blackbelter Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Is this a new feature? When I heard for the first time a high-pitched sound, very much like that made by a bird, I thought it was some external sound. Then I heard it again in another mission. The two sounds were the same as far as I could tell. Is this a new feature that I just discovered? I don't recall reading about it anywhere... Even if it is a new feature, it is not implemented rightly... It is hard to imagine one being able to hear a bird making such a loud/clear sound amid all the noise made by the engine. So what is it?
blackbelter Posted March 2, 2014 Author Posted March 2, 2014 Source of the sound found. Sorry, my bad.

It is hard to imagine one being able to hear a bird making such a loud/clear sound amid all the noise made by the engine. Uh- so. Did it turn out to be a feature that WAS implemented rightly? VincentLaw Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Check DCS World\Sounds\Effects\Ambient Field.ogg, Field_Night.ogg, and Town.ogg have bird and insect noises. I assume you heard one of these. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Dudester22 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Maybe the bird got sucked into the engine and that is the reason you heard it screaming or should I say chirping.
