So which aircraft flight model is it using?

For the F-16A it's the 25T and the F-16MLU it's the Mig-29, I'm sure it uses their flight models.

This is from the first post

F-16A and F-16 block 50 with Su-25T cockpit will allow use of AGM-65 Mavericks and Laser guided bombing. Air to Air limited to AIM-9 missiles.

F-16MLU and F-16 block 52 with MiG-29 cockpit. (requires Flaming Cliffs 3) Will allow air to air with all missiles. But ground attack limited to basic unguided bombs and rockets.

The flight Model is the F-16 FM i think - all the Parameters are editable in the ACs Lua file.

So You don't have the FM data from the Cockpit which is attached to the plane but from the lua file that belongs to the (AI) plane

It uses its own flight model. The F-16 flight model from default DCS F-16.

It only imports the cockpit.

And on a side note to all...

1.2.8 has affected the aircraft, the one with the MiG cockpit seems to still be working fine. However the one with F-15C cockpit seems to cause crashes now, will have to start testing and tweaking again!

It seems that 1.2.8 has changed the name required for the controls input folder which allowed me to unlock almost every aircraft in DCS world...

Does anyone know where I can find a file with these names?

Placed the 3D Su-27 cockpit instead. Looks nice. Haven't released this version yet, will do it after next official DCS update in case anything changes.

To gain again control over the keyboard, mouse and TrackIR, you must copy all (of course only from one plane) from the flaming cliffs input folder's into your mod's input folder.

They changed some code in the lua files. I had had the problem, that i was stuck in my cockpit and could do absolut nothing.

No keyboard inputs, no mouse, no TrackIR. The DCS-World around me was still running, but without me....

Since i replaced the lua files. All was fine. The only thing which is not working, is the F-15 Pit as described before.

I can't seem to be able to adjust salvo quantity, is this a bug for the Su-27 cockpit in general?

If trying with the Mk-82 multiple bomb racks, yes, its bug :S I turned to using instead the mk-84s so that all bombs don't go off at once.

Deleted and I will no longer support version 3.

Since June 2nd there has been Version 4 available, link located at the first post of this thread.

Pretty soon DCS will come up with a new 1.2.9 version, this may bring changes that may possibly affect the F-16 mod. I will do my best to keep up with the updates. I saw somewhere a screenshot of a nice new F-16 model ;) hopefully we see that soon!

I have a question that is how to build up that cmd file for using FC3 cockpit. What's its function?

In the entry.lua the section that says old = 3, that part determines the cockpit. 3 is the code for su-27 cockpit.

New version available compatible with DCS 1.2.10. Version 1 that came out this morning I had to take it down, but version 2 is already up and ready. Had to fix some control inputs missing. So all good to go! Link on first post!

Correct, for the F16 you need the DCS World\Bazar\World\textures folders.

Look in WorldTexturesBMP1 and WorldTexturesBMP2, thats where the F16 DDS files are.

DCS World\Bazar\Liveries\ stores the LUA file, with info to what country the unit is assigned to, what sqn, custom skins, etc.

Btw, if you want to use custom skins, it might be handy store them in this location. See example below.

That is my F16 MLU liveries folder. You see I added some Dutch squads.

liv1.jpg

This is what is inside. The 2 DDS files replace the default skins, as instructed within the LUA file.

liv2.jpg

Hope it makes more sense now.

Trial and error, or use the modelviewer. It will show you what files are loaded. However, the modelviewer is not too user friendly :(

Below is the LUA I use for the dutch F-16A MLU:

livery = {
{"texture f-16-okras-r3.bmp f2 g0", 0, "323sqn.dds" , false},
{"texture f-16-okras-l1.bmp f2 g0", 0, "f-16rnlaf.dds" , false},
}
name = "323rd Diana squadron"
countries = {
   "NETH",
}

The *.bmp files are the default textures, as found in WorldTexturesBMP1 and WorldTexturesBMP2.

The f2 g0 I have no idea, I just use them.

The next 0 dito.

The *.dds files are my own skins, adjusted and edited to make the Dutch F-16.

The FALSE means that DDS will look for the DDS textures inside the liveries folder. When using TRUE it will look in the DCS World\Bazar\World\textures folder. Better to keep that folder stock, and place custom skins inside your Liveries folder.

I dont know for sure, but I guess the texture f-16-okras-l1.bmp/texture f-16-okras-l2.bmp and the texture f-16-okras-r1.bmp/texture f-16-okras-r2.bmp are the US textures.

If you need more examples, go to the user files section of the DCS site, and download Blackshark's F-16 skins. Check the LUA files, and it will be more clear :)
