We've only got the use to change key bindings in game..... only cos They've dropped 32bit support.

Anyway I haven't changed my audio levels since I installed it..

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

It'll come in due time, I'm sure.

From my understanding, the problem is that back in the 32-bit days when launcher and simulator had to be completely segregated (memory concerns, renderer issues etc), the simulator was (understandably) written to take a lot of things as launch parameters. Therefore, getting those things back in might require some re-engineering of the simulator code, which can easily be harder than it sounds. (Changing existing code is always harder than writing code on a fresh design.)

We've got the remapping in, and I doubt the devs will stop there. But as for a "when", I don't know. Depends on priorities, staff availability and so on and so forth. (Remember that you can't take just any programmer on the team to do any random job; they're all specialized and bad things would happen if you try to force them to suddenly work on code that they are not famliar with. Think of it like asking a humanities author to suddenly write a book on quantum physics, and you'll see that just as "author" doesn't mean you can write a book about any topic, "programmer" doesn't mean you are well placed to hop between fields.)

*bump*

I'm bumping this ;)

When using Teamspeak, to get all the different audio channels set to the right levels so that all audio channels including Teamspeak are clear and discernible is practically impossible.

Since up until now I'm only flying WWII war birds I cannot say, but comparing the audio characteristics from one aircraft module to the next may also require different audio settings.

Even if this would require reworking the the 'launcher' with regards to this, it may be something that not only I, but many users would enjoy, having up until now simply accepted this feature to be not available.

You can easily adjust the volume to work with Teamspeak by alt-tabbing back to your Windows desktop, and adjusting the DCS World volume slider there. Again, once set, it will never need to be altered again. I don't understand why you say that different aircraft cause you to need to change the levels. Even in DCS audio, the changes are global, so you will have to set them for what you perceive to be the most difficult aircraft anyway.

It'd be nice to have this as an in-game facility, but it really isn't a major issue if you use the tools you already have available. In my experience, it is a set it and forget it item.

I'll have to try that.

I've tried this without any success.

First off, changing the sliders for Volume and Music does nothing until the program is stopped and started again; no real time affects.

Secondly, once in-mission, where you can hear sounds in the 'World', you can <Alt><Tab> to another running program, but there is no 'main' DCS program running to which one might switch to change the audio settings, nor would it make any difference, because it seems that the audio setting are read once when DCS-World is started, but never again.

So the situation is worse that I thought at the beginning

A unified executable makes this likely to be a fulfilled wish, if not with the release of 1.5, I would expect it relatively soonish.
