Dudester22 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Can you send messages to other A10C players online via the MFCD? If you can is this only for the A10C players or can some other aircraft use it aswell?
MTFDarkEagle Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Yes you can (only other Charlie drivers). Check the MSG page on the (right) MFCD. Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread

Rongor Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 There is a very good guide to this SADL function in the user files section of the dcs homepage: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/84655/ Getting used to these functions really helps a lot in the hog, especially in MP. 1
ENO Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 That is great- for the longest time I was under some weird impression that passing a tasking on to specific aircraft involved more steps but that makes plenty of sense. Thanks for linking that rongor. "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art
Rongor Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 It's so much fun to send messages on Multiplayer servers via SADL to unknown buddies in their A-10Cs and without using chat functions then get a reply from them. This also assures both pen pals the other one having accomplished a distinct level of knowledge of the machine.
MTFDarkEagle Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Well.. Sending a message via the system doesn't require any deep system knowledge... :P Lukas - "TIN TIN" - 9th Shrek Air Strike Squadron TIN TIN's Cockpit thread
Rongor Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 True, but at least you can pretend so and show off:D

Wrecking Crew Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 A neat trick I heard about is to map the CDU alphanumeric keys to your KB. A guy set his KB Spacebar as a Modifier and mapped the 0-9, A-Z with that combo. Ahh! Looking at the Options, Controls for the A-10C Sim, these CDU keys are mapped to the 0-9 and A-Z keys with LCntrl-LWin-(key) It's a pain to type on the CDU, this ^^^ makes it easier. Supersheep Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Yeah as you figured out, they're mapped by default :D Great idea from ED to do that I agree. The PVC Pipe Joystick Stand How to thread
Devrim Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 ...but of course, the receiver pilot must be aware of the incoming message. I sent some messages in vary servers, but I got no response. :) Probably they didn't realize and/or didn't notice ACKWLG indicator. :) Intel i7-14700@5.6GHz | MSI RTX4080 SuperSuprimX | Corsair V. 64GB@6400MHz. | Samsung 1TB 990 PRO SSD (Win10Homex64) Samsung G5 32" + Samsung 18" + 2x8"TFT Displays | TM Warthog Stick w/AVA Base | VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle | TM MFD Cougars | Logitech G13, G230, G510, PZ55 & Farming Sim Panel | TIR5 & M.Quest3 VR >>MY MODS<< | Discord: Devrim#1068
