HiJack Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 I like to fly all aircrafts and use all the different weapons, it's quite a collection :)
Lizzard Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 I hope thats a sign that something good is about to happen :) ..we all do..:) My Specs: I don`t care..it is a Computer..a black one..
Grim_Smiles Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 The pilot's 3D model need an upgrade as well. However as has been said above, SU-25T is a must have because of SEAD. It's probably the most important aircraft for our games. Pilot needs a fix, but I'm wondering if the whole external model needs a revamp like the Su-27, 33 received? I really haven't taken a very close look at the exterior appearance to really judge how good the model is, but if the pilot figure needs an upgrade maybe the whole model does as well? Might have to fire the game up tonight and do a comparison between the Toad and the newer aircraft models. Having the Toad fixed up is definitely needed for the SEAD role. That's the main mission I'd like to fly in DCS, especially in multiplayer. Would prefer a hi-fi multi-role fighter that does SEAD, but the F-18 is a while off and even then the Russian side will still only have the Toad. I hope thats a sign that something good is about to happen While it is always possible something can be released tomorrow, the main reason for the low level of news received is due to ED's new policy, referred to as "valve" style (and I'm hoping that means valve as in piping and not Valve as in Half Life 3). Which frankly I think was a terrible move, punishing the majority for the actions of a minority, but we don't get a say in that unfortunately. While something good is always in the works, the small tidbits of news with a good deal of silence doesn't necessarily mean anything is right around the corner. kontiuka Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 ^ The external model for the Su-25T is already pretty good. It's not like Mig-29 or some of the AI aircraft which look extremely dated.

Okay good to know, glad we don't have to worry about a new external model then. Pretty sure the Pilot is a separate EDM I always thought it was part of the model, but if it's separate than that would be great. Would it then just be a matter of having it use the Su-27 pilot EDM? (Though I'm sure the actual process would be more complex than what I just wrote, but you get the idea) "Hurled headlong flaming from the ethereal sky; With hideous ruin and combustion down; To bottomless perdition, there to dwell; In adamantine chains and penal fire" (RIG info is outdated, will update at some point) i5 @3.7GHz (OC to 4.1), 16GB DDR3, Nvidia GTX 970 4GB, TrackIR 5 & TrackClip Pro, TM Warthog HOTAS, VKB T-Rudder Mk.IV, Razer Blackshark Headset, Obutto Ozone
chardly38 Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 I know it will never happen but it would be great if the Su-25t was fully click able and worked with helios like the A10. But Ill just have to settle for a 6dov pit. The_Pharoah Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 TBH I'm pretty happy with the current controls of the Frog. Again, its not an A10C with advanced weaponry I wouldn't think so the current controls are probably sufficient. I'm not saying they're perfect (and I wouldn't prefer having a fully clickable cockpit), however if that means time diverted away from development of the FA/18 - I say leave the Frog alone. SkateZilla Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Sorry guys, just checked, the SU-25/SU-25T Pilots are part of the External Mesh. ArtMan_NL Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 (edited) I know they are old :) But you can bet there will be people who haven't seen them yet. Yes. Thanks. :) I hope BS and SU-25(T) will in the future be updated by a dev team. Those aircraft are to good to be forgotten. Edited March 12, 2014 by ArtMan_NL
sleepycanuck Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 When it came to flying the frogfoot I stuck primarily to the "T" model but since the new 6 DoF "A" model came out I have been split pretty evenly between the two. I would dearly love to see the "T" updated to the 3D/6DoF standard. I have been messing around with the mods that are out there that give more freedom of the head movement and that helps. Fingers crossed that it will be soon. SleepyCanuck [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
