HiJack Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Installed and working on one of our servers. We will do some testing. Thanks DArt
59th_Spy Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Hi DArt! I installed the latest version (today's) and when I try to connect, its seems to be successful, but one sec after I get error message always: The host canceled the connection. What could be the problem?

Eddie Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Dart, another thought, is there any way to add a method of being able to choose/limit which RADARs in a mission feed info to lotatc? It'd be nice to be able to take SHORAD assets/non IADS units/non datalink equipped RADARs/etc. out of the feed. Or just limit to a single AWACS a/c for example (or even have individual controllers taking a feed from a separate RADAR station).

From now, I limit radar from their detection range (only radar with more than 5001m are displayed). If I exposed this limit (so you could set more and only let AWACS to be part of the radar coverage), could be a solution to your request? Another idea: doing like for virtual awacs, put a regex on unit name to add in ignore list or in the other side in the force radar list... [ https://www.lotatc.com ]
Eddie Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Another idea: doing like for virtual awacs, put a regex on unit name to add in ignore list or in the other side in the force radar list... Both options would work I think. A unit/group name prefix sounds like a good solution if it's possible, it'd give mission designers good control over which units feed into lotatc.

Rgr that, it is not a big task, I will try to do it for next release. :) [ https://www.lotatc.com ]
Looney Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 DArt, the 132nd will conduct a precision approach radar procedural landing training with LotAtc. The aim is to see where we stand with regards to procedures and is both DCS and LotAtc are aligned properly. I also have a few questions and maybe even features for LotAtc. Can I send you the feedback from this training session? Will you be able to join perhaps? It's on our event calendar. dabomb Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Hey DArt, Have you tested LotAtc on Windows Server 2008 R2 by any chance?
DArt Posted February 1, 2016 Author Posted February 1, 2016 Hey DArt, Have you tested LotAtc on Windows Server 2008 R2 by any chance? No, but I think it should work. If DCS run on it, LotAtc server should OK. For client, it will depends of directx access. [ https://www.lotatc.com ]
Pikey Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 I did. there was some prerequisites with the .net feature I found, i might have put them in this thread. I've changed to a desktop class OS as 2008 could be a bit restrictive at times. Hey DArt, Have you tested LotAtc on Windows Server 2008 R2 by any chance? ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *

Pikey Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 The thing is I can't get the rc5 installer to show anything for the install like with open beta. Can I copy the mods/tech/lotatc folder across from one to the other? seems when I try I can get the appearance of being installed but no network connection or logs. ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *

Server installer should detect the openAlpha too at install. I will check that with openAlpha update. To install manually: Copy all Saved Games/DCS/mods/tech/LotAtc Copy Saved Games/DCS/Scripts/lotatcGameGui.lua Copy all Dll in {DCS Install}/bin/Qt* and icu* Copy all Dll in {DCS Install}/bin/plugins After, It should work. Pikey Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Interesting...no! I have a nevada key. Also just did a repair. Key not there. DCSW is there. I can recreate one and check I normally check in the windows registry the key: Current User\Software\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\Path have you this key? ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *

DArt Posted February 7, 2016 Author Posted February 7, 2016 Nice :) I will search why you have not the reg path... [ https://www.lotatc.com ]
aemvee Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 This might be something I faced with the rc3 I think. DCS was installed with a different user than LotATC. LotATC wasn't able to recognize neither 1.5 nor 2.0. After I did the installation with the same user as DCS everything worked ok. Didn't had the time/intrest to search the registry. I've reinstalled the whole system since.
DArt Posted February 8, 2016 Author Posted February 8, 2016 Affirm, registry key are set for the installer user, not others... :) [ https://www.lotatc.com ]
