot = 44 ; 44 = PRINTSCREEN

 

but that did not work. Somehow it still takes screenshots and I find them in the DCS bin folder.

 

So, I assigned the command to a different key. I tried these:

key_screenshot = 999 ; 44 = PRINTSCREEN

and

key_screenshot = 10 ; 44 = PRINTSCREEN

 

but it still takes screenshots.

Sometimes I noticed, when i use some sweetfx_settings.txt from internet, that settings don`t have that section and keys PrtScr, ScrollLock, Pause/Break not work. After I add this section manualy keys work ... so, maybe that help you.

I have edited my sweet fx splitscreen notepad ++ to 0. saved the document. Reactivated it in JSGME and still I get a split screen?

Did you edit the settings file that is in your bin folder? If so, you deleted it and reinstalled your mod file version when you reactivated it in JSGME.

 

Make sure you edit the one in your JSGME mods folder, then disable and re-enable it.

I would disable it first, edit the file in your JSGME Mods folder, save it, and then Re-enable it.

Got couple questions though. I'm running windows 7 64bit. If there was any incompatability, how could I tell?

 

My cockpit panel is too dark. enough so that I may not use this mod. Is there a way to tweak this??

Your settings file has many adjustments that can be made. The problem in DCS is that it is a bit of a trade off between what looks good outside the pit, and inside.

You will have to edit 2 files to get your desired level of brightness - cldDraw.fx and cldImp.fx (Bazar/Shaders/clouds):

 

in cldDraw.fx search for line 421

 

float3 finclr=saturate((t1*pix_const6+r0))*(0.02+1.2*grad)*cldclr + 0.04;

 

change to the following (parts in bold)

 

float3 finclr=saturate((t1*pix_const6+r0))*(0.2+0.8*grad)*cldclr; (just remove the + 0.04 part)

 

and in cldImp.fx line 153:

 

c*=cldclr + 0.04;

 

just remove the + 0.04 also so it's just c*=cldclr;

 

OR

you could just use older cldDraw.fx and cldImp.fx files from an earlier version that you prefered, this might be your easiest route.
