Nice. I did something similar a few weeks ago. Three of us were chasing a fleeing red AI who was approaching Nalchik. After exhausting my ammo I had the silly idea to fly below him and interfere with his extended gear. Somehow I got him to lose control and crash... At the cost of my entire rudder. I flew all the way back to Beslan with no problem and landed. I'll add the video I took when I get home.

I hope we will be able to tip V-1 Buzz Bombs with our wingtips. It didn't work so well in Il-2 multiplayer.

Truly superior pilots are those that use their superior judgment to avoid those situations where they might have to use their superior skills.

If you ever find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

They need to implement aerodynamic interaction between airplanes first for it to work the way it is explained on wikipedia. Otherwise, physical contact should work, but you might end up damaging your own plane.

I damage my own plane all the time anyway... even without interacting with other aircraft. :joystick:

yep, and even if they do model it (hopefully we 'll also eventually have wake turbulence), they 'll need to implement a gyroscopic-driven AFM for the V1. IIRC, it was the disturbance in the gyroscope that caused the V1s to flip and dive and not the mere force of the mechanical "push" by the aircraft's wing.

The three best things in life are a good landing, a good orgasm, and a good bowel movement. The night carrier landing is one of the few opportunities in life to experience all three at the same time.

Even though we dont have much of any WWII environment right now, share your best dogfight, or moment, with the P-51D.

Mine just came a couple days ago :D :

Thats awesome!

I remember that. I have to check when I get home but I think I have a screen shot of the rudder all messed up but still attached. Do you have the clip of when you stripped me of my right elevator in rout to shoot down the general's plane?

One of my favorite moments happen when I was trying to get clips for this video. I did a barrel roll around this 190 then watched his canopy narrowly miss my plane as it went flying by after I made him eject... I couldn't figure out how to embed a movie at a particular time so just fast forward to a little before 2:00 or click
